Lot of things to do for the entire family. For all...

Lot of things to do for the entire family. For all ages.
Parking is a bear. The prices for admission and food are outrageous! The shows are for the Rich Only!
Deer and turkey
Expo alot of fun
First time my hubby and I ever went to a state fair, and it was awesome. There was so much to do and lots of good food. Our son rode his first rollercoaster there. He had a blast!!
Large shows are still not set up for the handicapped nor elderly. Needs more places to sit and catch your breath. Too many non-handicapped in handicapped parking. Shuttle does not run often enough. I spoke with an older lady who had waited longer than 30 min for the shuttle. When these shows are set up have an advisor assist to make it disabled friendly.
Hockey game great...no bathroom where you go can go before gates open... not so good.
It's a traditional fair grounds. I do find it to be cleaner than most. There is a few air conditioned bldg which is great on hot days. I don't necessarily fell safe back by the rides especially the later it gets. Fell like there's big bunches of kids/young adults totally up to NO GOOD... Hold your purse/bags tight... all and all Is give it A 7 out of 10...
Enjoyed the World of Wheels 2020! Beautiful vehicles and plenty vendor booths to keep you busy. Makes hours seem like minutes!
Indiana Home and Garden show was awesome. The Tiny House Village was definitely my favorite. Good food too, funnel cake was so delicious. Definitely would go back again.
What a nice fairgrounds and state fair. So many improvements in recent years. We like visiting state fairs in neighboring states, but Indiana s is certainly worth the trip for out-of-staters to visit.
I love the equipment vendors who allow/ welcome kids to climb on the equipment. That s what makes the fair fun for them.
Go early. Day 3,4,or5. This is when you can get free stuff. After that it gets expensive.
Took the family to the fair. Very very hot. But the food was awesome. Seen a free outdoor concert. Make sure to make it out. A lot of news foods to taste.
The fairgrounds is ok. It's expensive to get into ($8) and the handicap parking is far from the Coliseum. If they have the Fuel games at the same time as the Christmas show they don't have nearly enough handicapped parking as needed and you will need to walk a long way, so keep that in mind.
Don't go on band day very crowded. it was hot had to stand in lines for drinks or food go during week when kids and people are working.
Had fun on the midway with my grandson and his wife and g-grandkids! Kids had fun! Food was good!
Never miss the State Fair, every year is new and exciting.
Location of the largest Flyball tournament of the world!
The only problem we had was finding a parking space. Really appreciated the shuttle buses!
Go at least once a year to St. Fair and several select shows. Always a good time.
Never again will I visit the Fairgrounds. It is so ridiculously overpriced. When I went to the fair, it was $4 for a water bottle.
NEVER SHOULD YOU VISIT!
Don't get caught after 5pm...Great place for events but the facility is getting VERY greedy on charging for parking AND the event. Take an Uber .
SO much to see and do! Don't forget your wallet and check out the various animals free of charge after arrival. Best bargains at the Dairy Barn. During fair times of course. Super holiday light show going on right now, don't miss this one!!!
Went to Auto Swap Meet, lots of parking, but quite a walk from some places.
Saw the Hoosier Hundred, great race and great venue!
Went to boat sport and travel, and the flower and patio, and world of wheels this year. All were great!
Went to the boat show, it was amazing as always. Lots of campers to look at, good food, and lots of interesting things to look at. Be careful what you sign up for, as always you'll get 500 emails and phone calls. But it was a lot of fun we always enjoy going down there every year.
Hats off to the police and others directing traffic!
Really easy overall to get around in my manual wheelchair.
I either missed the retailers that sell hats, western wear, and those types of things. Or, they didn't have them.
Used the fair app, and it only showed 2 vendor areas, one the permanent store, and the other a few toy sellers.
Idea for the app: Since all devices use GPS why not ahow my location on the map. YOU ARE HERE.
Use the Google map feature for walking. And, pow your app became ever so more usefull.
Because, the buildings are not as easy to figure out if you are not used to them.
Here is a neat idea to work into the app:
Let users do FB live from the app thus adding content to the fair website. Have us agree to let you use any video made through text fair app. Presto you have a reason to use the app for more than just a map.
A map overlay would be wicked showing your location.
Make it s you can set way points to reach the exact spot you want. Spot being a activity, building, or handicap friendly restriom.
OK, now back to the fair.
Not sure how it could work but on the map I saw a lot of what I think was unused space. Why not expand into those spots also. Placing interesting activities, maybe rides, fairway games, and vendors of many types.
If that space is used for say vehicles for the fair to happen.... Whoops.
Loved the big letters spelling FA R and NDY those are super awesome and simple. But, so much fun.
Ideas: Put words around all over spelling some silly things also... Put Indy Car models around for photo ops. Maybe a few police vehicle models, fire truck, and other simple photo op models.
Love the huge tractor people movers. Fun watching people being rolled around.
Great food! Awesome fair persnel.
This might be put of your control due to scheduling.
Have you given thought to having the fair in July? The last 17 days say.
I only say this because kids go to school as the fair starts. I would like to think you would get a lot more people that way.
Love going to the fair.
Attended the Mecum Auto auction on a Thursday. 2nd year in a row for me. Getting to see close up the variety of 50 & 60's alone was well worth the price of admission
Enjoyed the Bike Ride to Fair Day. The Best State Fair with lots of different things that are very helpful and give you in depth information. I enjoyed the Glass Barn, the Machinery area, Events in the Coliseum and Always All the wonderful State Fair Food. The Sky Ride was a great treat (new this year).
Recommend that everyone go see the beautiful displays & flowers!
Expensive, need better organization and cleaning staff
This place had me in line for 2 and half hours just to tell us there was another 90 minute wait... we left without see the light show... what a disappointment for the 6 kids in the car....
It was so much fun I took my 6 month old 13 and 17 year old and we all had a great time
Been to the state fair grounds for 35 years (my whole life) the most recent was the 4 wheel jamboree. I go for many events and always enjoy myself! The state fair are always fun, the car shows and 4 wheel jamborees are always exceptional as well! Plan on returning for many more years for multiple events. I jist wish the 4 wheel jamboree was like it USED to be, everyone could walk through the.pits to get close up looks at the trucks and drags. Used to be able to cut through the infield from both sides, why did they stop the jeep rock crawl? Used to have more monster trucks too! The events used to go almost back to back closer together. Still a great show. Also been to concerts in the colosseum. Always plenty to do out here, even dog shows and roller derbies!
The fair hasnt changed much other than getting a lot more expensive making it hard for families to really enjoy
first time we ever visited the fair and we went on $2.00 Tuesday great time loved it can wait till next year
Be sure to stop by Chevy & Buick/GMC during the Home & Garden Show to enter to win! Everyone that enters, gets a free gift.
There are always so many great events going on here throughout the year. It's mostly known for the state fair but check out their website for all the other events. A couple of the don't miss events are: Mega pet adoption, Holiday mart, and Christmas gift and hobby show.
The state fair is delicious. If you become a member in a couple months they'll send you ticket options $5 each.
We had a great time setting up our show at the fairgrounds. Easy to navigate and get equipment in and out.
Nothing beats the annual visit to the Indiana State Fair
Pay attention to the overall calendar, as parking is a nightmare on multi event days.
I go every year and look at the boats and RVs and motor cycles they have lots more to check out. I always buy there jerky they have lots of different stuff to buy.
Went for state fair, even two dollar Tuesday felt ripped off.
Nice and clean but have to pay for everything! Would be better if nursing station was near kids areas.
waited for 3-4 hours and everytime we thought we were there was a not yet... they should have limited tickets so the way everyone can be happy to see them and not annoyed
Huge fair!! It was great, they had everything. Only complaint are the rude people at Farmers Insurance that were holding the door shut yelling at people that the bathroom was on the side of the building....they could've just written it on a sign and taped it in the door. Super rude, but the fair itself was fun. Expensive though.
The fair is absolutely NOT prepared to handle parking. Design a better system!!! Should not take an hour just to get in to park!!
Had a blast amazing people staff working it extremely polite and helpful
Fairgrounds is nice, very disappointed with 2018 fair, not much there.
Parking lots and sections are very poorly marked..can't find lot from street
