Product selection, quality, and customer service are consistently lower at this location than at other locations. Often when I go through self checkout, I end up having to wait for the employee to authorize something, and they spend several minutes finishing their conversation with a co-worker before attending to me. I'm also often not able to find products that many other Ingles carry. And frozen products found here often have a ton of freezer burn, and I'm suspicious that some of the products have partially thawed and refrozen. Refridgerated products are just as bad. I once went to get a pack of shredded cheese and had to pull off and give to the stock boy three bags of moldy cheese. The employee didn't seem concerned at all, he barely responded. The only reason I ever still go to this Ingles is that it's right on my way home, but I avoid it when I can, and only buy items that aren't perishable if I do go there. My advice: go to the one farther down Leicester. It is far better in quality, selection, and service.
Love the sales and the coupon policy is great I can save some much when I combine their sale prices with coupons. The people there are always nice and friendly and willling to help in anyway!
So many grocery stores, not the best but a healthy selection of products. Many of these stores about. The main difference is the bakery and meat department. So explore them, they are ready to assist when asked.
I heard y all are the reason favillas shut down... smh
Don't be in a hurry, because they are not, double check the sales prices at the register, & heaven forbid you forget your card, they cannot scan one for you
Not my usual store but clerks were nice and helpful but bcuz of location very security oriented dont trust any customers also smokes are very limited not very much selection
Great locally owned grocery store that has everything I need.
I get all my groceries here. The selection gets better every year.
Staff is very rude and store does not have a clean feeling to it at all. In addition, I signed up for rewards card over 4 weeks ago and they still have not registered my number. When I still tried to purchase my items at the sale price and didn't care at the moment about "fuel rewards", they refused and wouldn't scan any card (there are always extras). The manger then asked another customer as they were walking out the door to come all the way back and scan their card. I'm thankful for that customer, not the manager.
What's it like when u find an oasis in the desert?? Amazing and much better than just water and palm trees ...full of surprises and lots to choose; where your preferences don't seem to work u at all harder to find either... Examples
being with or without refined sugar
I love the singles I have went here since I was young with my mother and I still go there and I know some people that work there I'm just real familiar with it know where everything is I am very happy with the singles
Great place to grab a Starbucks and do some shopping!
I like Ingles but too often their selection doesn't contain what I want. Their prices are a bit high as well.
This Ingles is decent but they always seems to be out of things and I ve had a couple times where the produce I was looking at had mold on it. Also, they aren t enforcing the masks very well, I ve seen several people without them and one person I saw sneezed on their hands and proceeded to touch everything in front of them. It may have been just the past view visits have been bad, but I m probably just going to go to a different one.
Like it's not as big as the new Ingles.Still one of the few that's not been upgraded yet. They usually have good deals as well..!
I'm told this is the original Ingles, and I have to say... it's the crappiest. Of all the local Ingles franchises I've used regularly - New Leicester Highway, Tunnel Road, Merrimon Avenue - this one is by far the smallest, oldest, and shadiest, with the worst selection (particularly of local beer). I wouldn't go there past dark.
I go to Ingles a lot and never seemed to have the trouble that these customers are talking about. However, in the evening and weekends when they have the kids come in it's totally different.
I think it is so damn rude to be talking over your head to the register next to you or the boy bagging for you.. PAY ATTENTION to the customer in front of you. Without them you would not have a job!!!!!
I switched to Harris Teeter. The customer service there is fantastic! I would compare the difference between the to stores as Ingles is like Berger and Harris Teeter is like a 4 star restaurant
They are really ride and retired to accuse me of stealing!! Can u believe that because one of the owns didn't scan like I thought it did. Why we she just not say hey that didn't scan please ring it back up and I would have instead they made me leave and wouldn't even let me pay for my stuff on top of that it was the manager so of the manager is no good then everything else is no good. I just can't believe that happened wow!!
This is one of the last remaining original Ingles that's left but don't let that stop you from visiting they keep up and pass not others must be the management, their chicken is awesome the people who run the deli are the best better than Subway I believe, try the cracked pepper turkey breast with swiss cheese on grain bread and their homemade soup THE BEST. Try it you'll love it.
Just realized some items don t count towards fuel point. If I spend the dollars I should get the points. I ll purchase my gas and groceries else where.
Highly organized and effective... Bob Ingles' legend Lives on!
Mr. Ingles will be very proud keep up the good work Ingles lower the price some I know you have to make a living too very clean and the bathrooms and the food is amazing
A wonderful store the smell alone makes you want to stay long. The best foot wear in Ashevile. Friendly and helpful employees.
Not particularly a fan of this ingles. Smaller and selection of some items is limited
oldest 8mgpes in existance since store #1 was closed.
very helpful staff
Just passing through town, it was the first grocery store we saw and it was a huge mistake. Almost all the refrigerated goods we bought were spoiled due to poor refrigeration and a couple of them even ended up being out of date which we dident realize till we reached our hotel. Avoid going here
Older store, busy location, can be hard to get in and out traffic wise.
Prices are to high however service is great and Connie was very friendly
Don't have Ingles at home, so it was nice to use a good store.
Nice staff and they have most of what you want but this place it's desperate for a remodel.
I mean, it's a grocery store. It's what you'd expect. Ingles in general has good products. This one is on the corner of two busy highways and depending on which direction you're going and what time it is, you may have difficulty getting out of the parking lot.
everyone is courteous and delightful great service and very helpful they have a great organic section and seventh generation paper products
Ingles is the go to place. They support local charities and have everything you need
The prices of food these days is outrageous and unless you have a loyalty card which I hate you have to pay the over priced regular price on products. I know for a fact that this company charges 200-400% higher than the actual cost of the product itself. I know the company needs to make money that's understandable but get rid of your loyalty card so everyone can share in the sales. Look at Publix, no loyalty card. Prices are about the same but everyone enjoys the sales without a dumb loyalty card.
If you close at 12 am
Don't have security standing at doors meeting people out but not in 10 min till .
Nice hometown feel and you don't have to walk 5 miles to cross the store.
Friendly staff...
high prices
I LOVE THIS STORE AND THE PEOPLE WORKING IN IT! There are many other Ingles nearby but this one deserves a golden star.
