Kind of annoying how you have to pay over a dollar extra just for guacamole but the food was pretty good. If you don't like noisy places then this one ins't for you, but nice place to eat on Pearl St.

This was my first time here, but I loved it. Would be even better in summer when it's not so cold.

Illegal Pete's is a go to for me when I'm downtown. Sometimes the line is long around lunch time, but they shuttle people through quickly, and it's worth it. All of their food is great and competitively priced. My favorite is their famous fish tacos as a burrito instead.

There is no seating indoors, due to COVID restrictions, but this means you should bring a light jacket if you plan on eating here for dinner or on a cold day. Which I would recommend because the food is always delicious.

It's like Chipotle and Qdoba, but better! Illegal Pete's is a great spot to grab a quick and tasty lunch. I also really like that they have fish as a meat option. I go here regularly and would recommend it to anyone that thinks Chipotle has good food.

Fast and friendly, as are all of the Illegal Pete's llocations. While it is relatively small compared to their newer constructions in Denver, it's nice to have another great breakfast burrito right on Pearl Street.

SO GOOD! This place stuck out to us last time we were on Pearl Street Mall, and it was a godsend. It's hard to find reasonably priced and good food in Boulder, but this place has nailed it! I absolutely loved the fish tacos that I got; they were practically transcendant they were so amazing. The proces were very reasonable, and their iced tea selection was amazing and fufilled all of my tea-loving wants. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Boulder, and they have a great patio. Come here for sure!

Saw not one but two employees late last night be rude to a customer who may have possibly been special needs, or at least had a hearing and speech impairment. I was so appalled. The burrito was not up to usual illegal Pete s quality either. I will not be coming to this location again

Visiting for CA where Mexican food is king. Stopped by Illegal Pete's and I'm pretty sure I'm moving to Boulder now. Everything I love under one roof. Amazing food, amazing local craft beers, and hockey on every tv. I'm in love.

I had a little business on the same block for years. The food has always been consistently satisfying and reasonably priced although the food-handling by the prep people can be a bit unnerving. Service always feels like they think they are the soup guy from Seinfeld, but they just come across as cold and indifferent. The restrooms are always about as scary as they get. (Maybe all these details are ones that don't matter much to the younger patrons)

This is my favorite bar in Boulder. They're hospitable, non pretentious, and down to earth. They have a great late happy hour which, as an industry worker, is amazing. They're staff is on point and the food, as always, is amazing.

The food was good. However, I had to give only 2 stars due to the online ordering service that they provide.
My husband placed a simple online order for fish tacos, a burrito, and chips and queso. He was given an email confirmation with a pick up time of 1:58pm
When I arrived at 2pm to pick up the food, they hadn't even started making it...
I waited an additional 30 minutes while they prepped our order. I would have just left, but my husband already paid for the order online. I wasn't offered an apology or even a discount for the unnecessary wait.
If you're going to offer an online ordering service and provide the customer(s) with a set timeframe for when the food will be ready, then don't wait for the customer to arrive at the given timeframe to start preparing the order.
And, on a side note - your boxed chips and queso is ridiculously oversized. That thing was so damn awkward getting it across Pearl Street, up the stairs of the parking garage, and then trying to get it in the car. Better packaging is needed for something as simple as chips and queso.

Breakfast burritos for my crew. Pete's opened a little late, and their online order situation failed me, but they came up with seven delicious tiny burros that made us all very happy, in very short order!!! Love it!!!
