Didn t stay in the hotel but came for a conference. They took very good care of us and the food was good and non stop. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack...we were stuffed. Very reliable wifi and AV.

Nice quiet rooms. The bar is always lively all day. The have a steakhouse restaurant on the top level, but I never got the chance to eat there maybe next time. The also have Fe-dex office in place.

The staff are great, the rooms clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet is nice, however I do order off the menu for the Southwestern Eggs Benedict. It is fantastic.

Nightly recommend this hotel.

I can t speak enough positive to things about this hotel. Holly and Megan at the front desk are rockstars, and truly helped us out so many times. From pens to a label maker...they made us (and me) feel at home for the nearly two weeks we have been here. Having access to coffee in the morning as a reasonable price what also conveinent. Last but not least the bar food (open thurs-Saturday) and staff are amazing. They knew and greeted me and my coworkers by name and made the trip a lot easier. The food (truffle fries 100% awesome and the salmon kale Cesar salad was perfectly portioned) Maria and Chris....thank you for getting to know me and making me feel a little less alone during scary Covid time. -Luna

Nice rooms beds and meeting space, good food in restaurants, but concierge group are not friendly folks. There was 3 standing around Monday evening and acted like I was disturbing them when I asked a simple question. I'll NOT ask again. Rude and uncalled for.

I checked in with Taylor. She and another lady were extremely nice. I only stayed one night because I was there for a specific event. Upon entering the room, I didn't have much time so I immediately hopped in the shower. To my surprise the tub had hair in it and it was also clogged. My hair is short so it could not have been mine. Again, I was late so I let it go. As I was leaving to go to the event, I informed the front desk staff of the issue but I told them that it was pointless for me to change rooms because I knew that I would be leaving the next day. Thankfully, they did send maintenance to fix the clog. Went to the event, came back, sat in the chair in the room and to my surprise there was a dirty men s sock. At that point, I was annoyed but it was 3 AM. The next morning I called to speak with housekeeping regarding the room. I spoke with the manager on duty, Ms. Summers. As soon as I got on the phone with Ms. Summers, I informed her that I was leaving that day and that I did not want anything for free but I did want to let her know that the room is dirty and I have pictures. Ms. Summers went on to tell me about their protocol and how they have meetings every morning, how they are supposed to use some form of tape that insures that there isn't any hair anywhere in the room, etc. Then, she proceeds to tell me, and I quote, "Unfortunately, you booked through a 3rd party so I can't give you a free room." #1 Her statement is a complete lie, this is not my first rodeo. #2 I clearly stated in the beginning of the phone call that I don't want anything for free because I am leaving. So, after I informed her that she has poor communication skills because she had not heard a word I said and I how I don't need anything for free because I can buy whatever I want when I want. She then proceeded to yell at me that I was threatening her. Where in that statement is there a threat? Is she assuming that I am going to attempt to buy her? Is she selling something in the hotel that we don't know about? I was baffled and told her that I now understand why the room is dirty. If management doesn't care, why would the employees care? I was nice to everyone. I was even nice to her until she decided to make an assumption that I was only complaining in order to get something for free. If I wanted something for free, I would not have gone to housekeeping, I would have spoken to the business manager. Someone that actually has power. I was merely informing housekeeping so that they could reprimand their own department without getting their superiors involved but that is not how Ms. Summers operates. She chose to not only waste my time with her assumption but ruin my experience with her nasty attitude. I do like the Hyatt but I do not understand why the housekeepers are allowed to sit on the clock and do absolutely nothing nor do I understand why management thinks it is okay and why they would assume that simply because someone is giving constructive criticism that it MUST mean they want something for free. Completely unacceptable.

Also, I was informed by Henry at the front desk that this particular location doesn't have a General Manager so I am inclined to believe that due to there not being proper management, the employees feel as if they can do whatever they want. I can tolerate a dirty room but someone assuming that I want something for free even after I informed them that I am only informing them of the lack of cleanliness is ridiculous. She lacks proper communication skills. She listened to respond instead of actually hearing what I was saying. I am confused on how she is even in management. Maybe I just caught her at a bad time.

I will try my best to judge your location based on the Hyatt brand and not the actions of your staff.

Beautiful room. We booked with a third party, hotel picked the room so we got two full beds instead of one queen or a king (whomp whomp). The view is amazing and the location is awesome. 15 minute or less walk to anything downtown and $10 or less uber to the montrose/westheimer area. The view inside isn't for those afraid of heights.

The bar/restraunt was good! The service was average, the food was great, and it had a nice ambiance. Only thing was that it was the weekend so it was packed with people and i couldn't hear what my boyfriend was saying even though i was sitting right next to him.

Came for a 3-day conference, and took advantage of the great breakfast and lunch options available for hosted meetings. The room we used was a little outdated, but was well kept. Service at the hotel is exceptional from valet to conference room attendants. Our company will choose the Hyatt Regency again!

June 18, 2016: Clean so far, staff helpful especially "Phelicia" who assisted me in making the switch in rooms for my convention. Had breakfast at Shula and looking forward to a good convention week. Will repost as the week goes on. As a Hyatt and Hilton member I am always looking for the good and bad to compare for my hard earned dollar.

Very nice accommodations. Stayed here for a wedding and everything was excellent. Great hotel bar, and the Einsteins in the lobby was good for a late night snack. The parking was very expensive, though. I found a much cheaper parking space a block away.

The staff was just amazing! we took our 3 year old for his birthday and the front desk surprised him with a chocolate cake which was delicious along with a birthday card signed by all of them. Room service was great and fast, and the room was nice and clean with a great view, the bed was nice and firm I didn t like the pillows, they were too small and soft but that s probably why they give you so many. The complimentary shuttle was perfect since parking in downtown is sometimes impossible we used it to go to the aquarium which was really fun.

Everything that you can expect from a Hyatt Regency hotel, particularly in a city like Houston where everything is so big... Was very impressed by the Spindletop restaurant at the top of the hotel!
