Okay, so listen. I was at this hotel for my birthday and expected to be great ! A great stay! Right? right? RIGHT? I would love to enjoy my stay at a nice hotel that doesnt have ants everywhere. Yes, ants. Crawling everywhere. On my leg, in the bed, just everywhere. This isnt a hate review I just want to go to sleep without thinking about ants crawling in my nose. Thanks for reading.
I'm definitely staying here anytime I'm visiting this area. It's close to toll roads that make everywhere in a tri-county area minutes away. The staff can't be any friendlier or helpful. This location is exactly what makes any trip pleasurable.
Convenient location, nice size rooms with large sofa to sit with family. Small refrig in room. Love the shower, appears to have been remodeled recently, NO tub which works for us. Love having a suite everytime
The rooms were very nice. The free breakfast was pretty good. Staff was very friendly. The only complaint is that our room was close to the ice maker and it was very loud.
We normally stay at Hyatt hotels when we travel. We have always had a great experience with Hyatt. This particular hotel appears dated on the exterior. The interior though more updated still feels dated in some areas. Overall we had a great experience at this Hyatt; the staff was friendly, the room was clean l, and the location is very quiet. The location is decent as it is about 15 minutes from downtown Richmond, there are however three tolls between the hotel and downtown. That's six tolls for a round trip. This Hyatt is definitely a great place to stay when you are visiting Richmond and don't want to pay the high price for a downtown hotel.
Really nice and clean hotel. The beds were not the best though...I was kinda shocked.
The rooms were so comfortable. The bathroom and showers were impressive and the room had an air and heating unit that I would love at home.

The Hyatt here is very clean, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is great.
The design for the rooms are horrible! The bathrooms are entirely too small, when opening & closing the door it almost touch the toilet!

We rented out one of their event rooms for a birthday party, and it went really well! The staff was great about refilling the water for us, and the temperature was perfect. It's also right by an escape room, which we stopped in.
My week's stay was enjoyable and the breakfasts were some of the best I've had at smaller hotels. Lots of options. Seme did a great job! The gentleman at the front desk in the mornings was so helpful and really seemed to enjoy his job. I watched him interact with several guests making all of them smile. I'll be back.

The room was adequate, but the AC could not keep up.
The hotel was nicely kept with warm receptionists and a good breakfast selection. The rooms are a bit oddly designed based on how the sinks are outside of the bathroom. Half of the closet is also inside of the wall so it makes putting things inside a bit awkward.
Love the Hyatt! The staff here are very kind and helpful. I asked for two extra pillows and they had no problem giving them to me. Also, since my two friends and I always share the room we split the price three ways. The staff are always happy to let us split it and also never mind if two of use cash and the other uses a debit card. One nice lady saw us getting ready to go out to get something sweet and she told us,"No, you all go get in your PJs, I'll bake you some cookies and make some hot chocolate". We were so grateful as we had a three hour drive to get there and were exhausted. They always go above and beyond here which makes us always want to come back.
The place looked nice. But had a horrendous smell of burnt cheese. Overall it was a very presentable room. But the drain in the tub did not work. I had to keep it propped open with a pen or it would of stayed shut during my shower. The staff was not overly friendly. This stay was just ok in my opinion.

My stay at the Hyatt was a nightmare (no pun intended). When we got to the hotel ,after a long flight, and a late arrival the room that my wife and I were given smelled terrible, the room smelled like someone had smoked a packet of cigarettes hour's before we arrived. When we went to the front desk, we were informed that there were no other rooms left and the hotel was a smoke free place. We made inquiries about leaving,and after a search by the front desk finally settle on remaining there with a bottle of spray deodorant to try and kill the smell. My wife and I were totally disappointed.

Currently at this Hyatt as I write this review. I am here on business with a top floor suite. I am sharing the floor with a high school soccer team. It amazes me how staff assigns rooms given reservations are made in advance. When I questioned if anything could be done about the hall noise and constant door slamming, I only received the customary, "we can send someone up to check." How about contacting the coaches/chaperones to handle the situation. Front desk seemed uninspired most of the time, and the breakfast lady clearly could have used some support. If you are a business traveler or a light sleeper, ask for a room on the parking lot side. The highway side is loud. The room was 99% clean (hair and red stain on carpet). Breakfast was okay, but items were out because of the crowd. Room doors have no dampers, but the rooms are stylish, the beds comfortable, and a nice shower.
Overall very quality stay with reasonable pricing and clean rooms. I have no real complains about the room.

Room was clean...prices for snacks were robbery......breakfast ok but not great.....room we stayed in had a sofa bed that blocked the exit door when in use which was and is very dangerous in an emergency. Entrence door to room when opened took to long to close on its own.
They booked a Halloween party from 9PM-12AM which had loud base music playing that we fealt on the 5th floor. The music and commotion didn't stop until 1 AM. The main reason people are at hotels is to sleep and despite repeated complaints they didn't resolve the noise issues.
Loved this place it's my second time and plan to visit next year. Clean, pleasant & helpful staff ... The ONLY thing I wish they had was a industrial size washing machine and dryer...

It smelled clean as soon as we walked in, but not bleach or intense, but like ths staff cleans on a regular basis! Everyone was friendly and the room was much more than the average hotel room. I am impressed with this facility and I will be staying at Hyatt hotels from now on!
The staff is extremely friendly... The rooms are modern and specious, the room had like an extra room with a counter and small fridge and small sized table, and a very big comfortable couch, outlets were plentiful, and had a USB plug in, the WiFi was fast and worked smoothly
So overall a really great experience, I didn't wake up in time for the comp breakfast so can't tell you how it was.

Attended an event in one the the conference rooms. The staff is extremely accommodating and considerate. Everyone was helpful and polite. I didn't stay for a hotel room stay but I would recommend them for events.
It was great the rooms were awesome the beds were extremely comfortable if you had question the answer them but I'm telling you for being in July or whatever time I went Delight 1st of August I have to tell you the pool was freezing I don't know if they had just filled it up or what but it stays and it's centered directly in the sun and the water was freezing that was to me was unacceptable I realize it's a little higher more up north than I am in North Carolina but still the kids didn't mind

I had an edible arrangement of cut fruit delivered to family members who were staying at the Hyatt Place Richmond/Arboretum. The hotel staff didn't deliver the arrangement to the room or notify the recipients it was there. When I discovered this and contacted the hotel, the person who answered the phone confirmed the hotel had received it but, had not delivered it to my family. He apologized and as an excuse said "the hotel computer system had been down the day before". He offered no form of compensation. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager was currently "busy totaling up receipts" but, would call me ASAP. I never received a call from the manager or any further communication from the hotel. Very disappointing!
Room was magnificent, very very ery clean and well appointed. Was impressed by all various electronics charging options.
Staff were incredibly helpful, despite our late arrival and accommodated our wheelchair related needs

Despite being hidden off the road this hotel is very delightful. The employees were very energetic and knowledgeable about any question I had including the hotel and surrounding area. The rooms were exactly like the pictures on the website. The website does not show the picture for HDMI or VGA cables for the TV which was excellent as I always bring equipment for my children to watch. The room was clean and the ability to order food directly from the kitchen was a plus for those late night cravings. All in all for a three day stay the hotel did everything to accommodate my family and I. Would stay there again, anytime.

Could be five stars but the parties in the parking lot and front door just down grade this place. It doesn't feel like a safe place doors are open to anyone whether they are staying at hotel or not
The area is very pretty, the hotel was adequate. They initially screwed up my reservation payment/room blocking, but did get is resolved quickly. I could not bring the room temperature down to a comfortable level, despite what settings I chose on the HVAC system (I did not notify anyone about it). I waited over ten minutes at the bar to place a food and drink order before finally finding someone myself; the employee was apologetic and quickly placed my order. The burger was very dry with the bun especially being stale and flaky. It would be nice if the area had consistent side walks, including the hotel, and the stairwells didn't look like dungeons. The breakfast dishes were not being cycled fast enough as there weren't any glasses for drinks. Otherwise, everything else was business as usual and functioned fine.
The breakfast at Hyatt needs to have 2 breakfast meat like turkey products because everyone does not eat pork n they also need grits n oatmeal.
