I Hotel and Conference Center Review

The Illini Union hotel is nice because it's on the Quad, but for overall service, comfort, style, and value, no hotel in C-U compares to I Hotel.

It's located at first and Mary. Service is really good with great food quality.

I had a very pleasant time at the venue what attending an event

We booked the iHotel and Conference Center for a family event. We were not familiar with the area, and traveled in from California, Maine, and Colorado. I know - the pandemic is not a time to hold an event. This was unplanned, exceptional and unavoidable.

During this time of COVID-19 nothing is easy; travel and social gatherings are particularly difficult. Yet the iHotel team flawlessly managed every single detail. The week here has been 100% successful!

For those of you reading this review a few things stand out:

1. Megan was our lead contact. She secured adjacent king rooms with a connecting door for two of us. We could not have had finer accommodations. The beds and linens are luxe; the furniture and other appointments are incredible. I woke early and the front staff happily made a Starbucks latte at 5am.

2. The team managed to set up a conference room in an intimate fashion while adhering to 6 distancing.

3. The University catering group catered our event with incredible food, individually boxed for safety.

4. Critical is that the hotel is dog friendly! My pooch could not have had a better stay. From warm greetings to good morning hellos, Yogi was celebrity.

5. Houlihan's restaurant is part of the hotel and sits on premise. The meal options are well priced, healthy and nutritious. Though we did leave the property on a few occasions, Houlihan s was essentially our onsite kitchen.

I ve stayed in some of the finest hotels here in the US and abroad. The iHotel is on par. If I could magically duplicate this one-of-a-kind hotel, I d never book with another.

The place is nice enough, but there are amenities that were supposed to be included in with the room that are not.

We attended a wedding expo at the I Hotel over the weekend and it was a wonderful experience. I plan to go back soon and visit their spa.

Great Hotel! I stay there everytime I am in Champaign on business. The best and most consistent customer service at a Hotel I have ever been to.

Always a nice place to visit and 20% off Wednesday with sign up. Tomato bisque is best soup there.

Was in town for the Illinois Marathon. We loved our stay. Front desk employees Kennedy and Andrew were AMAZING. Rooms were AWESOME. I highly recommend staying here. They know how to treat customers

I went yesterday for a PWC social meet and greet event. All the hotel staff were super friendly and willing to help me find the conference center room. Cleanup staff was also super helpful.

Stay is very professional and attentive. Meeting areas are very clean. Food was delicious.

Conference center is spacious. Food was well prepared and staff was pleasant. Nice accommodations, but cannot comment on price.

The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff was absolutely amazing! They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. We've stayed at plenty of hotels (many supposedly upscale) over the years and this was one of our best hotel experiences.

I was at the I Hotel for a company holiday party. The food was great, the drinks were awesome, and the staff was excellent. Several projectors were set up for the event for various photos and even karaoke. The atmosphere at the hotel appeared very upscale. Even the restrooms were spotless. Would definitely go there again.

This is hands down the best conference center in the Champaign-Urbana area. The amenities are impossible to beat and their staff is SUPERB. They make any size of meeting or conference a breeze. Planning corporate events is difficult and logistics-heavy, but I know that any event we have at the I Hotel & Conference Center will be as easy as possible because they take away any facility-specific concern. They are simply the best.

The best hotel stay I've had in a long time! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice hot Continental breakfast. The breakfast was closed when I left for airport and the hotel staffs offered me (free) food from the cafe. Flexible and timely shuttle rides to airport and to conference I attended. Wonderful overall!

High end hotel with room service, workout room, breakfast vouchers for the restaurant built in to the hotel, and many amenities available. Starbucks off the lobby, but also available in the coffeemaker in your room. Hotel staff was very helpful. A pleasant experience and would return.

The staff were friendly and the ballroom where the event was held was comfortable and perfect for the event!

Great location close to the University and campus town, with hotel shuttles that run throughout the day. Good service and amenities with a clean fitness center, computer and printer services, free and unlimited wifi, and free parking. Complimentary breakfast was just ok but free starbucks coffee is a plus. The hotel also had a restaurant/bar and a starbucks coffee bar.

Beautiful building, right off the south side of campus. Very welcoming staff with wonderful guest service.

Went there for the Research Park career fair. Really nice environment, but didn't stay for long enough to get a good feel for the area

Although I did not stay overnight as a guest, I was part of organizing and being a part of a special event in their conference rooms. The staff was constantly helpful and supportive, willing and ready to help with our setup needs and dinner we had for our guests. It was a great experience!

They were very helpful when helping me find a bathroom during the Illinois marathon

I held a professional event for the college here, and it was very nice. The conference area is beautiful, and gave a very professional feel. The food was exceptional, and all our guests were very happy.

Amazing staff. Restaurant attached. Great experience.

The place was clean. It's employees were friends and held open the doors. We attended a wedding and everyone seemed helpful. My husband is a vegetarian and when asking the servers what dishes had meat they did not offer any answers or bother to go ask which was frustrating. However, we asked another server inside the reception hall and she said she did not know but then went to all someone who did. She came back with the answer and that was helpful. The bride and groom seemed to like it. The restrooms were right off the reception room. And the hall wasnt too dark but still set the mood!

Modern, clean and comfortable. However, the bar shuts at 10pm.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. The decoration is modern but cozy. They take care of the little details that make your stay different. Definitely my favorite place to stay in Champaign, IL.

Held a silent auction to raise money for family in crisis. The Ihotel was so wonderful donating a ball room for the event! It is so awesome they did this, they even provided tables, table clothes, and the staff is always very professional and so nice.

I recorded a wedding reception here. The food was amazing and they took very good care of us.

Great hotel for conferences or campus events. Houlihans is also very nice. The hotel is situated far away from the downtown area however, which may cause difficulties for some people.

There for a reception and awards program. Nice atmosphere, good food that was well presented and refilled, and nice staff were all appreciated. Plenty of parking. Accessable parking, building and facilities. They have also been consistent over several years.
