Great food, great location, horrible service!! Wait staff rude and inattentive. Hope this person was just having a bad day because they were truly awful.

Food was great. I waited maybe 20 min for a table but it was worth it. I highly recommend the polynesian platter. Food came out pretty fast

Really cute great place! Right on the water, outdoor seating, some open some closed. Really great service, drinks are pretty low priced. Food is amazing, a little pricey but definitely worth it! Would highly recommend for a weekend brunch or a birthday celebration. Decorations are super nice and they have an outside and an inside bar

Good bar right on the river. Fun atmosphere with great drinks and free chips and salsa. A little expensive but worth it in my opinion

Always a favorite of mine and our out of town guests! Food is great, good price and the wait time has been cut and much better now.

Colorful and spacious, Austin's Hula Hut contrasts the calm river around it yet at the same time creates a wonderful atmosphere. Incredible salsa and unique food such as the Thai Fajitas encourage me to visit again on another trip; maybe next year. I decided to try the Slow-roasted Pork Burrito due to the cooking method as well as the cooking time, and it was fantastic. Just how slow the pork was actually roasted became immediately evident with my first gigantic bite of what is now included on my Top 5 Burrito List. You've never heard of my Top 5 Burrito List, though because it's written with electricity onto my brain drive, and that is not a shared drive.

Fun atmosphere. Always a wait (which isn't necessarily a bad thing seeing as how it proves how popular it is.) The pineapple mango salsa is delicious. Scenery very beautiful. Interesting twist on Mexican/tropical foods.

This is an established Austin restaurant. Great food, large portions and freshly made. Great family choice. There can be a short wait at busy times.

The margs are great, and the fried avacodo is pretty amazing

Food quality has gone down. We used to go here alot and have not been motivated after a number of visits confirmed the consistent decline in food quality.

Food was average at best. The staff was very disorganised. Our waitress had a great attitude and was friendly, but she was a horrible waitress. The atmosphere was super cool and lived up to what you would expect from the name, but ultimately that's all you're paying for.

Only had iced tea, but watching the sunset was very pretty.

Loved the fried ice cream. Definitely enough for 2-3 people.

Good food and salsa. Our service was not the best, but it's really about the view and food.

My brother was not wearing a tshirt under his robe, so he got kick out by management, ruined my Bday celebration even though we ask to bring a extra tshirt from the boat! This was rude and I even heard racial slurs from the employees while they walked them out! Don't think we'll be back to this place even though they tried giving us free drinks, no thank you I can pay for my drinks somewhere else!

This place is just freaking awesome - and the food is pretty good too!

Never had a bad experience here!! Literally on water and has a great atmosphere. Do expect to wait during busy time, but well worth it. I mostly get mixed fajitas and the best I've had compared to any Mexican restaurant... in my opinion.

Great place for Mexican food. Theyre ribs are one of the best in town specially for a non-designated barbecue spot. Very busy during the weekends and nights.

Food is decent and serves was friendly. They have tables spread out for social distancing. Really, just go there for the peaceful view of the waterfront.

The reason the food here is so uninspiring is not because it's bad food, but rather there are so many other Mexican restaurants in town that do so much better.
The lake view is nice, but that's about it.

Been here multiple times. Food is generally good, drinks are good, and staff is good.
I will say, however, whomever came up with the mango poblano quesadilla is either stupid, or a sadist-- Dreadful medley... no, collision of flavors.

This place was spectacular! The food was an amazing mix of Hawaiian and Tex-Mex. I come here often and service is friendly and service is quick. Delicious!

I give it 5 stars for the service we received over the weekend. Celebrated by sons second birthday at the hula hut Austin with almost 30 family members. They cleared out and entire section just for our family and it was perfect. Brian was our server and he did a fantastic job making sure all our guests were well taken care of. Drinks were yummy and the food delicious. Wish I had eaten more but I was too busy hosting my guests. I hope to go back soon! Thanks again hula hut Austin and Brian for a fab weekend.

The restaurante was really good the waiter was amazing .the place was very nice the food was great .my family and i really enjoyed it .my son came along and he went inside the little bar this lady told him in a very bad way to GET OUT.i understad that he had to get out but not the righ way to talk to a 4 year old .she even made a very bad face se dos't reallize that shes an adult

Amazing view and good food. I would suggest rebranding. Its mostly tex mex with a few Hawaiian options.

Chips and salsa bar, get up and refill at will, try the drinks unique to their location won't disappoint, if you're looking for a beach experience away from the beach this is it, spectacular view of lake, very relaxed atmosphere, definitely a must while in Austin. Be advised, there is always a tremendous wait around lunch time to get a table and to be served, suggest to call in advance for estimated wait time, bar seating is a lot faster.

If you like Chuy s salsa.. it s the same recipe here. Never had anything on the menu that i really raved about though and service is absolutely terrible. The view is spectacular though!

My sister, brother in law and I drove from San Antonio to Austin to try out this restaurant and it was worth the trip the food was great and our waiter Rudy was great keep up the good work!!

Food is just ok. I ordered the Huli huli luau platter which comes with ribs, nachos, tacos, flautas, etc. None of the food was exceptional but it wasn t bad either. What was bad was the service we received from our server. There were a couple of errors on our ticket costing around $5-$6. I brought it to our servers attn and she says let me go get my manager. After waiting 5-6 min no sign of her or the manager me and my family decided to just leave it wasn t worth the time to wait around.

Love the views, love the drinks and a really cool place to just hang out. Usually crowded on the weekends so if you can sneak away during the week (and during the day) it is a great place to hangout!

Great Mexican food place. The salsa and chips here are my favorite. Gets crazy crowded though.

You just can't hate a great big bar on the lake when the weather is hot. Weekends and holidays you will jealously watch as ski boats dock up to get their afternoon libation fix. Of course you'll still be sipping on a frosty cold adult beverage when they depart to skip across lake Travis. Decent appetizers and cold drinks help to make up for the mediocre table service, had to walk to the bar for my 2nd drink.

Good food relaxing atmosphere. Been coming here for many years and will continue to come back. Can be a bit of a wait sometimes but generally not bad.

Soda was flat and the waiter was strange. But the food was good and it was a beautiful atmosphere. Will return.

It was ok. The view of the lake is amazing. Parking is tight, but they do have more spaces across the road. The shrimp tacos were pretty good, especially the slaw. Family had Hawaiian fajitas that had pineapple and giant inedible green onions.

Favorite stop for locals and visitors so you need to go! Food is great keep coming back for the fajitas and shrimp tacos! Queso is an absolute MUST. Sit back, relax, enjoy the view and delicious margaritas, and grab a t-shirt on your way out! No need for weed when you hit the Hut

Great Mexican Hawaiian fusion cuisine. The drinks are potent. Enjoy a margarita while sitting on the patio by the lake. The steak tubular taco is great! It's huge and the steak is tender with the perfect amount of seasoning. Also recommend the Huli Huli plate. Perfect for groups. It has a little bit of everything including ribs, flautas, salad, nachos, and tacos. I was really impressed with the ribs. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was sweet and tangy.
