Beautiful location. Mediocre service. Good food. Skip the drinks.
Long story short, this is a beautiful property with not so great staff. Lots of issues at checkin and was almost duped by the manager saying he was upgrading me, but didn't find out until the end of the conversation that he was charging me for it!! (I'm a top tier Hyatt member / had a amex FHR booking so should have been implied it was free). When I called him out on it, he said "oh, but it's normally a $100 upgrade." Complete BS! The room is normally $50 more than a standard room.
Cocktails in the bar and restaurant are ridiculously overpriced because they use bottom shelf liquor!! We're talking not even good domestic brands but what other bars use as well.
Wines aren't much better at all. Everything under $12 on the menu isn't worth $8 at a liquor store for the whole bottle.
Used to love this place, but it's just not what it used to be. Needs to change management and stop calling itself a luxury resort.
Employees are so nice and always willing to help in any way possible!
Nice place. I like the southwest decor. Most everyone working there was friendly and accommodating. However, I will not go back to the spa. DONT pay in cash and make sure you check your hotel bill for correct charges. The spa ripped me off twice, almost three times but I caught the charge before I left by looking at my room charges. I almost forgot the only nice formal restraunt that was there was closed 3 days out of 4 that we where there. So we had to eat at the bar or go off the resort to eat.
Really enjoyed the Christmas Brunch and the staff was incredible.
Not worth what they charge, but a nice place none the less
Lovely. The view was gorgeous. If I had to complain about anything it would be the stiff bed sheets. But otherwise it was worth visiting.
Great service, clean rooms, lots of activities for kids and adults.
A beautiful secluded resort with a very friendly staff. I got a complementary margarita on check in that was pretty good. They have clean rooms with beautiful views and its very quiet. There are some trails on the property that are well maintained that I enjoyed running on. I'm definitely returning.
My husband had a business retreat there. Staff were professional and responsive to requests. Grounds were beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. Nature walk down by the Bosque is a must!
I felt like having to pack a lunch my room was so far. The room set up was strange, No liners in trash cans nor were they located in the usual places making it inconvenient. For the price (& I had a special rate) I didn't think that particular room should have cost that much. While there is a resort fee, I don't think a complimentary tiny margarita is worth the $35 fee. Maybe they should have told me there were Smores and what else that included verbally, maybe I would have taken advantage of those items. Room was clean but don't believe I'll stay there again not to mention I'm a local and I could just go home. The hotel is kept up nicely and loved all the hummingbirds. The paths and grounds were great.
This hotel has a very restful and peaceful atmosphere. There are trails along the back and along the Rio Grande river which are very delightful.
This is a beautiful property with luxury amenities near sacred tribal sites. It is less than $10 for a Lyft ride to Rio Rancho if you need typical suburban stores or restaurants.
We live in Albuquerque, so we haven't stayed in the hotel but we've gone to the restaurant and bar. The food is yummy and reasonable. The views from the bar patio are priceless. A great view of the mountains and the trees alongside the Rio Grande.
Feels remote and peaceful but is very close to Albuquerque
Need more local craft beer selection, rotating draft beers. Chips and guac is bleh I could make better for 1/3 the price. Seems over priced but it's a hotel. View is nice during the right time of year. Wouldn't go out of my way to go.
I've only stayed here a few times but have come for drinks and dinner and Tamaya is beautiful and the grounds and views are stunning.
Room was awesome. We had the very end of the hotel but the view was amazing.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff was helpful.
Feels like an unfinished hotel and the food was the same in all the restaurants. The bar had the best service and food. Super weird.
Nice hiking trails behind hotel. You can get married here.
Very nice resort, parking is really far from the rooms and there were several items in our room that were in disrepair.
Beautiful scenery, well-appointed rooms, good food, extremely gracious staff. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Grounds were nice, staff was professional and nice, room was small and in need of cosmetic repairs. I've stayed at much nicer hotels for much less money. Not worth it.
I love the scenery, the plants, the mountain view, the peaceful atmosphere
Fabulous! If u love Native Americans, this is the place!
Golf course is amazing if your looking for a gear way to spend a day golfing twin is the way to go
I did not stay at the hotel but I did attend an outdoor event in the same area they host weddings. The location is beautiful and there are multiple trails running next to the Bosque that include some fitness stops. The area is well maintained and the motif matches the culture. Great experience, worth a visit.
This is an amazing resort with incredible view of open nature. Bike trails and nice cruiser beach bikes. Very nice staff. The manger (Karim) was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely go there again. Upgrades to suites are not super expensive. Very nice amenities and close to both ABQ and Santa Fe.
Was really beautiful and nice employees. Positive atmosphere.
Nice quiet spot with a top notch conference Center. Breathtaking views and friendly staff
Quiet and cozy place to stay with great views and 5 star staff.
One of our favorite vacation spots! Beautiful-- great amenities-- perfect for families or romantic get-aways!
As pictured and better. Excellent customer service, COMFORTABLE beds. ( this is the 6th time I stay in Hyatt hotels and I ve always loved their bedding.) Hyatt Tamaya has 3 swimming pools, horseback riding, walking tours, movies by the pool for the kids (loved this concept) golf course, restaurants, spa, views... I mean, this place is EXCELLENT! Thank you Hyatt Tamaya for a beautiful experience. You are the meaning of hospitality.
Wonderful service. Best staff I've ever experienced.
Outstanding experience in every aspect. Definitely recommended.
The staff was friendly and professional. I didn't stay at the resort, but it seems very nice. Gorgeous outdoor area, very quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful place. Located off the highway and very quiet and peaceful.
Bikes on the grounds and it's a pretty ride along the river. The Corn Maiden is delicious. Relaxing and calming resort.
Nice resort, but the restaurants aren't open every day.
Admittedly I was not a guest, but I did book a spa treatment at Tamaya Mist, and I cannot sing the staff s praises enough. I planned a spa day after a really hectic and not-so-great holiday season, and I needed to take care of myself. When I did get there, both the women s and men s area were being worked on. Despite the construction, the staff could not have been more kind, accommodating or professional. I went in for a royal renewal treatment with Yvonne and she was incredible! All my stress is gone and I feel fantastic. I cannot wait to book my next spa visit and I d recommend Tamaya Mist to anyone in serious need of a me day.
Spent very little time at the resort but what time I did I was pleased with... 4 stars due to upkeep of rooms, not dirty but quite outdated. Please add outlets for guests as the only available in our room was the bathroom.
Beautiful ambiance and service. I only visited, but would love to stay.
The hotel has a scenic view of beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The rails are fantastic.
Visited Tamaya for a blood drive. Facilities were very nice.
Went for dinner and drinks. Atmosphere and service were great
Comfortable well appointed rooms, friendly staff and a quiet secluded location make this resort a special place.
Is was amazing scenery and a beautiful room to stay in. I loved it. I can't wait to come back again.
Excellent hotel and staff. The restaurant is very good!
Way off the beaten path; no traffic noise; Native American motif including flute music throughout; three pools; wedding pavilion has hummingbirds; walking paths Spa... If you really want to get away from it all go here!!
We had a great night. But there was hair in the bed. So not sure for what we paid if clean sheets were included lol. So if we stay again I will ask for clean sheets.
We always have an amazing time... Thank you for a wonderful visit.
Wonderful family resort. Lots to do and great food and service!
Definitely built to keep you outdoors from the fantastic trails that take you up to the edge of the Rio Grande and wild turkeys to the vistas of the New Mexico landscape. There are also large inside "living rooms" to view the outdoors from the comfort of the A/C. I've been here all of 3 hours and I'm a fan.
I'm sure the golf is great too if I were a golfer. :)
Very nice. Out in The desert and away from the highway noise
Nice rooms and room service great pool for my kids. Awesome views of the Sandia Mountains.
A very nice hotel. The shuttle ride was very short to the Santa And Casino. I recommend staying at the Hyatt when you are going to the casino.
In the middle of nowhere. Had to go outside to get to my room when it was 30 degrees outside.
Nice place yet the power is unstable and wall plugs by bed intermittent. Alarm clock was set for 6am sucked yet let me know my phone was dead & not charging when i tried to check the time.
