My husband and I spend a week there for our 30 years anniversary and we absolutely loved it. The manager and all the host were so nice, they make us feel so welcome there. I would definitely go back in the future. I highly recommend Bora Bora to anyone who has not been there yet.

We went here for our honeymoon and were MIND BLOWN! Just in general Bora Bora is BEAUTIFUL Destination and is truly a paradise! The hotel itself was GORGEOUS also - we stayed in an over water bungalow which was super romantic, clean and just waking up to the ocean everyday made us feel like we were in a different world. The staff is JUST AMAZING - going out of their way to help you in any way they can. It s just happy people all around !

Plenty of things to do in the hotel (Kayaks, snorkeling etc). They have night entertainment which includes a traditional dance show with dinner. For an additional charge you can also do romantic dinner on the beach.

Since this hotel is connected to the main island, there are plenty of things to do. Only thing was they didn t have a spa onsite but you can visit their sister property if that s your thing. It s not my thing so I am not taking away points for that.

The food was decent, I wouldn t say it was 5 stars but again I am not into seafood, Tahitian food but they have plenty of options and restaurants in walkable distance if you don t want to eat at the hotel.

get tickets before hand. We stayed at the maitai but this place was beautiful.
This is one of the slightly more expensive places on the island. We walked the pier to the end of the bungalows and had a romantic night looking at the fish and stars.

At this time, it was barely possible to get out of the room due to the strong wind. Although it was a good place, I couldn't swim with the algae swept away by the wind. The room also felt a bit old. I think it depends on when you go.

It's like a Tiki Bar with beds. Staff is incredibly warm and really made feel welcome band special for our honeymoon. The hotel is on the island, so you don't need a boat to get it unlike many of the other hotels. A good little grocery is a short walk away. Across the is Matira beach where you will catch one of the best sunsets of your life. Over water bungalow is the way to go, with a glass coffee table that opens so you can feed the fish below. Great pool. Gluten free pizza. The Polynesian dancers on Saturday night were so much fun.

Do I really want to talk about this hotel??? I have endless good things to say about this hotel. Photos speak thousand words. I would let readers decide if it's worth staying here. First of all, It is a full service resort, so you can pretty much stay at the hotel to enjoy some basic water sports. However, if you want to get outside of resort, join the lagoon tour and 4x4 jeep tour. Speaking of tours, I didn't mind booking with the hotel concierge. I booked combo of lagoon and 4 x 4 Jeep tour, and the price difference is less than USD$10 compared with booking with some tour websites. You've got attentive concierge service as well as knowledgeable staff to explain tours to you in a great detail. For the photography avid folks, this hotel has the best location where you can see the sunrise and sunset without having to travel to special spots to snap a few impressive photos. Last but not the least, the hotel is 4-starred, but the services are definitely 5-starred. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. They really treat you well. Before coming to French Polynesia, so many people told me to join the cruise to save big dollars on hotel lodging. After staying at this hotel, I have no regrets whatsoever. The money is well spent!!!

This place is incredible. The scenery is beyond imaginable. The staff is also fantastic.
As long as all of the staff and guests maintain all the safety regulations like social distancing, wearing their masks (when around other people) and washing and sanitizing their hands all the time... this place is like heaven on earth.

Only been here 24 hours and it's the best vacation I've been on in my life.

Staying in an owb end-of-pontoon for birthday and anniversary. Usually go to Hawaii annually, but may consider a switch. Each personal deck you can go into the ocean and the view of Mt Otemanu. And the glass coffee table top can open up so you can see down into the water. Weather has been spectacular!

Mao checked us in and was very informative. Our package had included breakfast not sure if they all do.

The walkable market was a gamechanger for us we like to shop local snacks and there's also a really good restaurant 5 minute walk from the resort too.

There's a lot more to say and I may edit again in the future once my ideas are all sorted. Time to jump in the clear waters agai for now!

I can t say enough of ICH LeMoana, Amazing location and beautiful hotel. Bora Bora is the most beautiful place I have been to, it s the ultimate beach destination. The hues of blue are incredible, and the beach access at the hotel is so convenient you are able to do some snorkeling just a couple of feet away from the beach front bungalow. the hotel is on the main island and not on a motu, also, viatape is a short taxis ride away, about 10$ and there you can buy souvenirs jewelry and handcrafted items made by the locals. It s a vacation I will never forget. Last thing, brush up on French ( at least the basics)if you plan on going, but the hotel and locals will speak English if you need.

For Vini Vini: we had lunch there (we are not hotel guests) and sadly the food was very disappointing. We had a pizza and fish tacos and they were a complete miss, the kind of quality you'd expect at a random diner in the middle of the US. Desserts were OK, service was efficient and friendly. Nice view on Tahaa and beautiful water since it's so close to Matira but tables are very close to the swimming pool so if you are not a hotel guest you may feel like you are intruding a little bit. A missed opportunity for the hotel. I'd be mad if I were staying there and had to eat there everyday.

Great hotel with great customer services. Staff are super friendly and are always smiling. We had such a great time staying in an overwater bungalow. The inside of the room was so pretty and well put together, and the see through table is great to see free fish swimming underneath the bungalow. My favorite was the back where you could swim in the beautiful blue clear waters or just sit and enjoy the amazing view. Food is pretty good. I highly recommend staying here!

Good just not amazing. Service was generally ok if a little slow. Couldn't fault the beach bungalow. Internet was not reliable. But amazing views and lovely breakfast. Very expensive for food and drink. Also asked if we were celebrating anything special so I told them we were here for my 40th, but received nothing as a bonus

InterContinental Le Moana Resort is located on the south side of the main island, at the famous Matira point, considered as one of the most beautiful beach in the world. The hotel situated only 8 kilometres away from the main city of Vaitape, offers you a breathtaking view on the lagoon, but also on the impressive Mt Otemanu and Pahia. Le Moana is on the inner island and not the Motu s surrounding Bora Bora making tourists access to restaurants easy compared to an expensive water taxi.

No room service, only a couple of restaurants open. The rooms look dated and need remodeling. Not an ideal vacation hotel for the money they charge

Great hotel, fantastic bungalows with outstanding view to the ocean. The breakfast is quite ok, bufet is available also life cooking station with pancakes, egg toasts, scrabble eggs etc. There is also nice beach. The service is very much helpfull and pleasant. Definitely worth to stay in bangalow in the water.

My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon here a year and a half ago. It's absolutely breathtaking. The views are phenomenal! The cleaning staff was great, the food was decent, the drinks were good, and the ocean was fantastic. It's probably one of the cheaper options if you desire the over-water bungalows. Ours was great and we'd stay here again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here!! The resort is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. We took the boat that the hotel offers which was a bit more but seemed easiest. We were greeted warmly in the airport by the hotel staff and were given a beautiful lei. They took our luggage to the boat and brought us cold water. The ride was easy and about 30 minutes. We arrived before check in and were given a cold fruity delicious drink and a short tour of the resort. They had our room ready early so we headed there. Our room was so awesome. We stayed in one of the over the water bungalows and it was huge, clean and beautiful!! We had a huge porch with lounges on it. And there is a part of the floor of the bungalow that is glass bottom so you can see the fish directly through your floor! We spent a lot of time lazing but the snorkeling under the bungalows was really good! And we ate several meals at the hotel and they were all delicious!! I would highly recommend staying here. Everything was perfect!!

We stayed in an overwater bungalow for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff were very friendly & helpful, breakfast was good, and the rooms were wonderful. We really enjoyed feeding the fish through our glass coffee table (we even saw a stingray!) and sitting out on our deck. We also received a small bottle of champagne since it was our honeymoon. The beach & pool area were a little small, but we didn't spend much time there anyways. The main public beach, stores, restaurants, & bars were just a short walk away.

Nice, comfy hotel. Is conveniently on main island. Not as luxurious as Thalasso, across the pond. But good place to stay a night or two or on short notice. Would recommend Thalasso if looking for seclusion, luxury, and immensely clear and clean beach.

My recommendation to you LOOK AT ANOTHER PROPERTY...

My recommendation to you LOOK AT ANOTHER PROPERTY IN BORA BORA, PLEASE!!! I can't even believe the price they ask for this hotel and what little the offer there guest. It was a huge mistake on my part staying here in Bora Bora, I should have stayed with Starwood properties.

We arrived and there was no one waiting for the three couples arriving by boat. The boat driver called for help three times before deciding to bring the boat in all on his own, trust me that went horribly. We arrive on the small island to fend for ourselves, as we all head towards the front desk we are stopped and told to proceed to the bar to check in. Oh yes they checked us in at the bar while serving other guest lunch and it is extremely unorganized. They also tried to make us sign a paper saying they were not responsible if something should happen to us. We did not sign it, not that a paper like that would ever stand up but when we said no they look shocked. Told them to send us the GM is there was an issue.

The rooms are nice, but definitely needs improvements. We stayed in a beachfront property. FYI the window are not closed, pretty much just wooden shutters which you close if you want the AC on. They offer one bottle of water per room, and told us we can drink the tap water if we want more water. I am from Canada and do not drink tap water when travelling and easly expect 2 bottles of water for 2 adults in a room. Not here, they told us to go to the local market to buy water. They offer a Nespresso machine in the room, but hey don't get too excited they don't give you the pods. You need to pay 4.50$ a pod should you want a Nespresso coffee in the room. OMG I have never in 35 countries visited have been told when staying at a hotel with a Nespresso machine in the room to buy the pods if I want one.

We never had breakfast with the hotel as it is very overpriced and not worth the 45$ a person what so ever. We had a look and decided since you had no options only the buffet and the buffet is worse then most cold buffet breakfasts offered at Holiday Inns we d skip it. We went to the local market where they told us to buy more water should we want and bought some cookies, fruit juice, pastries and fruit. This hotel is a mess when it comes to food. We wanted to eat dinner early one night, around 5pm and she told us they don t serve dinner until 6:30 and it finishes at 9:30. Should we wish to eat they have small canapies at the bar. I am on vacation and can t order food for dinner at 5:00pm. No of course not!

Also the noise from the town behind you is ridiculous, you can hear cars and dogs barking and scooters. This is not what I want on vacation. They are good at taking very nice pictures and only showing you what they want you to see, but this is not your dream Bora Bora vacation. We asked for a second set of shampoo, conditioner and lotion and they said we d get it the next day. I asked if they had a gym and they laughed in my face and said they re a four star hotel, we don t need to have a gym. Also the air-conditioning in the room sounds like a truck driving thru your room, its horrible and will keep you up all nice. If that doesn't then the bug flying all over the room which you cannot get ride of will when they decide to sleep in your hair or in your bed with you.

Overall this hotel is not a holiday worthy hotel and with rude staff, unhelpful staff who aren t looking to make sure you have the best vacation possible and being told to go to the market if you want anything this hotel ruined my relaxing Bora Bora beach vacation. There is little privacy, its very low class and needs massive improvements to even be considered a four star hotel. It s more of a motel 6 surrounded by clear warm water. I highly recommend you look elsewhere, look at other hotel chains which may offer a better experience.

My husband & I stayed 5 nights here during our vacation & I have to say I'm very pleased. The staff was so friendly & made us feel welcomed from the time we arrived, they always had a smile on their face. Our overwater bungalow was lovely & there was coral right underneath where we could go snorkel. The hotel is only a short walk to Matira beach where we would walk to watch the sunsets & you can see the sunrise from the hotel. Since it's located on the mainland we rented mountain bikes to visit the town of Vaitape, where we bought a bunch of souvenirs. Beware the bike ride took us about an 1hr & walking around town gets exhausting, but we felt adventurous & we could stop by at scenic spots to take pictures. The hotel does offer a shuttle service for around $15 per person vs $20 for each bike. You can also use the paddleboards & kayaks as long as you want, they just have to be returned by 5pm. Food was yummy we mainly had breakfast at the hotel & there's also several restaurants within walking distance. Overall it's very beautiful, peaceful, & romantic at a reasonable price compared to other hotels, I highly recommend it. :)

The overwater bungalows are breathtaking, perfect ...

The overwater bungalows are breathtaking, perfect for a honeymoon or special anniversary. Each bungalow has air conditioning, a large bathtub, and a glass coffee table that opens so you can feed the tropical fish! Service is excellent with direct boat to and from the airport. Beautiful waist-high water with white sand surrounds the area.

It is a very small resort, nice and private, so be prepared to relax and not do much (no gym or spa unless you take a boat to the other intercontinental hotel on Bora Bora), but it is on the main center island so you can walk to a few local restaurants or take a shuttle to the pearl shops or the famous Bloody Mary s restaurant.

The wife and I spent a week here and absolutely loved it. We have been together for over 10 years and I believe the views from our over the water bungalow are the reason why she let me do things to her that she hasn't let me do in years. she even gave me a foot massage... oh the hospitality from the staff and service was great. We were extremely impressed that the director of the hotel came to the pier to ask us for feedback before we left and she also congratulated us on our anniversary. The French aren't so bad after all. Great place, great people.

As with any business, the staff will make or break you; and I can say the staff at the Moana was excellent - personal and professional. Every staff person we met made an effort to see that our needs were accommodated. The facility is clean, the rooms well maintained, and the food was tasty and plentiful.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I could write for an hour just about my experience in the overwater bungalow. The pictures do not do it justice, our room was fabulous! No this is not the most opulent resort on Bora Bora, but if you are looking for a peaceful experience, this is your hotel. The kindness of the staff epitomizes the Polynesian culture. Try to take in one of their shows, it is complimentary with dinner. And was very well done.

Just returned from this fabulous hotel. Had a beach bungalow (number 54). All the staff were very friendly, beach was a dream (the only natural one on the island) and just one step away from our luxious room. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bora Bora. Incidentally, there is a lot to be said for staying on the mainland...it is a lot less hassle getting around rather if you're stuck on a motu.

Good morning all

Good morning all

Here is my report for the 3 night stay in this hotel

Positive points:

We took a room on stilts. Nothing to say, spacious bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, access to the lagoon directly from our villa, presence of a coral garden near our bedroom.

Negative points :

- The Hotel not having a can of juice, we had to take two bottles of juice for which we paid 18 euros
- breakfasts: the person in charge of preparing the eggs and panckakes is not at all friendly !!
- the big black point of my negative points - the HOTEL-Airport transfer: the price of return transfers represents 95% of my bill (we ate outside the establishment). This price is not indicated on the site and an email regarding the transfer is sent well after you have made the reservation. The return price per person is 123 . Knowing that the airport is on an island and therefore we do not have much choice this price seems exorbitant to me, already taking into account the price of the rooms and taking into account the prices of other transfers of the same type offered by hotels on d 'other islands

To avoid paying more I advise you to dine outside (if you are not on half board). The bora bora beach club restaurant located a 4-minute walk from the hotel is super nice both in terms of the dishes and the prices displayed (lower than those of the hotel). In addition you will have an excellent view of the sunset

The hotel facility is out dated and cleanness is compromised compared to hotels of the similar class. Would recommend conrad bora bora way over this. The interior is so cheaply renovated and look like an old facility. Air conditioner and phone both do not work. We stayed in one of the water bungalows and it was such a disappointment.
