I so enjoyed my stay at The Wick! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for me. Their restaurant and bar were fantastic! (I had the barbeque sliders. So good!) . I'm looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you!

Only stopped by to see what the hotel was like. Beautifully decorated and friendly staff. Did stop at the bar for a drink. Unfortunately the view from the mostly glass area is of a cement lot and the side of a big building. Maybe a nice mural on that building would improve the view a little. Hudson has many local artists that I'm sure would love the opportunity to share their work on a grand scale.

The Wick is incredible!! This is my 2nd of many stays yet to come. My fist choice in the Hudson area. Since my first visit, Executive Chef Andy has not only updated but elevated the menu to amazing heights. I seriously couldn't choose from the array of amazing sounding dishes. Thankfully Jake the amazing bartender stepped in to give me wonderful recommendations. He also makes a fantastic vodka martini apart from being kind and attentive. Chef Andy delivered each course and was very open to suggestions for any improvement~ none necessary! Very impressed by his enthusiasm for food and his creations. I am told more new menus are to come and even got a sneak peak. The Wick should be on your list of places to go for a fantastic dining experience in this beautiful historic converted candle factory. Not to mention the rooms are luxurious and beyond special compared to any 4 star hotel I've ever visited. Can't wait for my next stay~ no need to look further. Feels like the best possible home away from home. A true gem!

The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms are very clean, appealing and comfy. The staff were super friendly and helpful definitely coming back again. Everthing gets a A+ PLEASE keep up the fantastic job!

Fantastic. From Susan setting up a room of requests with aged pet; to every single staff person we engaged with total welcome; great room; wonderful bed. I cannot thank all of you more especially the chef for their ice cream. A joy. I just wish I could remember everyone's name.

A beautiful and spacious hotel. It was pristine and the staff was exceptionally accommodating. While Hudson provides an exquisite backdrop due to its landscape, the view from the hotel s dining area was a bit disappointing. It s great how close it is to the town. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area, and I would definitely come back for another visit!

The hotel is neat with a cool history. However, parking is not good and lighting outside is not adequate. The hotel is located off an alley, which is odd. My sheets were not cleaned before my arrival. When I let the staff know the next day, the bed was still not stripped when I got back. The housekeeper did the bare minimum in my room. There is a restaurant onsite, but the food is overpriced and not that good. Overall, the rooms are nice and the staff is friendly, but there are some items that need to be addressed.

Rooms were nice enough, water pressure was low for a hotel, staff were kind of nice to us. Not on par with some of the other spg hotels when it comes to service and room quality. I would stay again if in the area, but not so excited about it.

Amazing staff, really nice hotel, it's really boutique, not the fault of the hotel's but the neighborhood is little errie and scary at night. Plus point is that it's not far from all the food places to eat and Amtrak Station. Really good service, and is my go to hotel for business trips.

A pleasant spot. Unpretentious and comfortable. Could use some attention to detail e.g coffee in the room and proper duvet covers. The view of the rail yard is laughably bad but the train whistles are a delight. Very nice and welcoming staff. I'd stay there again, I think.

My husband and I stayed at the Wick this weekend for our friends wedding. The entire hotel staff was extremely friendly and it felt like home there. A big shout out to "Bobby" who was the most kind and welcoming bellhop I have ever met. He gave us excellent recommendations for antiquing and even drove us to the Warehouse. He genuinely cared about us. Thank you Wick for being so kind to us! We will definitely be back.

We do not know where to begin. From the sincere greeting at the lobby entrance to the thoughtful decor of even the flatware, we learned every little detail of our stay at The Wick has a purpose.

Upon taking our first step into the Wick lobby, the view was amazing: the glass-vaulted ceiling allowed in enough sunlight to envelope the dining area, highlighting small banquettes with wooden chessboards tucked away. We had arrived earlier than our check-in time and were tired after a drive from Manhattan, however, the front desk graciously allowed us to check in early. We ran into the manager, Donald, as we were trying to find our room. He assisted us all the way to the room and gave us an introduction to the history of The Wick, pointing out artwork and clearly sharing his passion with us. He was amiable, down-to-earth and all around an incredible person.

The room had similar large windows as in the lobby and the decor was modern, chic with a slight nod to its industrial origins. The bathroom was pristine and the gym had a magnificent mural. Not to mention, our bed was a cozy trap that was difficult to leave. Their support of the local craft beer scene should not be overlooked. The bartender and staff are fun yet respectful, knowledgeable yet humble; they gave us great advice on how to explore their city.

We cannot thank you enough for a beautiful stay at the Wick. We are fans of what you do and will be back for sure!

All the best,
Matt & Amy

Beautiful hotel with a somewhat disappointing experience. Room 306 is located directly over the bar, which can absolutely be heard through the floor. I assume this would have been a much bigger nuisance prior to COVID-19.

In retrospect, the toiletries in our room appear to have been incomplete based on others' photos.

No Air Conditioning.

Room was over 80 degrees on thermostat. Management says technicians will be back tomorrow and that I should sleep with door open with fan running.

Nice place, good food, very friendly staff. 1 star dropped bc they are a bit disorganized and cleaning staff seems new at their job. Not meant as an insult, they just missed a few things in the room.

Something about it...just something about it. Must get 4 stars only. Convenient, yet out of the way. Parking is out back, and there is the train station right there. But still, only 4 stars.

Nice place, location is a bit off the beaten path, but is walking distance to the Amtrak station. Uber is available. A bit strange that a modern clean botique hotel is in an old industrial area. Do your homework on the nightlife/food/etc before booking. Stayed in room 130, ideally the room could have a pocket / standard door added for privacy and sound isolation if you have people staying on the included pull out couch. They do have a shuttle service from the hotel. Overall a nice hotel but I do feel it was priced a bit high for the location.

Beautiful industrial chic boutique hotel in a great location. Very comfortable rooms and great restaurant on site. Location is a huge plus as it is walkable to the train and driving distance to many beautiful Hudson Valley historic sites. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel, except I over heard Tracy (housekeeper) threatening the future/life of an employee? I watched the guy bolt home. I hope me and my family don t get in the middle of another hotel shooting.

What great people at this super place just a quick walk to the main drag. From the maintenance guy in the elevator, to the valet person, to the front desk - everyone was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. We haven't experienced this level of hospitality in awhile. We adored the beds which had the best pillows around and the room could not have been cleaner. We loved it and will definitely stay there for our next visit to Hudson.

This is my go-to place for a night's lodging when in Greene County. Not too far from the county seat (Catskill), very reasonably priced, good beds and room amenities and a perfectly nice breakfast. Room service menu is good (though it could be made available a but later into the evening) and it's generally a good place for an overnight business stay. Don't worry about the proximity of the train station as the place has good soundproofing. You won't hear a thing...

My wife and I stopped to check out The Wick. The lobby was beautiful and the front desk staff were welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable of the history of the building. We hope to stay there in the future to get the full experience.

Great hotel! Will recommended and visit again. Nice hotels rooms, great bathroom, and very nice staff. The rooms seem brand new and include a TV, mini fridge, huge walk in shower, desk, and closet.

If you like EXCELLENT service in a hotel restaurant this is the place for you. If you are lucky, Gianna will be your server because this is a lady who knows the right way to provide service. Marriott, you need to service up and have Gianna travel the world as your Service Trainer! Food was good, coffee was excellent. We were a little disappointed with these huge black bags in the only hallway we had to use to get to the lobby. These bags were on display for our entire stay. If you are a fan of "different" in your hotel, I highly suggest you consider Wick, well worth it. Our room was huge, bathroom amenities were lovely and bed was comfortable. Four stars could easily become five with the removal of the hallway black bags and a little more attention to cleaning details; the glasses provided in the room were dirty as well as the night tables that were very sticky.

Beautiful rooms, wonderful food, and the best customer service! My mom had just had surgery, and they provided a wheel chair for our use. We spent 3 days in the hotel, eating all our meals there. Everything I ate was excellent. Kudos to the chef! The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and all were so friendly. Highly recommend this hotel!!

The Wick is a popular hotel for out of towners, especially city folk. Conveniently located near the Hudson train station and other downtown restuarants and bars, this quaint little spot receives rave reviews from many.

Stayed here on MLK weekend. It s a cute boutique hotel on the far end of Hudson, right by the train station. A bit of a walk to many of the Main Street restaurants and bars, but not too far. The room was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly and the front desk provided our dogs water bowls while we were hanging out in the lobby. The hotel restaurant and bar was pretty good too.

This hotel is super cool! Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and neat little town. Yes the surrounding areas had me a bit concerned at first, but no issues at all, just an older area is all. Can say enough about the friendly staff, I truly endorse this hotel to anyone

Beautifully renovated hotel, converted from an old candle factory. When we stayed in July, we were thrilled to get huge rooms on the other end of the hotel from the lobby and noisy bar festivities (wedding reception). Very quiet on this More

Comfy bed and beautifully decorated! The bathrooms are stunning, the beds are comfy, the staff are so friendly and the grilled cheese was the the best I ve ever had. A cold, rainy weekend in Hudson was completely redeemed by our stay here.

A wonderful place to stay in a unique and historic area. Bed was super comfortable! The rooms are stylish and clean. Staff members are all extremely helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return without hesitation, no need to look into other options.

Beautiful hotel located steps away from Hudson Amtrak station and all the things on Warren St. The king size room was we'll designed, roomy and comfortable. The lounge area is lovely and the coffee provided in the morning is a nice perk, as is free WiFi. Biggest perk, it was the most affordable accommodation in town!

So.... wow, this place is incredibly fancy and beautifully designed. The location is a bit odd, but I guess the proximity to the train station is a plus. It's a little frustrating, as with most businesses like this in Hudson, to have such a place so close to the low-income housing across the way and have those folks who stay here not seem to notice much.

Rooms are clean. Bed is comfortable. Everyone is nice. However, no coffee makers in room, and had a bad experience with the front desk. They charged me twice for my stay, and when informed about the mix up, they gave me horrible advice and didn't seemed too concerned. I'm still trying to get them to charge me only once for my stay.
Will update this review if anything changes, soon.

Nice, recently renovated location. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My room was very nice with tall ceilings and a modern look while retaining the original look and feel of the building. I will definitely stay here when I'm in the area in the future.

My partner and I booked a two-night stay here last week, but we left before the first night. The AC was broken, and the temperature in our room was about 90 degrees. Unacceptable.

The Assistant Front Office Manager informed us via email the morning of our stay that they were having AC problems, but he expected them to be fixed later that day. By the time we checked in, around 3:30, it wasn't fixed, but the front desk associate said she expected it to be fixed within an hour. By about 9 pm, it was still broken. We decided to check out and stay somewhere else instead.

I understand that these issues happen occasionally. However, I would have appreciated more transparency for the actual time frame to complete the repairs. It's misleading to say it would be fixed "later today" the morning of or "within an hour" after checkin, when those were clearly speculative.

As a result, my partner and I had to spend our vacation time canceling the stay here and booking at another place not a great way to start off the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

The Front Office Manager later emailed to make up for the experience, but with so many other options in Hudson, I'm not convinced it's worth the risk to give The Wick another chance.

My Wife and I stayed at The Wick over this past 4th of July and we can honestly say it was the most enjoyable stay that we've ever had at a hotel. The building is a refurbished candle factory which is beautifully decorated with hip and modern decorem. The room we stayed in was spacious, had gorgeous light fixtures, and an extremely comfortable bed. The hotel is spotlessly clean and did not spare on aesthetic beauty and details.

We are so appreciative of their amazing hospitality! Every staff member were very accommodating and genuinely pleasant. The hotel bar and restaurant is quite nice. Very reasonable proximity to all the great bars, restaurants and shops that Warren Street has to offer. If you're taking Amtrack there, is literally right down the street.

I could go on and on but we were so pleased with our stay and very much look forward to staying at the Wick again!

My fiancee and I are getting married near Hudson a...

My fiancee and I are getting married near Hudson and were set on having The Wick serve as our base of operations for the wedding weekend. Since we originally heard of The Wick when it was still under construction in October 2017, we have been very excited about the prospect of a new, large, Starwood hotel in the Hudson area, since there are only two other "large" hotels in the area. So we took a trip up to Hudson to visit with our vendors for the wedding and decided to stay at The Wick to see what it's like now that it's open. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met and we are reconsidering whether we want to stay (or recommend that our guests stay) at The Wick for our wedding.

As a Starwood property, we had very high hopes that the hotel would be in line with all of our other Starwood experiences (we're Gold Preferred members of the SPG program). But as a Starwood property, it didn't meet those expectations for the following reasons:

-Trouble booking the stay in the first place as every weekend between March and September is unavailable on the website. Representatives were unable to verify if that was correct or assist.
-No one attending the valet area when we arrived so we had to find the parking lot and park ourselves and then walk back with our bags up a hill and on an active road without a sidewalk and lots of blind spots.
-We arrived to the hotel at 1 PM. Check-in begins at 3 PM, but I had requested early check in. When we walked up to the front desk, the representative was confused as to why we were attempting to check in, and bluntly stated that check in is at 3 PM, regardless of whether we requested early check in or not.
-We asked if we could leave our bags since we did not see a bell hop at the entrance. The representative appeared confused but then offered to put our bags in the back office which was just strange. We later found out there was a bell hop, but we have no idea why we weren't able to use it before.
-Hotel is 10 minutes from town center, unlike most other hotels in the area. Walking from hotel to town requires going up old steps that were muddy and icy.
-Didn't acknowledge Gold status or offer upgrade (did provide us the welcome amenity, but didn't know much about the specific options).
-The room (which goes for $350 during peak season) was SMALL--smaller than European hotels. It had a bed, a small table, and a bathroom--no desk, dresser, coffee machine, or mini-fridge.
-Unable to take a nap because there was a loud conference occurring across the hall from our room that had spilled out into the hallway right in front of our door.
-Shower pressure was poor and there was no door or curtain on the shower so water got everywhere and cold air stayed in shower.
-No one told us about complimentary continental breakfast at check-in--we only found out by happenstance later.
-Bar countertop is far too high for the bar stools making it uncomfortable.
-Clashing decor
-The view (accentuated by the glass roof bar) is of a factory and a parking lot--nothing to see and ugly.
-Service was cold and slow from when we first arrived through breakfast the next morning. Had to ask for menus after 10 minutes of waiting.

All and all, this stay was short of even mediocre and a serious disappointment from the expectations we had coming in--especially for a Starwood property. The other big disappointment is that I have been asking the hotel since October to provide us with a quote for catering our rehearsal dinner or afterparty for the wedding, and they keep telling me they are working on it and will get back to me. To this day, I still have not received a quote or further communication from the hotel and we have given up waiting for a response and have booked elsewhere. We are willing to give The Wick another try, knowing now that we have to lower our expectations for this property, but this trip has caused us to give serious thought about recommending other hotels for guests to stay at during our wedding, and to prioritize the room blocks we have secured at those hotels instead of the one we have for The Wick.

A terrific boutique hotel inside a refurbished candle factory. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accomodating. It is a bit off the beaten path from the main shopping area and restaurants, but well worth the walk, or their complimentary shuttle. Steps away from Amtrak so it's an easy commute from NYC for a weekend escape.

Had an awesome stay. Took a trip up to Windham mountain and stayed here the night before. Everything was brand new except the building which is this typical block warehouse, renovated into a beautiful hotel with a bar and restaurant. Showed up late so didn't get a chance to try the food. Did have a good cup of coffee on the way out in the early morning. Staff was supper friendly. Room was top notch! Highly recommend staying at the Wick and checking out Hudson.

The decor is beautiful!!!

I booked the wrong weekend and was charged. When I complained I was promised a refund and two months later I haven't been paid. I was an International visitor for a wedding. I had to find another place because they were fully booked the weekend I was supposed to be there for the wedding.

Very cute hotel in the Hudson. Staff are friendly. Food is pretty good at the restaurant. Overall would stay here again, although important to note that sometimes you have to push back on the room you were assigned. You can get put in ones with no windows which is quite awful in comparison to some of the beautiful rooms they have on the second and third floors. Shocked they find a room like that acceptable.
