I'm not going to say anything new that hasn't been said by the other people that have reviewed this store. Their communication for distance purchases is god awful. I wrote them a check August of 2018, and finally got my purchase this week, nearly a year after they cashed it in. That was after I had forgotten about it as a lost cause, after a BBB request and after they stopped responding to calls and my e-mails.

Now why haven't I knocked them to one star?

Well the product, as surprised as I am to get it, is in surprisingly good shape and actually functions well. It seems to be a well cared for peace and I can say I'm truly happy to finally get it.

I suppose this would've been acceptable had they'd notified me of this massive delay instead of saying next week and eventually nothing.

Can you blame me for thinking it was a scam?

You may want to do your business in person, if at all, with these guys as distance is not their strong suit.

I've had two experiences with Hunters Lodge Corp. and both have been positive, well almost. Several years ago I purchased an antique Spanish Mauser and it was shipped to my home without a hitch. Just this year, in April to be exact, I sent them a check for an antique Peruvian Mauser. I waited and waited for my rifle to arrive and nothing. I started calling and emailing to inquire about my rifle and every time I was given a different answer. After numerous calls and emails I finally told them I'm a retired cop who had no problem taking legal action if I didn't receive my rifle or my money back. Well, my rifle arrived yesterday and I could not be more delighted with it. The rifle's wood is beautiful and most of the metal has strong bluing. They explained to me that they were back-ordered on other items. I'm happy with my Mauser and willing to give Hunters Lodge a fair shake.

I order an Enfield revolver. HL was fast to reply to my emails. The whole process from mailing my check to receiving my revolver took 5 weeks. I'm sure covid-19 slowed the process. I'm happy with the firearn.

Uncommunicative. Rude. I was going to order several hundred dollars of stuff from them and it took over a week for them to answer my questions. They don't respond to their web page contact form or answer the phone. They finally half-answered an email but it was incomplete sentences. One-third of answer was, "Been Busy." No way was I going to send them money. Another merchant was happy to take my money...

I have made numerous orders in 2020 and received them in a reasonable but not fast time. Ordered a shotgun over 2 months ago. Given numerous excuses when call, if they answer. I am not going to order from anymore. Too bad, they do have a good selection and good prices. The last listing is of merchandise is over 3 months old.

I live in California, and arranged to buy an Enfield revolver. They didn't answer three of the emails I sent, and all but the last time I telephoned, their phone rang and rang without being picked up. On the last call, I was told my order was in shipping and would go out "any day", and that turned out to be true. I received the revolver 9 weeks after my check was cashed.

Mailed check on January 5th 2019 for a order at Hunter's Lodge. Didnt cash check til February 4th 2019. Received half the order March 1st 2019. Received 2nd half March 11th 2019. Called Gail a total of 17 times inquiring about the order and would get excuse and excuse for the order. Finally was able to reach "James" and with his help was able to get the ball on the roll to get the order for my customer. Horrible customer service to say the least. I believe firing Gail, hiring better personnel, and implementing a better communication system would help them do a better business.

After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous about placing an order, but I'm glad I did. I sent them a check and two weeks later received a well-padded, nicely packaged rifle stock. No complaints at all, and I will be doing business with them in the future.
