The wait was absolutely horrible. There has to be a more faster efficient way to get the cars in and through the light show. We weren t prepared for the 4 hours we had to sit in the car. For anyone with small children I suggest you go on a weekday.

Over priced, admission was $13. Im not understanding why you pay so much just to go in and spend more money. There's no way you can go in here and not spend a dollar. But, I love the food so im complaining after the fact lol.

I love going to the State Fair! Great food, fun rides, and even a water ride when it gets too hot. The designated "smoking areas" need to be marked better tho since they don't want ppl to walk around the fairgrounds smoking. Other than that we had a GREAT time!!!

At the state fair in August, in recent years there has been a successful change for the better - it's being kept clean now! All day! No more mixed odors of sugar and vomit and hot dogs. It's wonderful to go to now. I especially like chilling out and listening to the Inka Pirka band and this one stand that home-makes their pretzel dough. But its nothing like those hard ones. These are yeasty and nearly melt in your mouth! Also love the Orange Dream and Pina Colada place (it's a large strawberry). As I am getting older, I realize they don't have enough places to sit, especially on the left and right of the grounds. Last year I was disappointed how few fan and water cooling stations there were.

However their parking fees have soared in the last several years going from $2 all the way to $8 now. Makes me have to think twice now about going to any shows there. Because then I have to pay admission as well to whatever show I am going to. I love the rock and gem show in the AG bldg. bi-annually. But the cost of parking on not so great lots makes me have to decide how badly I want to go.

Came here for the state fair. My kids, 9yrs and 11yrs old, had a blast. We would have liked the wristband to include admission to the skyway ride though. This cost an extra $20 for a round-trip ride for two people.

I had a wonderful time at the state fair it was really a blast. Things geta bit pricey but good time overall. Parking was also chaotic but once you found a spot and walked the journey to the fairgrounds then the good times begin. Just make sure you bring plenty money.

What a nice fairgrounds and state fair. So many improvements in recent years. We like visiting state fairs in neighboring states, but Indiana s is certainly worth the trip for out-of-staters to visit.

I love the equipment vendors who allow/ welcome kids to climb on the equipment. That s what makes the fair fun for them.

As always, great experience to come here and hang out during the fair time. Lots of things to see and do, and of course all the food! I've been to a wedding reception here as well and the amenities are good and facilities are in good condition. If you're in Indy and it's August, make sure to stop by for the fair!

Parking was horrible people taking up 2 parking spaces in handycaped and regular parking. At 8 dollars for parking and 10 dollars to get in you should be able to reasonably park. The train show was awesome

The Fairgrounds are a spectacular place to spend a day ( or a few days if you are showing a product or animals). they have loads of activities like looking at swine, horses, and goats, The 4H exhibit, lodes of Poke Stops and the carnival that is hoasted every year! it ma be long, but transportation is easy and fun with a trolley that only costs $1 to ride a round trip! if you are interested, you can watch the Showings for swine, goats, and horses, each in a roofed biulding, so the weather is not an issue! I showbevery year, and every year is great! i highly recommend you come and spend a day or two!
