IBA Karachi: The Oldest Business School Outside North America
Established in 1955, the Institute of Public and Business Administration (IPBA) is the oldest business school outside North America. Initially, technical support was provided by the world-famous Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. Soon after, the University of Southern California set up various facilities at the Institute and assigned several prominent American professors to IBA.
The course contents, curriculum, pedagogical tools, assessment and testing methods were all designed to meet international standards. This has helped IBA Karachi become one of Pakistan's most prestigious institutions for higher education in business administration.
