Hotel Ville-Marie Best Western Review

Reserved 3 bedrooms. Unfortunately oblige to cancel 8 hours before the arrival winter storm conditions on Saturday February 8, 2020. Total refusal the hotel to negotiate hides behind Booking. Charge of the total amount of the 3 rooms on my credit card of $ 555.33. Knowing the cancellation conditions of Booking, I find it deplorable to earn money so easily.

Very cozy and comfortable. The behavior of the staffs is very friendly. Rooms are clean with clean linens.

So apparently My room smells like marijuana and they kept my $300 cash deposit for no reason this place takes advantage of their customers don t go there and watch out for the owner Salem Tohme, he plays dirty and will charge you for things u didn t do . Worsts experience ever !

Rooms are nice, but walls are thin and you can hear the people next door and in the hall very clearly. It makes it difficult to sleep well.

Hotel well located near all points of interest. Hearty American-style breakfast. Close to a metro station. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms even for a family of 4.

Had a great stay at this hotel - was clean, safe, and comfortable. The rooms where nice and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. No matter what question we asked them they were willing to help with our request. I will stay here again on my next visit to Montreal.

I have a very satisfactory experience during my recent stay at this hotel. My room was on the 18th floor. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean. The WiFi was very strong. The staff were all very pleasant.

The rooms are nice and big, the hotel has a bar and a restaurant, in the morning you can choose between a buffet until 11 am or a cafe inside the hotel.
There is private parking with valet service.
For sports enthusiasts, the hotel is next to Mont Royal Park.

I was at this nightmare of a location downtown Montreal. The staff was absolutely horrible they do not take a moment to listen to what I did not like. I can admit as I was not sleeping well I was not in the best mood at checkout. I was given a room that was not clean so I asked for a refund the customer service representative ask me to try another room. After driving for 6 hours I decided to stay. I did tell the representative that this Hotel is not on my to come back list. The valet representative are greedy asking me for 15 to 20 dollars tip for getting my car that I am being charged 25 dollars a day. I wish if my work did not ask me to book a room on our TPE ACCOUNT this Hotel was a 4 stars I would give it a negative double zero star. I was asked to speak with the manager who I thought was unprofessional in so many levels. I explained that the rooms don't smell that good its actually outdated and paying customers are being charged 167 per night no breakfast included. I would never ever suggest anyone who is looking for a good experience or home away from home to stay here. The walls are paper thin. The water pressure was low. I would love to be refunded as my experience was so bad. I feel its the best thing to do. I advised the customer service representative that I would hi ea bsd review she said it can do anything. I laughed and said all reviews count especially Hotel reviews.

No outlet in my cold bathroom, dryer connected to extension cord (is that even legal?). Fuse blew when drying my hair & no way to reset since it was somewhere under the counter. Good cafe off lobby for breakfast.

This is a nice Hotel with recent renovations. The staff is exceptionally nice and efficient. The rooms and accouterments are very good. The restaurant attached to this property is Lebanese; the food is very tasty and the staff is friendly and helpful . When I visit Montreal on business I always try to stay at this hotel. One complaint is that because of it popularity it is not always available. I wish there were more stations available on the TV but the selection is similar in most the hotels in the area.

We ended up here after a disaster AirBnB experience. The hotel was very clean hotel with nicely appointed rooms and bathroom. Concierge staff super helpful and pleasant. Cafe attached to hotel was very good food and nice staff. We didn't have an opportunity to try the hotel restaurant. Would definitely stay here again as it's in a great location to McGill, shopping and the Old Montreal.

Very good quality-price and well situated. Choice of coffee in the room should be reviewed.

The rooms were big and very clean and updated. The only downside was that we had to wait an hour to get in our room after 3 pm!!! And there is no pool. The coffee shop there is great.

I had been looking for a hotel to book in Downtown Montreal, and figured the Ville-Marie Best Western would be the best place to stay. However, based on your bad customer service, I can see that I was wrong. I had a conversation over the phone with a man named Peter who works at the Best Western front desk I planned to stay at. We were setting up the reservation and we went over all of the costs and details such as parking, and breakfast. Once I was sure I understood the price I would be paying for my stay, I confirmed my purchase and was promised a confirmation email. Since I would be arriving at the hotel the next day, I went to bed. The next day I drove from Massachusetts to Canada nonstop only to arrive at the hotel absolutely surprised by the confirmation email given to me. The price was not I agreed to pay for over the phone. Along with this, the parking situation was horrible. The hotel does not have a garage and I am handicapped so I can not walk such a long distance from the lot and the hotel, so I asked for valet parking. Despite my situation, they refused. The parking lot charges twenty-five dollars to go in and out of the lot which is absolutely ridiculous. If I wanted to move my car since it would cost me $100 to move my car in and out four times. This is an absolute rip off. I discussed this with the front desk and they moved me to another lot that charged me twenty-eight dollars to park my car. It is ridiculous that I had to worry about finding out where I can park my car than going to my room to relax after such a long drive.

Nice hotel... they charge $100 deposit on top of the precharge for the hotel room.

Garo was personable and professional, as well as his colleague; she quickly found local directions we needed for next day and printed them out. They made check-in a breeze. Considering the hotel was full and St. Patrick's around the corner, it was quite and we were able to get a good night's sleep. The king size bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. Temperature was easy to adjust and overall cleanliness and comfort was tiptop. The only things that could be improved are the television as well as the shower head (some programs did look better then others, however.) If you're using valet service make sure you take everything you might need from the car as the car is not accessible to patrons once it's parked. Valet service was also very quick and professional considering how busy they were. Location is amazing. Make sure to check out Universel for breakfast, it's only a few minutes down the road. We've been to a couple of best western hotels in the past and so far it's always been a great experience. I have to say they keep performing great. We have enjoyed our stay at best western once again. Thank You!

The Ville Marie was comfortable and pleasant for our stay in Montreal. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we would recommend this place to our friends.

If I could give a zero I would. I checked in to the hotel late Sunday evening after two weeks of vacationing and was given 1 room at check-in. No mention of the 2nd room on my reservation was made to me (and I was not aware I had reserved two rooms - sometimes I do, sometimes I don't). At checkout I was given a bill for one room. A few days later I noticed a charge for a 2nd room (a no-show bill) and when I enquired they said I did not check in. I did in fact check in - they made an error in checking me in. I asked for a refund and they refused saying it was on me to tell them about it. It was ONE reservation how the heck do I do that? Overall hotel was not great and under construction and I will not be returning to ANY Best Western ever again because of this bad experience.

Had a few issues with this place first night our heat didn't work and was blowing cold said they will fix it while we were out all eve but nothing. Then offered us a downgraded room to leave or a heater we said well just take the heater. I thought we would at least keep warm by the bed but at full blast by morning our room was at 15 degrees Celsius not very pleasant. Second day they send someone to fix the heat again which was great and they fixed it but just to come back to the room once again in the afternoon to a hot room with a soaked floor now for some reason it was leaking and sucked into the carpet right beside the washroom door. We were offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience of no heat and soaked carpets not dealt with well at all we shall see if they ever want us back or care about there customers hotel was nice to stay at Besides these issues just wish it was better dealt with after two days of problems

The hotel is clean and cozy. My room had a king-sized bed and lots of space. The bed was comfortable, huge, and warm. The bathroom was clean and the shower hot. Overall it was pleasent, I would come again.

CONVENIENCES: It was a nice treat to have a coffee house right next to the main lobby accessible from inside the hotel. The coffee was outstanding.
LOCATION: Perfect for anyone looking to take advantage of the city's cultural attractions. Good restaurants are close by. The Peel Metro Station is a block away.

Stay was great because we had the best room service we could ask for!! Anyone who stays there should ask about Angel and hope he is with you! Was slightly irritated with our room keys every time we left our keys some how did not work and we were always getting new ones.

Hotel has a nice updated lobby and big rooms but the sheets on our bed were so worn that they had a rough texture with lint balls, and all the pillows in the room were all too thick for all three of us staying in the room.

Good location and rates. Rooms are clean and modern. Service is, however, ridiculously slow and sub standard. Wait staff that forgets to bring cutlery; front desk staff who cannot answer obvious questions; doormen who do not open doors for people weighed down by several pieces of luggage....

I found the hotel to be very comfortable and the people very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was close to a lot of things and easy to walk.

The one night stay there during our Canada group trip was okay. But I think the breakfast was very developable !? Montreal itself should not be visited in summer ....

Nice place, clean and central. Right beside McGill University, book stores, restaurants. Short walk the the Mountain. Decent gym. Very nice, helpful staff. Attached to nice cafe with good coffee. Some rooms can suffer from water pipe noises; most don't though. I recommend it.
