Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Review

A very convenient hotel in the city centre with affordable rate. The room is small but it's all you need for a short stay, be it for holiday or work.

Just checked in today morning, was certainly impressed by the reception! Will let you know as the days go by

Good hotel with strategic area surrond by alot of food stalls

We used this hotel for the last night before returning to Japan.
It is a convenient location to go anywhere, 6 minutes walk from Bugis MRT DownTownLine and EastWestLine and 4 minutes walk from DownTownLine Rochor station.
There is also an Albert Center Food Court nearby and it is open early in the morning so you don't have to worry about eating.
The room we stayed at the Accor group hotel this time was a double room, but it is not very large but it is large enough to stay overnight.
I thought that many guests were Westerners.
There are the minimum necessary facilities, but the TV is quite small compared to modern hotels, about 20 inches? The toilet and shower booth are also the minimum necessary facilities and there is no sense of quality.
The facilities are not new, but they are neatly cleaned and the amenities are minimal.
It's a reasonably cheap hotel in Singapore, so it's recommended for people who just want to walk around for short-term stays or sightseeing during the day, and just go back to sleep at night.
There is also a 7-Eleven in the immediate vicinity, so there is no problem in procuring beer, drinks and a little daily necessities.
I was surprised to find a frozen salmon vending machine across the road in front of the hotel.

Ibis Bencoolen is a decent and clean no frills hotel, it is also suited to the business travellers is located very strategically and accessible to shopping centers and MRT stations which all is within walking distance.

Value for money. The handy phone with free data and voice is the steal. Lot of eateries near by. Public transport to all popular destination is available and easily accessible. Room size is small only for a small family.

I choosed Ibis Bencoolen for my convenience due to good location, delicious foods and kind hospitality. I deeply believes that I got the Status Silver of Accor Hotels Member is the result of stayed mostly in Ibis Bencoolen since 2008.

Often stay here for many occasion (business, medical, leisure). What makes me choose Ibis Bencoolen is because its location. We can find foods and do shopping in just a stone's throw away.

Sound insulation is not good, the location is quite convenient

I have a good experience staying here. Rooms are concise but efficient. All staffs are helpful and warm. Many public facilities, publics transports, public places, shopping center are walking distance. Foods are good. Recommended!

Within the busy area of Singapore. 5 minutes walk to Rochor MRT. A little more to Bugs MRT. Good area for shopping.

Clean room, comfy bed, good location near bugis street, restaurant and mrt.Receptionist very helpful and polite. 7-11 beside convenient for autopass top up for driver. Compliment ticket can be receive from receptionist for free parking.

The service of the staff is good, fast, comfortable rooms, good location. In the hotel there are full facilities.

The Hotel is comfortable, clean, and the wifi is good. You can also borrow drink bottle and refill for free

The bed is comfy but the shower room door is not working properly it keeps sliding away, not possible to close it fully. The tv is not working but I did not inform them because I dont really watch the tv.

The breakfast selection is really up to my taste. Scramble egg, bacon and coffee, just what i need for my morning fuel. However, the number of guest greatly outnumber the available seats. It takes a while before the hotel staff open up an additional hall for me to dine in. I like that but hope they respond sooner.

Location wise, superb. Near bugis street and many 24 hour convenience store, good restaurant and shopping mall nearby.

Conclusion, good hotel for a short stay. Especially business trips.

Enjoyed staying in the hotel. The coin operated launderette is a welcome surprise. Less than 10 mins walk from the mrt.

Great as always, stayed here several times in the past. Rooms are small but big enough for my needs and not unusual by Singapore standards. Comfortable bed, great fast free wifi, central location. Friendly staff. I'll be back next time I'm in Singapore.

I stayed on level 4 of the hotel, room look like hospital.
The smell of air freshener is very very strong. My nose is kind of burning with the air freshener.

Breakfast 06-10am. But when it is 9am food service seem discontinue many empty serving pots, trays.

I traveled alone from Bangalore, India from 22nd - 26th April, to see my sons who are students in Singapore.
We took a long time to decide the hotel to stay in, as I was alone. My husband insisted on Ibis as he had stayed at Ibis in Europe. It was the best decision as I was very comfortable and happy. My sister joined from Kuala Lumpur and checked into Ibis Bencoolen too. The staff were very accommodating as they gave us rooms on the same floor, 1036 and 1001. The restaurant staff, hospitality staff, front-office staff and security staff were amazing too! The hotel is in a central place and very convenient. On the whole, a happy and memorable stay at Ibis. It will always be Ibis hereafter!!!! Thank you for your good hospitality!!!

Very good hotel.stayed for 3 night. Near to buggis & bencolen MRT. Food court is just behind the hotel.

Not too bad, not too great, just okayish. lot of improvement areas.

1. Bed mattress was bad, got a backache 2. no thin pillow. 3. I was unwell & had to make 2 long trips from room to resto to be able to pickup my food. No room service option 4. No good content on TV. 5. Too high charges for basic stuff like local call! 6. Very limited variety of veg dishes 8. No bill provided for my dinner & even after requesting at both front desk & resto, it wasnt sorted 9. Early checkin was too expensive (inspite of being available). If room is available, it should be provided. 10. AC stopped cooling sometime in middle of night.

Ibis bencoolen had been our family hotel whenever we came to singapore, because of it's convenient location, a good price, and its' clean and quite spacious room compared to others in this price range. The staff are always very helpful, too. Really satisfied!

The rooms are small but the location is good. Complimentary water is not in the room, you need to go to the restaurant. It seems that the wall is thin, and noises in the hallway reach the room.

Close too bencoolen MRT and bugis MRT station.. Close to many interesting places in Singapore.

Overall, a great hotel. The room was very comfortable and quiet. My only niggles were that there was no power socket for overnight phone charging near the second bed, and the WiFi signal (on the 15th floor) was slightly weak and intermittent. WiFi in Reception was fine. The bathroom was very clean and functional. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice, good food. The location is very good - easy walking distance to the city centre and Marina, and also convenient for the MRT at Bugis. The neighbourhood is fascinating - safe, with local markets and an 'authentic' feel. Most importantly, the hotel staff were great - in true Singaporean style they were very efficient and could not do enough to help.

As soon as landing in Singapore, Annie (my wife) fell outside of the hotel and injured herself. The management team and staff at the hotel made us feel like family. They could not help us more. Special mention to Mark who helped us booking at the doctor. Special mention to all the staff (customer service Suhaima and Vicky at restaurant side) so friendly and professional.

Tasty, clean and comfortable ... unfortunately lacking a swimming pool and the room is rather small

Nice and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Easy access to MRT station. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Always be one of the hotel that I look for in Singapore.

Good place to stay. I found it very convenient to travel to my client s office in Downtown as nearest MRT is about 3 minutes walk away. Bugis junction - famous for street shopping is also 3 minutes away from Ibis. If you plan to take public transport for most of your commutes then this is the ideal place. I could easily walk to from hotel to Little India for shopping and Indian mead once in a while (15 mins waking distance).

Though the hotel does not provide room service but hotel staff is polite and very helpful. I would could this point as their only drawback.

I stayed at Ibis Bencoolen Singapore at a time when I had a conference on geosciences. Hotel Ibis Bencoolen is a very strategic hotel. The hotel is not far from the conference venue, a very easy place to eat, especially for me a Muslim, very easy to find Halal food. The hotel is also close to the tourist center. Even to reach orchid garden, which is my hobby, very easy that is in Botanical Garden. At the time I was looking for souvenirs for my relatives, also very easy and close, it can be reach on foot. For that I am very impressed while staying at Hotel Ibis Bencoolen Singapore.

Dirty. The old building also has a water receiver and breakfast is tasteless. I can not afford to be here at all.

Very enjoyable experience. Staff at counter(Esther & 1 indian girl) were very courteous, helpful, large smiles in spite of long queues. Always willing to give advice where to go . An elderly man (sort of luggage helper,concierge) advised us to take taxi after 7.00pm to avoid off peak fares and still be in time for our departure.We originally planned to leave 6.30.pm.
We saved a few dollars ,but what is more important is that the staff cares for the guests.
Have appreciated late check out.

Internet access was ok. Sometimes got disconnected. I had to move around to be reconnected.Could be problem with my phone. My wife phone had no such problems.
