IIT, Kharagpur has 21 Halls of Residences (16 for boys, 5 for girls) around campus which can accommodate around more than 12000 students.

All the hostels have amenities like reading room, indoor sports, mess, TV etc. Students can have an option to choose between single and double sharing rooms.

Amazing campus... visited here for Spring Fest 2k17

I came here last month for their fest to participate in an aeromodelling competition. The whole campus is really huge and the best part is most of the people here use bicycles. There are a couple of food joints here. The accomodation for participants really sucked,but the hostel is good. Overall it's great and there's no doubt about the fact that this is truly one of the finest technical institute in India.

My experience was amazing there because I went there on the time of there annual techfest namely KSITIJ 2019. It was the best techfest I have ever seen. All the students of different iits and other engineering colleges came together and the iit Kharagpur is so big that we have to take a toto to go from one building to another. One of the best life time experience to go there.

Kharagpur IIT is educationally very advanced and the University environment is very beautiful beauty-father......

The first IIT of india established in 1951 stretched in 2100 acres of landmass. When we meet the campus it was well decorated with lights . There may be some festival. Cool campuses with lot of greenery.

The best part of my years at IIT kgp is lot of freedom in the lab with excellent computing facility way back in early 90s. BEST professors and they have guided me through out my career. I enjoyed reading lots of book and walking in pather panchali..I cycled to discover the beauty of rural bengal...IIT Kharagpur is World Class Institute and the Best innovators and start-up eco system it produces. Internationally, Kgpians are the Best!

kharagpur is one of the greatest IIT college in India. This institute created many famous iit'ns in India. This is a great institute. Who is lucky that's find an opportunity to study here. I want to here's students best of luck find a great achievement.

The long hour classes and laboratory session keep the students busy throughout the day.

The Halls (hostels) of IIT Kharagpur are well equipped with all the modern amenities and each Hall has its separate administration to look after.

campus is very big,and the environment is good also,they have so many types of trees in the road area, campus area,they have a tata play ground (a huge one),they also have waste recycling process and also tea garden.the field for agriculture area is also big

My Life turned awesome after coming here both academically and extra-academically ....I am a huge fan of sports and this college provides me that platform to play even at night ( :P we have flood lights ).There are a lot more things to say ...First of all the vast college ,diverse set of friends ,very fast dc and internet and the list goes on to say ............................I LOVE U KGP :) :) :)

At first day I rented a cycle in the campus (techno park)
We had accomodation in BRH Hostel and it has a canteen in upstairs that was really Gud with cheap rates go for it
CCD is the best place to spend ofcourse that was very cheap too when compared to regular CCD s
Heritage hotel inside the campus is good but little pricy
PFC in the campus is good for its biriyani
Bombay cineplex in Kharagpur usually show Telugu and trending movies
There is no particular rules inside the campus
We can cigarettes and pan inside the campus very easily

kharagpur iit is the best place for its own beauty.there are big gardens,swimming pools.in the iit the air is so refreshing.it is a amazing place to visit.

A standard and awesome engineering college with superb infrastructure and good faculty.

My feeling for this institute can't reduce to a single word or line but I can make a try ' IT'S AMAZING'.
It's a great place for those guys who want to learn and don't have fear of facing difficulties.
