We had a very nice stay.Good hotel with its iown beach and marina.Breakfast had good selection.Rooms good but very dark.Could not see the bottom shelf clearly and left some clothes behind.Had to pay for return via courier as hotel would not dispatch via ordinary air mail..do not know why.!!!

A great hotel, but standard all inclusive is not worth the money

Lunch and dinner excellent. Staff very friendly and hard-working. Beach and pools very clean. Parking free.
Only 10 minutes by taxi to Marina Mall Abu Dhabi. Come again.

The hotel is not as fancy as it's dubai sister hotel, but it's perfectly ok. I stayed for business, not sure I'd go here for pleasure though

Belgian cafe is a good place to enjoy with friends.

Now here is an amazing retreat in Abu Dhabi. Very wide choice of Food and Beverage outlets with each one serving very good quality food. Is worth a visit for a weekend of relaxing. also recreation team is excellent all the lifeguards are doing good job

Great staff, great atmosphere. Arrive and feel good. The building is already older BUT once you are in, you have done everything right.

Went for the day pass to the private beach..and as always, intercontinental delivers! Polished, friendly service, fabulous amenities and an amazing private beach with 3 pools to boot! If you can afford top end hotels, this is it!!:)

One of the oldest and best hotels in Abu Dhabi. They have great food and beverage outlet options from Belgian Beer Cafe to Chamas and Cho Gao.

I was torn between giving it 3 stars or 2 stars. To be honest, I'm surprised this is still labeled as a 5-star hotel. It's immediately clear that the building is very old and not very well maintained. Several walls on the outside have peeling paint and the finishing is just not up to standards. We took a a Deluxe King Room with City View on the 7th floor. Immediately after walking into the room, two things stood out:
i) Stains on the arm chair (see attached photo)
ii) The finishing of the bathroom sink (see attached photo)
I don't care how much one pays for a room, these types of things should not happen at a 5 star hotel. We didn't have the breakfast but a couple of friends did and thought it absolutely was not worth AED 130. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and Chamas, the Brazilian restaurant is pretty good although overpriced given the quality of the food. In summary, this hotel doesn't live up to 5-star standards and we'll be visiting other hotels in Abu Dhabi going forward.

Cho Gao...the place was almost empty on a Tuesday ladies night.Music is great , food is amazing

five star hotel with little aged furniture but with very good service

My stay at InterContinental Abu Dhabi was awesome!
The employees where so friendly and competent and did everything for us :)
We also liked the facilities (pool, spa, sauna, beach, restaurants). Everything was amazing!
We really had a very good time there and are highly recommending this hotel!

Everything was so comfortable, thanks for taking extra of the cleanliness and being so helpful.

Newy and chef Surjit were very helpful and provided us with exceptional service and were great with providing us with vegetarian food. Also it is a wonderful place for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I would definitely return. 5 stars very well earned.

The facility was wonderful. The rooms were neat, and the housekeeping was excellent.
Only discomfort I felt was with the Front staff, who was not very friendly, and hardly looks at your face while talking. I have to remind the staff that Im an IHG guest. It make lot of difference, if we start the stay in a hotel with a welcoming staff. An extra inch of smile, will create a mile of joy for the customer.
However, my checking out process was handled pretty well by miss MIMI, who did her job extremely well, and we were all happy driving back to Dubai. Mr Raad, was also expert in his job while checking me in, but as I mentioned, earlier, he could have made it better.

Attended a wedding reception. There was ample parking adjoining. The function hall was well decorated. The decor though old style was five star. The bathroom s were modern, clean and as per standards expected. The food was made to a very high standard. The menu was pretty ordinary. However each dish especially the meats were cooked to perfection. A most pleasant experience..

Everything except afternoon tea was satisfactory. Abu Dhabi I went to many hotels in the hotel but the hotel was crowded with the most people.

A very nice but older hotel in Abu Dhabi. You can tell the hotel that it is a very traditional house established. Every taxi driver knows it, you do not need an address. It is well located close to the Corniche and Marina Mall. You can even reach it on foot.
The staff is very friendly and always courteous helpful. The WiFi is available everywhere, even on the beach. The TV offer is very international. The German share is quite manageable (ComedyCentral, ServusTV-A, DW-engl.) There was also no possibility to stream on TV.
But what really was not nice, is the classification at the all-inclusive. There is also a premium version for 200AED person / day. It includes free choice of drinks and meals in all hotel restaurants. Sometimes you felt like a 2nd class guest. But I suspect that this should limit the consumption of alcohol. It's okay too, you have to respect it.
In my opinion it is not worth it, because in the heat you could enjoy juices, coke, water and some mocktails at the "small all-inclusive" too. The food in the standard restaurant "Selection" was above reproach.

The hotel is located at the end of Abu Dhabi Island, near the Emirates Palace and Marina Mall. The area is quiet and there are many parking spaces for the hotel. It is easy for you to park your car in front of the hotel instead of leaving the car service to be stopped by the hotel workers.
The room I lived in, which is the normal, beautiful and comfortable, has everything you need.
The services are good, the swimming pool is excellent, and so is the gym. Overlooking a marina overlooking a number of restaurants. Lebanese, Thai, and Belgian locale.

The place was great, have a lot of restaurants and cafes for hangout in Abu Dhabi. The food was excellent

Enjoy a never ending feast of 16 different dishes of meat, if you are a meat lover chances are you heard of Chamas before, but just in case you didn't, well this should be on top of your to-do list. It's a great place to celebrate an occasion, with live music and very welcoming staff. Will definitely visit again in the future.
