Went for the afternoon tea buffet at 10 Scotts. Love the delicious crab cakes which are generous with real crab meat. It has fresh oysters n clams on ice, smoked salmon n maki sushi. The buffet also comes with a pretty 2-tier dessert platter with sweet fresh berries n u could order them again if u want. Hee hee.. Free flow of various coffee n tea selections. Nice ambience with cosy sitting arrangements. Will go back again for high tea with friends

Was in for the lunch buffet at The Straits Kitchen. As a local, i am delighted to find that the local dishes they whipped out are as of high standards! Satay, Otah and Sambal fish are well grilled. Laksa are made in accordance to local palate. Lastly, do leave some space in your stomach for the kuei kuei and ice kacang! Overall, the restaurant do leave a good impression to me! Highly recommended especially for tourists who wants to have a taste of Singapore food in the comfort of hotel setting.

The Grand Lounge is one of a kind. Situated at level 20, the service and food quality is top notch. It's also perfect for quiet and privacy. Unfortunately, it is not accessible to everyone. But should you be able to access it (due to your room booking), it's highly recommended.

We use high tea with 10 scotts. Black tea is a TWC tea leaf with a variety of flavors. It can also be used as lunch, and there are Dim Sum, Sushi, Raw oysters, etc. Space of modern, warm atmosphere. Popular among expatriates' wives.

the rooms were comfortable and the internet was very fast and worked well at all parts of the hotel. The pool is quite shallow but was fun to swim in and the hotel was placed in a really nice area as it is surrounded with shops, restaurants, and even a hospital. The staff is very kind and the facilities are great!

Truly enjoyed my stay here (May 2016). Everyone is helpful and courteous at all times. The room service is really delightful (I had items from healthy menu), from the quality of the food to the presentation and taste. Then there are the people who help maintain room cleanliness, restock the coffee, etc. These folks were a lifesaver for me by providing exactly what I needed when I needed it (I can't live without coffee). The pool area is lovely, including the Oasis restaurant where the food is more healthy/fresh themed than most. Breakfast and cocktail hour on the Club Floor is also very nice with every choice you could imagine. My favorite parts of the stay include waking up one morning and inexplicably craving duck. Lo and behold if smoked duck breast was featured that morning for breakfast. Perfect!
Naturally it is not all about the food. Rooms are comfy, especially the older ones that are larger. Bedding is clean, crisp white cotton with feather pillows. My other favorite: Bath towels are HUGE and robes are also provided. Enjoyed the water-shiny-smooth marble floors of the lobby, just sitting there and people watching was nice. And if you need to mail a postcard you can ask for help at the concierge desk. This place is really a gem!

It is hotel in the town and can not enjoy scenery on high floor, but service and room are very good. There is also an outlet and USB port on the bedside and at the desk. Even if you arrive early, you can check in if there is room available and you can use the spa shower.

This hotel is located on Orchard road and less than 5 mins walk to MRT. The staffs are very good. The room is clean and big. The fitness and swimming pool are very nice. Even the hotel is on the orchard road but you can still feel privacy and relexing.

Very nice hotel. Great staff, particularly Jeffrey, he helped with getting reservation for the roof top restaurant at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. They also furnished the room with a dehumidifier upon request. The food court at Orchid Plaza is amazing. There is not one like it anywhere in US.

Location can't be beaten. Literally a few minutes walk to the MRT and some of the best shop's in Singapore. Amenities inside the hotel are modern. Ballroom was very stylish amd unique layout which I enjoyed during my event.

Not very welcoming when you check-in. You go to reception and are brusquely directed to the check-in counter behind reception. Check-in is done in a professional manner, not in the warm manner that the brochure in the room claims. In dinner buffet, only Indian fare is good. Chinese dishes were not good. In breakfast buffet, lemongrass chicken, fried rice and coffee from the machine is good. Room service is far superior to buffet, probably because it comes from mezza9 which is the higher end restaurant and buffet is served in the lower end straits kitchen. Mezza9 does not serve buffet and has a semi casual dress code disallowing flip flops etc. Straits kitchen allows casual wear. We ordered butter chicken and mutton korma for dinner through room service. They come with rice and were good. For breakfast, we ordered American breakfast through room service. Fried egg / egg sunny side up and Danish pastry were good in the American breakfast. Doormen are good for asking about cabs etc. Swimming pool is bigger than at other places and is enjoyable for kids. Depth is around 5 feet through out, so it's relatively safe for non swimmers as well. Overall, great place to stay, except for the lack of the promised warm reception and low value for money buffet. Sultan of Brunei reportedly stayed here during the recent ASEAN Summit.

Something mystical about this grand lady, very profound and effective in her way with people. I reckon that it take us sometime to unveil her charm to please everyone whenever we are inside!

The Grand Hyatt Singapore is in the hub of Singapore's shopping Meca of Orchard Road. A perfect spot for experiencing the high end, and low-end deals to be found in the various malls off Orchard and Scotts Roads. Nearby MRT entry that is walkable as well.
