Wonderful experience for not only children but adults as well!
Wonderful experience for not only children but adults as well!
Lots of fun for kids of all ages. my kid loved the foam bricks best. They have all gender/ family restrooms on both floors.
Great place to take school groups. Educational& entertaining!!!!
Great hands on children's museum! Makes kids love (and understand) science. Nice area surrounded by many restaurants within a short driving distance.
Great place for the kids as well as the adults! Lots of hands on stuff and experiments to try. Fun for the whole family.
Awesome place for kids to get hands on learning. It's so much fun that they don't even know they're learning!
My children loved their visit to this museum! They enjoyed the different areas and the types of learning they got to experience. We will be back again soon!
Great place for kids to learn while having fun. Very busy place.
Always a great time for the kids (and grandparents)
Geared toward small children. Stuffy upstairs, small water room, seems grimy. Staff is super friendly and nice.
this was my favorit place to go when i was a kid. i like to go there even nowwith my kids.
My kids love it here. I'm not one for science but my daughter is
Wide variety of exhibits and activities to engage all ages could occupy the entire family all day. Staff is virtually always available and helpful. Parking can be difficult because of limited space in lots.
They had more stuff there when I went there as a kid...
Absolutely loved it. Glad it is part of the Passport event.
My kids had such a blast when we went and we are planning on going back very soon!!!
We are members great place to take the kids hands-on and they will learn a lot. New water exhibit just opened pictures included.
Awesome place for kids. Visited from the Detroit area and it was well worth the drive.
Super friendly! Large with a ton to do with our kids ! Very cool!
The very best children's science center we've ever been to! We live 2 hours away. We went because we were visiting family in Lansing for the weekend. I would definitely drive just for this place! We spent 5 hours there with my 3 yr old son and 6 year old nephew, and we still didn't even see 1/2 of the place!
So so so many things to try out, touch, experience. Friendly staff. Super clean and we'll kept building.
I was very impressed!
If you are visiting the Lansing area with children, put i5 on your list of MUST see places to experience. If you live in the area, grab a membership, your child will never get bored of visiting. It is a wonderfully creative place full of both fun and educational hands on experiences. It's a place to make memories with the your family.
We were here to attend a birthday party. Lots of fun activity's for children to get into. The venue was clean and pretty easy to navigate. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Endless fun for children and adults alike with a very reasonable pricetag. My daughter's had a blast for 3 hours straight and we barely scratched the surface of the available activities.
Interesting place for kids. Could use some TLC. Alot of things need attention/ maintenance.
What is there left to say about Impression 5? Best hands-on kids experience in the area. Science, art, nature, crafts, water play, and much, much more. Educational, fun, active, positive play for kids (and adults!) We also highly recommend the store in the lower level, always full of awesome gifts and educational toys.
Fun, education time for a 2+ year old. They do have things for even younger kids, but they really have to be at least 2 to really enjoy it. There is not many places to bring a toddler, and so this needs to be on your list of things to try.
A wonderful addition to the community. Membership is by far the way to go as it pays for itself in just a couple of visits. Something for kids aged toddler through upper elementary. Their new water exhibit is amazing.
Even more fun than I remember from 30 years ago when I was a kid! Our 2 and 4 year old loved it. Plenty of things for the little kids to do.
Great hands on activities for kids talons Great hands on activities for kids Challenging their minds.
As a former employee and visitor this place is a good place to take kids up to the age of 12
This is my favorite children's museum in the state!
Always have an amazing and wonderful time. My son (3 Years) had such a blast at Impression 5. Will definitely be coming back.
My kids, 2, 6, & 9 had so much fun here. The hands on approach really engaged the kids.
Great interaction learning for kids and adults of all ages. Special room just for toddlers. Monthly exhibit changes
Great hands-on science museum for kids. It's small, but manages to stuff a bunch of exhibits into that space. Very enjoyable for a wide range of ages.
This was a great experience for my whole family. They have a fantastic amount of hands-on science that is thoughtfully planned with explanations throughout. Our kids loved it and a couple of hours disappeared quite quickly. Staff was great as well!
We loved it! So many different activities for all ages. Loved Physics and Astronomy day today with students from MSU. They were so patient with kids.
Wonderful museum. Improvements are constantly being made. My daughter and I have been member for a very long time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Recommend to anyone with children.
Tons of activities with lots of floor space so it didn't feel crowded. Great variety of activities for older kids and toddlers!
Such a fun place to explore and play with an almost overwhelming number of things to do and see. Good for kids of all ages.
We love it here! All hands on activities that teach but keep kids active. Water tables and area as well as building. Gift shop has hands on toys and educational things to buy and take home.
The 2nd floor was to warm. Other than that it was a good experience
Very awesome place! Easily enjoyable for the whole family.
My kids love this place as much as I did when I was kid. I'm so glad that it's still open. Great Job
Great spot to take a child. My daughter likes the nature and water exhibits quite a bit, and the dark room with the "stick' shadow is a lot of fun, too. It's a place where adults can join in the play, or just grab a book and lets the kids do their own thing. Train lovers will enjoy the huge model train exhibit in the basement.
Great, hands on museum! Something for every age, even adults!
The activities are so much fun, the staff is great, and the party rooms are awesome! Great place to have a kid's Birthday party!
Awesome place! Something for everyone here from babies to adults! Definitely a must see.
Could have been better. TLC needed on quite a few activities. Management responded quickly to my complaints. Thank you.
Good place to take the kids when you can't be outside
Great place for kids to learn and have fun. They have changed so much from the last time I was there, but the kids have so much fun. From bubbles to a dark room, kids are sure to have fun.
Somewhat hot upstairs but they have fans going to help keep it cool and specific rooms with A/C. Clean place and fun for the kids!
Amazing opportunities for kids of all ages, including adult-aged kids! A variety of games and activities expose kids to science in a fun way with a range of learning methods. Tremendously impressed and quite happy we purchased a membership.
There's a lot of activities for the children, my 6 year old daughter loves the place.
This place was EXCELLENT!!! It was many many many fun things to do inside. The Water Tornado was the best part! Best place to take the kids!
So fun with my 7yo son and 19yo neice! Lots to do!
As an engineer as well as a kid at heart, I loved my visit to this place. I think my almost-seven-year-old son did too, lol. They have a rotating display, which was dinosaurs when I was there. It wasn't a huge display, but I got to touch a real Tyrannosaurus Rex thigh fossil! Like they put it there specifically so you could touch it. How cool is that?!
The permenant exhibits were interactive and interesting too. The standard Lego table and bubble area, but also they had some light painting, a really fun water area, a Giant light-bright and several chairs-on-a-block-and-tackle (which I'm still trying to explain to my son) so you could use different amounts of force to lift yourself. Fish tanks and bird feeder Webcams and pneumatic ball launchers and paper airplane launchers. Yeah, this place was the best kid-hands-on-musuem I've been to, I mean I've take my son to, yet.
Overall it seemed well maintained and clean, though a couple items from the exhibits were beaten up (understandable). All the staff we met we friendly, even the ones cleaning up after the wee little kids. Really I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to instill a little wonder and a little science into their kids in a hands-on, engaging, fun way.
Great fun. Great staff. Science is everywhere!
Impression 5 has lots of age appropriate and restricted areas that make parents alot more comfortable with their child's safety. Even to the point of removing shoes in 4yr old and younger areas.
Kids loved the dinosaurs! Bubbles and huge blocks are always a hit.
I like that they offer a toddler area.
For a hands on place I wish I saw more sanitizer or staff using Lysol.
Wonderful place to take the kids and reasonably priced
They have made some updates and improvements since. Fun for whole family. Dinosaur exhibit was cool.
Science and wonder done right - a great place for kids and adults of all ages. We've been members for years and our kids never tire of going here. Make sure to look at the calendar of events and seasonal travelling shows - we're really lucky to have something like this in Lansing!
My two daughters (3 and 5) absolutely love this place. It's fund and educational which is a rare occurrence now a days.
So much fun only bad thing is you can't do everything in one day
Great place for kids. Fun and educational. The under-4 room is really fun, and the water room is super cool. Bring a change of clothes, though. That's the price of super cool...
it doesnt have much competition in the area and the kids love it so your learn to as well.
It was not very fun, the things were all broken or under maintenance, the service they had was very poor and slow
Always a great time for our kids and is usually cleaner than you expect with littles everywhere!
Super awesome place, the kids love the water play area and the new dinosaur exhibit. So much to do for everyone!
Wonderful place to bring the study of science into your child's life. My 4 yr old grandson loves coming and tries different things each time. Such a variety. A family membership is a great price and can be given as a holiday gift . There's a 4 and under playroom that had so many different activities. Many things for older children are also doable by the younger kids. Special events come to the museum for a few weeks. It's Clifford the dog now. There's also classes that are age appropriate but cost extra (reasonably priced). I would rank a 5 if there was a turnover of new activities a little more often especially for those of preschool age. Also a better vending area with some nutritional snacks. Great place and usually spend 3 hours there at least.
