Went here on a Kindergarten field trip with my son. In my opinion this is a place more for older kids. They have tons of information and a few fun things to do with a good gift shop, but a lot of it was way over the Kindergarteners heads. It definitely is a good place for a field trip but my suggestion be 5th grade and up.

Amazing place for children, they will get to see authentic equipment used for space travel. Staff was pleasant and polite, the science center had plenty of interactive exhibits. Would come back for sure!

Pass on this attraction. Not worth the price of admission. If you re expecting a space center experience, you won t find it here. Very few exhibits, most of which are inoperable. The short movies are okay though. The cafe is shut down and the gift shop looks as if it hasn t been restocked in over a year. And the bus tours that used to take you into the actual space center have been canceled completely due to budget cuts. Very disappointed.

It was a great place to take the cub scouts. I believe most young kids would enjoy a visit here.

We were able to receive classroom instruction due to our association with a group/cub scouts. There is a snack bar there if you decide to eat and stay.

I made a special trip to visit this facility today...

I made a special trip to visit this facility today and I did not have a good experience. The employee who took my money for admission was less than enthusiastic nor helpful. It was like I was forcing her to take my payment for admission. I like to be given a facility map or other information so I can make sure I see what all is there but I was not given any information. Maybe she was frazzled by the dozens and dozens of school children there. And those school children were running around to the point that I was trying to avoid having one run into me. I felt immensely out of place, like I was in a place solely meant for kids, and they were very overwhelming. I wondered around feeling lost trying to figure out what was going on beyond the kid-oriented exhibits. There were employees walking around, but they seemed disinterested in interacting with the visitors. I even overheard some older kids comment about the moon rock on display being "just a rock": a missed opportunity to educate our youth about how these special rocks can tells us more about the evolution of our solar system. After looking around the main building, I realized that the bus tour to the space center would be the most interesting for me to see, however by the time I worked through the line to sign up for the bus, I was told it was full and I would have to wait over an hour for the next one. As a solo traveler with no kids, this visit was not enjoyable. The best parts were the carnivorous plants on display and the boardwalks within the natural landscapes outside. The segment of the Saturn 5 rocket outside seemed woefully out of place like an afterthought, a pity for this amazing piece of our space history.
If you see many school buses parked out front, I wouldn't bother.

Brought my 2 kids, 8 and 5, for a day trip. The exhibits were fun to interact with, and lots were kid friendly. We decided to eat there, and it was standard fare for this type of place. The kids chicken and fries was more than enough for an adult, so use that to your advantage. The 3d theater is, well, a typical 3d experience. Nothing to write home about. At least the ocean one anyway. The outdoor area was good, with a nice boardwalk, and a small playground. My favorites were the rockets, and engines. The size of these things is amazing. All in all, it's a fun place to visit, and they we're building more exhibits so there's a reason to go back. Oh, and we had a slight accident which required a band aid; that I didn't have. Went to the desk where Ashleigh (I think I'm spelling her name wrong, sorry) went above and beyond helping make the little one feel better. Many thanks to her for that. I highly recommend making the trip.

PS. I would've added some pics, but I don't have any without my kids in them.

I'm sure this is a very educational center, however we wouldn't know. After paying $77 to enter, we tried to get on the tour tram and they informed us it was full for the day. We asked for a refund so that we could return a different day which they refused.
The tram ride is a first come, first serve event. However the sad part is we went on a weekday, not weekend. We arrived BEFORE noon, and the parking lot was maybe a 1/4 full, and they were still maxed out on getting to the space center. God only knows if they had just 1 school bus of children show up for an educational experience.
If you are a tourist visiting this area, I would personally avoid this attraction and save your money and time.

We had to stop here while on our vacation to Gulfport. My daughter who is in college studying to major in astrophysics was like a kid in a candy store. My younger son who just simply loves all things space had a great time as well. Was well worth the time and money. Thank you.

Disappointed there was no lockable family bathrooms. What do you do when the one you're with (opposite sex) has to go to the bathroom? Had to cut the visit short. Would like to come back and finish the tour but don't see how. Not very special needs friendly.

Disappointing, cost too much: Once upon a time, this was one of two museum, and the price was lower, but they apparently did away with the museum on Stennis, (which was far better then Infinity). Lots of empty space in Infinity too. We got there at 2:30pm, a Saturday, and all the trams into Stennis were sold out.

Not worth the money, understaffed, many of the activities did not work properly and some others were completely out of service. The NASA exhibit was OK but not worth the admission price. The cafeteria was terrible and the gift shop was full of junk and a bunch of NASA hats and patches. Really disappointed.

$18 admission. Plan on 2 hours. The bus tour to the test site - where you can see the stands used to test rockets- is included with the price of admission. It leaves at specific times. Immediately upon entering you need to specifically ask to get on the bus tour list. The ride is 40 minutes total: you will never get off the bus - it literally never stops. The driver narrates the whole time, explaining all the various things you see. Immediately after paying admission and receiving your bus ticket, look at the board indicating scheduled times of other things: guided rocket tour, film times ($4), etc.. If you don't do at least 3 things, you may feel it wasn't worth the $18 cost.

Basic stuff and no one is there to teach you stuff they just care about the paid exhibits. Everything is extra and there is not much to see but it was alright. I didn't see anyone cleaning and you could see handprints on a lot of things. Hand sanitizer stations were empty but they had tiny hand size bottles to buy for 5 dollars. We bought an enviro battery from the gift shop that barely worked. We worked for an hour trying to light the bulb up and it barely lit. Cheap products. Save your money and find somewhere else. The marine and mammal institute we went to was better.
