We have been to many children museums, this one by far is the best one around. It is a dual level facility that has everything from a big water table room, a bubble area, a pulley/hydraulics area, a local ecosystem area and so much more. They also have an interchangeable area that gets switched out every couple of months, we have been there for the dinosaur and train exhibit. We bought a membership, and don't mind driving a ways to come to this cool place.

I love bringing my son here, The water area is my son's absolute favorite place when we are visiting. Staff is very knowledgeable and make things less stressul and more fun for the children!
My family of 5 (2 - 41 years old) had a great time. There was something for everyone to do. The baby/toddler room upstairs is air conditioned. There is also a place to eat, with a couple vending machines. The bathrooms were very clean and the have toddler size toilets!
We took our 6 year old niece here. It was well maintained and had so many cool things to do and learn. Definitely don't miss the water room and the light room but very seriously this is a really awesome place with lots to do. We plan to get a membership next time we go so we can tak the nieces again and again. Highly recommend!!
Place keeps getting better! There were a few "big" kids in the toddler area the past few times we were there, not sure if that's a negative for the company ore the parents of those kids, though...
Fantastic experience for a family with kids of all ages. There is a room just for infants that is amazing. There is a huge water play tub with all sorts of awesome activities to do. They also have really nice bibs for the kids to borrow so you stay somewhat dry. Buy a membership if you have kids.
We have a pass here and used it soooooo many times this summer. This place is always just so much fun for my 2.5 year old. She loved it to death. Tons of activities for all ages.
This is our favorite place to visit when it is either too hot or freezing cold outside. They regularly change their lobby exhibit, so there always seems to be something new to explore. Clean and well maintained hands on exhibits that are excellent for kids of all ages. Can easily spend a couple of hours here.
We love coming here. They honor reciprocal membership at many other ASTC museums. We usually come out there every month or two. The kids absolutely love it. We will buy some things from the store to support usually once a year since they are so good about honoring the travel passport through other museums.
This place has tons of hands on things to experience in an open area! So much fun and bigger than I had expected! Can totally accommodate larger groups.
We have a membership there and I love it! The exhibits are so fun and there's something for kids of all ages. My favorite current exhibit is the light one. My son loves the bubbles!
The new water area is completely captivating. Bring some extra clothes as you're going to get wet. Although ponchos are provided as well as dryer areas
A great staple for Lansing! I went here as a child, and now take my own kids there. I love that they change out exhibits every so often, keeps things interesting. A great way to spend an afternoon as a family!
Always have a great time here. The dinosaur exhibit was really cool to see. This museum has fun stuff to see and do and it feels great to be able to do things with my kids and know they are learning a lot at the same time! We come here nearly every month, especially during the winter time and it's still exciting for both kids and parents.
We had a very fun time here! Spent an afternoon with our kids exploring and playing! Lots to do and see. Our little ones liked the play area just for tots!
A great place for all ages! There is an infant/toddler/preschool room just for the littles, and includes a water room with a separation gate. The older kids (and adults) enjoy hands-on building blocks, giant magna-tiles, problem solving building a trestle bridge, pretend play with a "working" grocery store, and practical physics lessons with the "throwing things" exhibits. There is a bubble room, a natural science area, a dark room where light is explored, and a water room with lots to do! There's an area to eat if you bring a lunch, kid-friendly (and kid-sized) and family-friendly bathrooms, a nursing room, a gift shop with lots of great gift ideas, a small snack area where you can purchase water bottles, light snacks, and (Keurig) coffee, as well as a coat room to hang your stuff. There's an upstairs, but an elevator provides access. A couple of things - it gets warm in the summer, so plan on that. Also parking can be tight, so you may need to walk a bit if there are no spaces. If you plan on attending more than once or twice a year, the membership is the way to go. It pays for itself within a few visits, depending on your family size. Plus you get free and discounted entrance to parks all across the country. Plan on spending a few hours to half a day here. There's plenty to do, depending on your interests!
This Museum takes the definition of a children's museum to a whole new level. The experiences are fun for the whole family and any age. Always something new to experience at impression 5.
Lots of fun. Different areas to stimulate children's minds. Restrooms were very clean, and we were there with a bunch of elementary kids plus a lot of other schools were there at the same time. Too much to see and do in only a couple of hours, would love to come back with our kids and spend the day. The lunch/eating area is a nice touch.
We came from out of state to visit some family. Our grandparents brought us and our kids and they had an absolute blast! There is so much room for the kids to explore and have space to learn at the same time. The activities are things that let kids get their hands and brains moving. It's 100% the time and money!
This is a very good place to bring the kids to have a great hands on experience in science and have fun doing it. They have 2 floors of exhibits and hands on fun! I brought my kids here, and now I'm bringing my grand kids! To tell the truth, I kinda have fun in most of the exhibits myself. A fun yet learning experience that doesn't break the bank! I encourage you to give the place a try.
Great place to take the kids and would love to give it five stars but the parking holds this place back. Had to walk a few blocks in the rain to get to the building since the lot was full. Was a challenge with 3 kids under 8.
If you haven't been here since you were a kid you're missing out. They've made a lot of changes over the last few years and it's more fun and accessible than ever.
