It has been living at one of their property there ...

It has been living at one of their property there for a year. The manager was helpful and somewhat responsive. However, since I moved out in July, it started to get more and more tricky. At first, they charged me 700ish usd for the carpet replacement, but it went down to 200 usd because of some refunds. When I saw the bill I know something was wrong. I asked the manager to check the bill more carefully and I was right. The manager didnt add my security deposit (400 usd) to the move out statement. She told me there was an error from the system. Somehow the system registered my security deposit as administration fee which is non refundable . She said she would work on it to give my money back. It has been 2 whole months. I tried to contact Arial every other day. She never replied the email and gave me a call back. Once she picked up the phone she told me she will send the confirmation email about the security deposit within that day. Never happened. Every call went straight to voicemail and the email never got replied.

So she got back to me on tuesday (Sept 25, 2018). After it had been going on since Aug 11th (almost two months). I need to cc you and post the review before I heard back from her. If you need more evidences. Drop me the email. I can send all the things to you. (All the emails that never got replied, I can ask Tmobile if they can give me the call log activity...).
Even the moveout statement the manager sent me on Sept 25 still had a wrong information. I needed to send the email to ask her to correct the information again.

They allow managers of their properties to violate federal laws. I moved out of Villas at Lakewood and received my final bill from them on April 1st 2020. Given that we are in a pandemic and everything is closed, including their leasing office, and the bill has no way listed to pay it simply says to just contact them , I figured I had some time to pay. Well I was WRONG. April 17th 2020 I got a letter in the mail from a debt collector stating they turned my bill over to collections. This is 16 days, or 12 business days. During a global pandemic. I did some research and tenants, under FEDERAL LAW, have 31 days to pay their bill before it can legally be turned over to collections. Now there are collections fees in my name, and it has dropped my credit score already. I brought my concerns to the manager who is EXTREMELY unprofessional and felt the need to argue back and forth with me and completely skip over the fact that they Literally violated A federal law. I would not suggest living here or anywhere managed by this company if your money, credit score, And honesty mean anything to you.

Management is ridiculous. Ive been trying 3 weeks now to get a copy of a page from my lease, and nothing. They have no problem collecting your money. As for anything you want good luck. They need to start over with all new management someone who can handle it instead of having excuses. I thought contacting the real estate company would help. I was wrong. Dont be fooled by first impressions.

Horrible property management company. Avoid their properties at all costs. They are unresponsive to tenant issues. Update: Indigo replied to my post asking me to email them with specific concerns. I have tried to contact them, no one has responded, so a detailed description of my concerns appears below:
I live at City Center in Lynnwood.
What used to be a lovely new building is now quickly becoming a dump. I have communicated my concerns with the manager here, and with the property management company, Indigo, and neither has been responsive to concerns.
The manager here, Carmen, has an answer covering City Center for every concern I have expressed to her. She says the place is not deteriorating, yet admits she doesn't have time to walk the property. For a two year old building, this place is terribly run down!
The floors & carpets are filthy, and the elevators are equally filthy on a regular basis. The manager says that the carpets are vacuumed every day, yet the hallways are, maybe, vacuumed once a month, and the lack of cleaning and care is ruining the carpets.
The manager states the lobbies are cleaned once a day, yet the 196th St lobby floor is generally a dirty, sticky mess. For instance, there was cat pee in the 196th St lobby for several days after a late night fire alarm evacuation. If the lobby was cleaned everyday, the cat pee would have been gone the next day, but it wasn't.

The pool has been closed for a month AGAIN as it was last summer. The big flower pots on 196th St have never had plants in them (just dirt and volunteer moss growing).

Both garage doors have been broken for over a month, and may be fixed in "6-8 weeks". One door is propped open while they are both broken so residents who pay $100/month to park in the dimly lit garage can get in and out, yet the open door allows unlimited access, not only to the garage but to all resident areas in the building, to anyone off the street. The controlled-access they advertise, is completely comprised by these garage door issues. When asked about the pool and controlled-access not being available to tenants here who signed a lease and are paying their rent, the manager responded to me in an email with:

"The controlled access, pool, and hot tub are all amenities. As I mentioned, those items are not included in your rent and we have the right to take them away at any time for any reason".

Your parking spot in the garage can be changed at any time also. Read the lease very carefully. When I signed, I had access to ample sized parking spots, months later I was assigned a spot big enough for a mini-cooper, maybe. I had to park blocks away for over a month until someone moved out and I was assigned a normal sized spot in the garage.

If you live here, and need something fixed, be prepared to wait a very long time. Every time the garage doors break or the pool is down, we are told there is just no way to fix it in a timely fashion. There always seems to be a part that has to be special ordered from the manufacturer, and according to management, that takes months.

Several of my neighbors have had their washing machines break down. They were instructed to use a washer in other, vacant, apartments for MONTHS, rather than the employees here repairing, or hiring someone to repair, their machines. One neighbor waited five months for his washer to be repaired. Another over three months.

The staff here is VERY small for such a large complex. Although the maintenance staff is friendly, they appear to be simply overworked and seemed more focused on making over vacant apts and are unable to keep up with cleaning/repairing the common areas and current tenant units.

The rules are often broken by residents here, and management seems ineffective at enforcing the rules. It's advertised as a non-smoking community, yet often the halls are stinking with smoke. Residents are allowed to keep doormats and plants outside their doors, even though these are against the rules & stated as fire hazards in the lease.

Love where I live. The management company really cares about the residents. Whenever I email, they respond right away. They also host events that are free so we can meet our neighbors, or just hang out.
They are not one of those big companies who are robots. You can tell the staff like what they do and who they work for.

I ve lived in some other apartments managed by other companies and don t honestly think I can go back.

This is by far the worst property management compa...

This is by far the worst property management company I've ever rented from. The employee they have on site is unprofessional and even though internal employees have complained and tenants complain, nothing is done. When you need to escalate a problem, there is no resolution. The manager of the property manager is unresponsive. If you want a frustrating living experience filled with unprofessional-ism, incorrect billing and lack of customer service, care, consideration and response. Then rent from them. If you like many other require a higher standard, look elsewhere.

I have lived in several Indigo communities over the years and the service has been nothing but spectacular. The manager, leasing folks and maintenance team members are quick to respond and treat me and my neighbors with the highest levels of respect. Prior to our current building, we lived in Belltown at Dimension, they hosted live concerts, various performance, etc. The building sold, new management took over, and the community feeling seemed to slowly fade with time. I sought out another Indigo community and now live in SLU - best decision ever.

Update: I called Indigo as they suggested in their reply. I was told Sosena would contact me. She hasn't. I asked for the name of the VP so I could write her a letter, and I was told it is against company policy to give out the name of their VP! My original review stands:
Extremely unprofessional management.
Unresponsive to renter's concerns.

I've been living at an Indigo property for almost a year now and have had a great experience. Beyond the building being clean, beautiful, and with the amenities I most want (doggy relief station, parking, cool rooftop), the highlight is absolutely the building manager, who is kind, prompt, and always on it. My pup and I love living here and we have friendly neighbors (human and dog!)

While I do not hold Indigo Real Estate responsible for theft on their properties, I do not condone the individual locations dismissive attitude about failure to notify their tenants about car damage and theft within their individual complexes.

They hire poor management that do nothing when it comes to complaints against other tenants. There is a 3-day policy that if a vehicle isn't moved for 3 days it is "being stored" which is in DIRECT VIOLATION of the rental agreement EVERYONE signs. Management has been informed and told me that if i park behind their motorcycle that they use to "Reseve their place for other vehicle" (tenants happy little note left on my vehicle after i came home after dark and it was the ONLY open space to park near my building) that I will get towed. According to management the ONLY reserved parking is either covered/garage both of which this tenant is NOT parking in. Community "Open" parking where it is a "first come first serve" parking. So this other tenant gets to "Reserve" a parking space right in front of the building EVERYDAY because they store their motorcycle right at the head of the parking space so that ONLY they can park there.

The person at compliance department don t know how to do the math and they do not return your emails or calls they love to charge you for the application fees but they think you don t deserve an explanation if they deny your application.
