Nice midtown hotel. Breakfast is great for being complimentary. Conveniently located close the 34th Street / Harold Sq subway stop.
Nice midtown hotel. Breakfast is great for being complimentary. Conveniently located close the 34th Street / Harold Sq subway stop.
I liked it because the bed was soft and the staff was nice. The morning breakfast was for the most part good but the sausage could have been cooked more.
Seren and Brandon are the definition of what customer service. Having a great time in NY. And staying here is worthwhile.
The rooms are extremely tiny but typical of New York accommodations. The beds are old.
It's in a good location. The free breakfast is okay.
Breakfast every morning with a good food selection, but very crowded (you are in New York). Rooms are above average in quality though a little smaller than some hotels. Outside patio seating.
Despite having told hotel staff, this is the second night our shower has not been working.
We stayed here for five nights and was really happy with the hotel. Rooms were a good size (for New York,), hotel location was awesome - 2 minutes from the subway, 10 minutes from times square, 5 minutes from MSG and Penn Station, and the continental breakfast was a nice added bonus. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
Just visit with a guest, very beautiful and the people are very friendly.
Great location and accommodations. Arrived hours before check-in, and the staff stored my luggage for me. This allowed me to get a jump on site seeing. Breakfast was complimentary, and the menu changes daily. Get breakfast early to ensure you get a place to sit and food. After checkout, my return flight was cancelled. I went back there, and they put me up for the night and were very sympathetic to my situation. Considering it was a Friday, I was surprised how easy going they were with me. Can't wait to go there again.
Awesome location, staff was wonderful, breakfast was great and so quiet and nice for families! This family of 6 from Mississippi enjoyed our Thanksgiving in New York and will be back.
Straight forward and inexpensive option in midtown Manhattan. Staff was kind and attentive, room was clean and decent size.
Excellent hotel convenient location as well for shopping near by with a competent helpful staff house keeping included...
Like any other Hyatt Place. Good stay. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Great location, great breakfast, clean, huge roof top view ....
Good hotel in a perfect location and 3 minutes walk to Macy's. For American standards with very good breakfast. From the 26th floor you have a great view of Empire State Building.
still holding my credit card's funds despite we've checked out week ago!!! :(
Great location 8 minutes from time's .
Breakfast with real orange juice
Excellent Hotel !!!
Hotel with modern rooms, wonderful location. And there is still breakfast.
Business friendly. Convenient to Midtown if that's where you have to be. Friendly staff.
Very good location. The hotel is new, so the rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast were included and has good options to initiate the day.
Very nice reception and rooms were clean and spacious.
Good hotel, with a good location, but many times the staff are uninterested in answering you
The hotel has the best location. Central in the fashion district and close to all best attractions. But the rooms are outdated and the breakfast is cramped. Choose only it needed s central location.
Small but great addition to the Hyatt family in the city.
Very friendly staff and a comfortable environment to network, grab a few drinks, and chat. Didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't comment on the rooms.
The rooms are as expected for a city hotel. Don't rlexpect a normal sized Hyatt Place room! But they are comfy, clean, and still a good size. The staff is very friendly. The only reason for taking away one star is the breakfast. It's a bit chaotic and most of the food needed to be refilled when we were in line.
Priced as the environment. Clean and friendly staff. We would go there again. The environment is also ok and you can reach very much on foot.
Room was cozy and the staff friendly but there stay ended on a sour note when I was required to pay for an additional 24 hours of parking @ $39/day because my car was over the 24 hour period by 45 minutes. Hotel refused to comp this or even work out a better deal.
I had to take a business trip here at the last minute. Of course I was price-gouged, but I guess that is to be expected with last minute trips to Manhattan, even if it was a Monday night. I paid almost three times the going rate for a modestly appointed room and got stuck in the elevator once.
I had to leave the next day in a hurry and left a dress shirt in the room. It was a very expensive brand new custom dress shirt. I called as soon as I got home that evening and left a voicemail with the lost and found. It took two days and a complaint to finally get ahold of a person instead of a voicemail; of course they have no knowledge of anything being left in the room but promised they would check with the housekeeper. I have now called for four days straight trying to get more information but no one can be bothered to return my calls.
Hyatt has lost my business.
TLDR; price gouged, modest rooms, clothing I left "disappeared". Never again on a Hyatt property.
This hotel was great! The rooms were a very nice size with plenty of space, and the view out my window of the Empire State Building was incredible. Free breakfast, spacious rooms, friendly staff, what more could you want in the big apple!?
Good, clean hotel... Ideally situated for most attractions. Breakfast leaves a little to be desired although adequate. Elevators tend to be very slow at peak times since there are only 2 serving both guests and the hotel staff.... Friendly check in/out.
Love Hyatt hotels! Wonderful breakfast , super close to Times Square. Will definitely stay here again.
The Hyatt is a great place to stay while in New York. It's very central and close to a lot of things and the staff was nice. My only small annoyance would be with the room (bathroom specifically), which had a leaking faucet when using the sink. It wasn't a huge deal and my girlfriend and I didn't want to get moved to another room for this so we just dealt with it. But definitely let the staff know after our stay. Otherwise good time spent here!
Nice folks. A few items in the room are not functional.
Only one of the two elevators for this 26th floor hotel is working. It takes a long to to get down to the lobby and up from my room. We ve had to take the stairs to our floor on the 20th floor several times. We were not told at check in that one of the elevators was out of service.
Great location to key attractions. Friendly staff, very secure location.
Great space. High rise. Place to relax during snowstorm
Always here when on business trips even though I live I New York. The location is fine and room space is better. Convenient.
Decent breakfast. Clean though small rooms. No lotion in the rooms. Internet is decent speed, not bad for complimentary internet.
Very old and dingy. Customer Service is rough around the edges. Some rooms seem updated but not sure. Good size for NYC though. Quite large but again, seems dingy.
Very repetitive breakfast, its good quality (except the pancakes) but gets old fast. Really good placement, everything is clean and everyone is really nice.
Fantastic location !! It seemed to have the Empire in the room .. good and varied breakfast .... a flaw: the elevators certainly not adequate to the number of guests and often malfunanti..staff very courteous ... location of a unique comfort .. . Recommend ... recommend .... advise
This hotel is top notch, breakfast spectacular, room perfect and the bathroom has heated floors, loved it!
For New York standards and considering the cost benefit this is a very good hotel, comfortable room, very helpful hotel staff and a much better breakfast than the usual continental continental coffees in the United States.
Smaller room than expected but nice place. Very courteous staff!
Very clean rooms. Nice pleasant atmosphere and a great location in the city
If you looking for bad service and bed bugs, this is your best choice.
My friend and his wife invited my wife and I to spend 3 days in NY. When we got there, we found out that our reservation was placed as a king size bed with a couch. So we asked to switch to a double room with two queens. But the answer was that they did not have one.
A few minutes later we were told that they had one, but they would have to charge us $220 a day for the switching. Really?
We ended up sleeping uncomfortable for three days.
The worst part is that we got bitten by bed bugs.
Unbelievable! A weekend to forget an hotel to remember...
Location is good but both rooms I had were incredibly noisy. Asked for a higher floor as other reviews suggested and was told "it's not possible". If I can't count on a quiet room, even on request, I can't recommend this hotel and won't stay again.
Sweet, friendly, warm hotel. Free WiFi is fast. Rooms are large and comfortable.
The service was very poor, the rooms were dirty my sheets had a red stain on it when I asked to change my sheets the young lady said all the sheets are like that, the staff are clueless, rude and unprofessional and most of all they look dirty I couldn t distinguish them from the homeless. The hotel had no hot water for several days they did put a sign up until the second day. The area where they put out breakfast the rugs are dirty it looks like it did not clean for months that area there is a couch that is where one of the staff hangs out I am not sure if he sleeps there, I went down to inquire about the hot water and he did not even move from the couch it was really bad this hotel is a dump and staff puts it in the gutter. The people give Hyatt a bad name. I they don t deserve a one star.
Rooms are clean and good soze. Close to everything.
Actually both the hotel and the people who work in the excellent!, The location very good, if you plan to walk
Loved our stay (: really clean, great room! Staff was accessively friendly, and even held our bags for us while we checked out New York and they were getting our room ready for us earlier than check in. Extremely accomodating and they even had breakfast. We were able to see the city from our room too. I really loved our stay. We came during a really busy time to see a concert at MSG and their hotel was well priced and wasn't over packed. You should absolutely stay here!!
Nice rooms, great location in midtown south Manhattan. What meager breakfast to European standards.
Excellent hotel, in the heart of Mahatma, from the window you see the Impire states, two blocks from 5th Avenue, wonderful cafe, service 10, perfect for anyone wanting to stay close to the greatest amount of sights in New York.
You can lie in bed right next to the top of the Empire State Building!
My wife and I spent 6 days and 5 nights here. Awesome experience with the Staff, breakfast, views and location. We will def book here again.
Nice place, slightly crowded, and well kept. The free breakfast is chaotic and unorganized. Overall, not bad.
The room with a view of the Empire State Building is spectacular :)
The place is clean and the empire states views are amazing.
Clean and spacious rooms, wonderful terrace and very good breakfast
Stayed at a really nice room on the 25th, with an absolutely amazing view of the Empire State building. Staff is helpful, breakfast could be a bit better, but it's ok if you're not too picky.
After spending a night in New York with no place to go after a different hotel refused to check me into my reservation. I was exhausted, with a cold, and indeed of a place that felt like home. Than Expedia found for me Hyatt Place New York City Midtown South just 10 minutes away. I walked in and right away I realized this place was different; they kindly checked me in right away and from the beginning I felt at home. My room was large, the bed was big, and slept so well past breakfast :( Still need to work on that wake-up call... but still I can t begin to thank them enough for their wonderful hospitality and a most excellent stay.
Good hotel. Very friendly staff. Good location . Good breakfast.
Great location, close to Harold Square stop. Room is nice and clean. Service has been great during my stay
