Good place to take your inner kid to play. Or a real kid. Exhibits rotate regularly. Very hands on and good for a variety of ages, from toddler to early teen.

An expanded version of the Ann Arbor hands on museum.
Excellent value and large facility to keep kids occupied for hours
Admission to Impression 5 isn't cheap but we were able to spend a couple of hours playing with friends and experimenting, so overall it was worth the cost. It was VERY BUSY, and there was not a lot of staff walking around helping to keep kids under control, so at times it was a little overwhelming for my 6yo.
Terrific hands-on science museum that's as fun as it is educational. Has a lot to offer kids of all ages, including toddlers, and is entertaining for adults as well. I'm really glad that Lansing has a museum like this.
Impression 5 is always a great time for my littles. They love all the hands on play and can easily spend hours here
Very interactive, informative, and fun for both kids and adults. Pretty decent gift shop but it's enough to keep the kids busy...5 Stars because the staff were nice and we liked out visit here.
Great experience and it was awesome for kids of any age. Highly recommend!
Great kids exhibits and traveling exhibits. Prepare to spend the whole day there. I didn't expect such a big place with so many different spaces. Wish we lived closer.
One great way to get your children to think about science!
Loved it as a child, love that my children love it now
Gr8 family atmosphere and wonderful employees that went out of their way to help! The new flow water exhibit was hands down worth going for alone!!!
Great hands-on science game learning place for kids.
Not a 4 hotel yet clean & close to other restaurants besides the hotel lounge. Plus close to a Meijer, movie theaters, Sams, & highway 96 E&W access. Can handle/cater small to large groups w/adequate A/C.
Great local kids museum. They recently updated. Looks great and was fun.
Its a great place for kids aged 1 to 12. There are volunteers to help with if you don't know ssomethings.
Awesome experience for kids of all ages! Learn something new every time you go, everywhere you look.
We've had a membership for 3 years and we go at least twice a month. My daughter is 3 years old and every visit is an adventure, whether just hanging out in the first impression room, playing with bubbles, or launching various projectiles.
Really fun place to take the kids. There are a ton of different activities for the kids and I found myself having fun with the exhibits too! Fun for all ages.
This place is the best fun experience for families. The room for really little kids is like an indoor playground. the exhibits are rotated to keep it fresh! Our family loves going here.
Always a great place to take my two grandsons who are under four. They love the water play area and the many other fun places for them to play. Plenty to amuse adults as well. Just a great place.
My 4 yr old niece and 13 year old daughter had a great time together.
The best children's museum I've been to. They keep things fresh with plenty to investigate for a wide age range.
Great place for family fun! Very educational activities
Great for kids, and even toddlers to play. I wish it was cheaper. I ended up buying a membership and now I go a couple times a month.
Great for the whole family... Lot to do from babies to teens.
Great place for kids to play with stuff and for parents to tell themselves their kids are learning something.
A wonderful museum for children. The hall with visualization of acceleration, collision and decay of particles was especially remembered. Everything is very clear, you can touch everything and try to accelerate the particles yourself.
It was ok for kids but was very hot and they were trying to cool the place with a fan
Awesome place. Would reccomend getting a membership.
It was a nice experience for my kids. I had a decent time as well, but for the price (not much but enough) there wasn't any AC upstairs where 95% of the activities are. Please fix.
Lots of empty space. Very hands on. Kid friendly including special needs. Friendly staff.
Absolutely WONDERFUL hands-on science museum that's perfect for kids! So much to touch and see and do, it's a great place to bring your kids to play and learn. My mom took me there as a kid and 25 yrs later, my kids loved it as well
Great place to spend the day even a little fun for parents too.
Took my son here for a birthday party, he enjoyed it. It has changed a lot since I was a kid (I was going here 30 years ago or so) but some things remain, the giant mouth / teeth thing, the light room, the bubbles. I don't remember the infant room from back then, but it could have been there. It had some blocks and a few other things, didn't see because my son went straight to the water toys. He had a blast splashing around. Then we went to a magnet lesson, it was ok. The current rotating exhibit appeared to be dinoasaurs, just saw it in passing. The membership is likely worth it, figuring on 2 parents 1 kid it basically pays for itself after 3 visits (figured using base membership cost, membership is yearly). Nuff said.
We've taken our granddaughters here many times and always have hours of great fun and joy. Be careful around the bubble room, it's often slippery.
Good spot to spark your children's imagination. Friendly staff
A fantastic place to take young, energetic children.
I was there for a birthday party. We did a group class on making slime. It was fun. Too much to see in a few hours. Love this place. Learning even as an adult.
So many hands on science related things for children to do!
Hands down one of our favorite places in the Lansing area. Everything is done well.
This center has fun that everyone in the family can enjoy, from babies to grandparents. It has hands on activities that everyone can explore together and there is something to learn everytime you go. It is worth the annual passes for sure.
So glad we made the stop at impression 5! There is so much to do here for kids of all ages and abilities. We had some problems with under supervised children, but it was very easy to redirect my special needs son (5) and my younger son (3) to a new activity with so much being offered there. They also had a wonderful free demonstration with Smores that the kiddos absolutely loved. We will definitely be back!
So many things to learn... really allows kids to explore and have fun
Great for kids 2+ that want to learn about science. Brings back memories from when I went there as a kid. Very fun and interactive
Always a fun time with the kids, lots of activities!
The last time I went was a few years ago and I took the summer school class I was teaching on a field trip. Impression 5 is an interactive science museum and caters to the young and old, with all kinds of exhibits like "How does it feel to be blind", or the giant bubble room where you can blow big bubbles. It's a great way to kill off a couple of hours on a Saturday or to amaze your nieces and nephews with something cool and educational at the same time. Even my jaded high school students got a kick out of Impression 5.
Great hands on science museum, very interactive for kids
This children's science center is one of the best in Michigan, and seems to always be improving the experience.
What a wonderful experience and facility. Fabulous staff. Fortunate to have such a cool facility in our community.
I really loved this. I want to come back with out the kids. Our crew had a great time. Too much fun. Go there. It will not disappoint.
Great place for a field trip! Kids loved it, and I had fun, too.
This place is amazing! My 6 year old grandson's birthday party was held here, & he & all his friends had a great time. I enjoyed it immensely. The model train display was AWESOME!
It was a lot of fun taking my niece, but I would say the age for enjoyment here tops out at 13-14
Lot's of hands on science exhibits. Great for kids.
A lot of fun things for all aged kids. Parkings not the best.
This is always a fun place. Took my son here many years ago. Now I'm taking my grandson here. He had a blast this first time.
A great place for kids. Lots of fun in a variety of ways. They also host really great summer camps.
