Local Art in this re- growing town. It is a natural pattern; Art starts a NEW LIFE in a town, followed with Botiques and othe niches.... then Corporates come in and breakdown what Art creates....

Love the outdoors feel but there is shelter in case it rains.

Interesting exhibits and occasional live music and performance

Best place to be out and be safe from too large of a crowd. On Fridays they have music, vendors and art.
Daily yoga classes have helped me through the stress of the pandemic.

A cool art gallery and alternative space. In January there is an open show that has many events around town.

The Art Park has wonderful acoustics, talented musicians, and a lively crowd. Food and bev good and priced fairly.

I came here for a concert that was held outside, and what a cool venue! The sound was good, the dance area was nice, great amount of seating and room to move around, the bar had a wide selection.

As for the art gallery half, I did a walk through and there were some really interesting pieces. I like what this place stands for and I love that it supports local artists!

Love seeing all the different styles and age groups displayed at this gallery. No boundaries.

I went to the band's from the el & gee show had a blast from the past,so good to see old friends.

I have been coming here for three years, twice a week to participate in an after school writing club. The staff here are wonderful and kind, and the art is always interesting to look at. There are a lot of live events that go on here as well.

The displays are often of local artistry, whether it is bands, or gallery. It's a great place to see new culture and meet interesting people.

Great Art and Event space, gallery and large outdoor event area with variety of wonderful events, performances, and shows. Definitely recommend visiting this little gem in downtown New London.

Local artists show there art work here, and a lot of his places to eat an drink in walking distance.

The annual Open Art Show for the emerging artist is the bomb. You will see everything from the classic train to someone xerox their nuts on the wall. You will never be bored with what you find at the Hygienic.

The Hygienic remains the best cultural hotspot within 50 miles. The Gallery showcases the most diverse and inspiring art from the region and does not cater strictly to the aging Maritime Art population like other museums or galleries in the area. If you ever want to hear what's happening in New London or feel like getting a little culture in your life on your way around the restaurant or Bar circuit just stop by and marvel at what is going on at The Hygienic.

Great outdoor venue for music. Covered translucent canopy, trees, tables, bathrooms, and libations. The only problem is the Amtrak trains make a racket and can drown out the music when they blow their horns for the nearby crossings.

Support! Support! Support! The arts are essential...the Hygienic is a forum for all creative experiences...

They feature up- and-coming artists whether it is artwork, music or poetry. A cool, funky place where the stranger is welcome and you feel at home.

Such a cool outdoor venue. Bonus that you can bring in your own food.

Unjuried and uncensored. Few pieces made a big impression but isn't it great to be able to walk into a gallery on a Sunday afternoon and see that at least a dozen other people had the same thought.

I stopped in randomly to an art showing and really liked it. I purchased my first small piece of art. Great people.

I also attended their Ska Prom show with 3 different bands. It's a great set up.

If it's zany you're looking for, you're in the right place.

This gallery is a true "art" gallery, in that you're likely to see unique things you haven't before, by people who are bonafide artsy artists. It's fun, mind bending, inspiring and sometimes even mildly offensive - definitely a lot of outside the box stuff. This all becomes even more evident in the annual Hygienic Arts Festival that happens around the last weekend of January, where the dial on culture peaks in New London. It's one of my favorite things about New London, where you can find some unusual people who care about all of us while not caring what you think of them.
