Great staff and location. HOWEVER, my room's AC unit did not work... and the walls are so thin....
Could've changed room but, we thought the ac unit was warming up and trusted the quality of Best Western's name.

After my car broke down they refused to give me a refund

Terrible Room Service Restaurant. It was overpriced, my grapes were badly bruised and dirty in my fruit salad, they didn't give me the juice I ordered, not enough Maple Syrup with my French Toast. Definitely go out for breakfast.
But very clean, nice room. Would recommend!

They charge your credit card for smell of marijuana and it's legal?????? when u dont smoke in there hotel and go outside should of know they were sketchy

There was a group of people yelling through the halls, I called the front desk around 3:15 am and they said they were aware of it and dealing with it but by 4 they hadn't sent anyone to deal with it, I eventually fell asleep with my head between two pillows to drown out the sound. While the room was cozy and clean and the bed very comfortable, the inaction of management ruined the experience, and I had to cancel plans the next day to catch up on sleep.

Nothing special... service was normal and not organized at all! Construction was awful!

The people there speak French and English such is very helpful. The rooms come with a mini fridge, a big closet, chairs, a bathroom, a safe inside the closet to put all if your valuables, a desk, a tv, and a little coffee maker. The do offer to help you with your luggage. So I give this a five star.

Although difficult to get to with the construction on Sherbrooke, it was a very good stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, and it is easy to walk throughout downtown Montreal. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and quiet.

Good hotel that is very centrally located. The Peel metro station is within walking distance. We walked about 15 minutes to Dorchester Square (tourist information).
The rooms are neat and clean. Free WiFi in the room too.

They appeared very accommodating. Our move to this hotel was unexpected after we had a sleepless night at a Best Western very nearby. This hotel was able to accommodate us right away.

I travel a lot for business and usually stay in higher end hotels but somehow ended up here on this particular trip. It's certainly missing the aesthetic of the higher end hotels I'm used to but not the Amenities or comfort. For what it is it's very decent. Super clean and newish. The bed's got a foam mattress, which was actually my only problem. It was fine for one night and likely comfortable for most people, but for me, not so much. That is something not exclusive to this hotel so I won't penalize them for it. I would even stay here again.

To Enjoy Montreal, this unique setting near McGill University and the Art Center is the place to stay. Great Staff with a peaceful glass covered cafe . Near transportation hubs to enjoy the City. Clean, updated, and Great Staff.

Had a good stay at hotel. Peter at check in was friendly and conseriege desk were really helpful. Check out they were ok but not as friendly as check in. I was going to pay by debit and both people at desk very flatly said " No. We dont use debit".

Dinner at the Parmiage restaurant was OK but not great. Ordered linguine got spagetti. Sauce was warmed but not hot. However, being in Montreal there were LOTS of great places to eat at.
Over all, I would stay again.

Rooms are well maintained. Very much in the heart of downtown and near McGill University.

Only thing is, they served same menu for breakfast.

Old, worn, sad hotel which is not worth the money!! So many things wrong!!
A/C not working but instead seemed to humidify the room, although hallways are cool maintenance claimed they fixed it Not! Couldn't sleep due to this. Tried opening window but Can only open window a 2 inch crack due to a safety stopper they have. Rediculous!!
Tried to close drapes and they fell to the floor!! Then saw that to block light, is a blind on a roller. It went down but would not go back up.
Room seemed clean but older furnishings and rough around the edges...
Shower pressure good, but one of the towels was thin & worn, and should have been replaced a long time ago. Also found a big glob of maid hair on the 2nd towel - Gross!
Wanted to fill my water bottle in fitness center but they close it at 9pm or 10pm weird. Girl @ front desk suggested I fill it with my bathroom tap water.
Just a sad place to stay! I checked out early and went to better hotel.

Not recommended at all. Not only guests having difficult time to enter the hotel due to construction all over the city, the hotel itself are not soundproof. I'm at the high floor and still can hear traffic outside. Noise from the hallway will keep you awake at night. Plus they don't notify guests that they're having their own in-hotel renovations, it creates horrible ruckus into the room. Their air conditioning not cool at all, even though it turned on to the max. Room was not cleaned when I arrived, I found crumbs and hairband by the window. In 2019, this hotel still uses bar soap which is not hygienic. The toilet paper poorly placed 3 feet from the seat. Also letting you know the already high room rate does not come with free breakfast, like normal hotels. The only two stars I gave to this rating just because my stayed was paid for the company. But never again I will stay in this hotel or recommend others.

Refusing to cancel or even change the date of a reservation during a global pandemic is asking people, like me, to travel over a closed border and bring an infectious disease with me. Profits over lives!

Lovely hotel located next to McGill campus. Perfect location for families travelling for convocation ceremonies or other McGill university occaisons.

Hair dryer didn't work and took 4 reminders and over 24hrs for a fix. Construction around the property was extensive and ruined shoes and luggage when we were outside.

Great value for the money. Downtown location close to everything. Will add this hotel to my list of places to stay while in Montreal.

Very nice and spacious rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Traffic in Montreal is a nightmare but walking, public transportation makes exploring easy. Cabs difficult to get.

The Best Western Ville-Marie was very nice. The room I stayed in was very clean and quiet large as well. Check in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable. I was happy to have a small fridge as well to put some drinks in for the next morning. The location of the hotel is great. It's in the middle of everything and there are plenty of places to go for food or shopping. I would definitely recommend anyone stay here if they come to Montreal.

Spacious room. Bathroom quite small. In-room safe. Non-working shower head solved well.

The Location of the hotel is great. Great for business and great for leisure.
Rooms are soon ready for updating, and parking is not easy. But all in all a good hotel with clean rooms.

I guess its true, you get what you pay for. Hotel lobby is nice and staff is friendly but other than that i would strongly recommend you avoid this hotel. The walls are very thin and you hear ppl running around and slamming doors constantly. I don't know why they even spent money on do not disturb signs, as we had ours up every day when we were in and they woke us up knocking on the door for room service the first day and went as far as calling the room on day three. If we have to come to Montreal again we will spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!

But lord this hotel is not soundproof, you can hear everything that goes on the floor. I can confirm that this is not a place to rest. There was a group of young people a bit noisy and I was sure they were in front of my room, so I opened my door asking them to lower their tone but they were at the other end of the corridor. You must soundproof

I am a frequent traveller and this is not a normal Best Western. The rooms are much nicer: See my pictures, wasn't a huge room but perfect design. Big TV, great desk for working and my BIG must for hotels - lots of plugs for charging devices! They get big points for plugs near the bed.

Really loved the design of the bathroom and very big towels (I'm a big guy so this is a bonus).

Fridge (big one) in the room also quite a plus.

They don't have a huge lobby but they have this really warm nice sitting room on the main floor. Reading by a fireplace was nice.

Best of all is the location, downtown, near to everything. I walked 10 mins from the $10 airport bus.

Unbeatable price, like a full star higher than what I paid and expected. Lots of hotels in this area if you're looking for value, this is it.

The decor of the rooms is modern and neat. Best Western worthy of the name, we know what to expect. Very light breakfast. Not much. A little bread, eggs, cereals and sausages. No pancakes or muffin or other candy. Canned coffee as usual in hotels in Canada.
The service at the restaurant very long. Medium dishes but the decor is nice.

Very satisfied with this property, especially considering all the events that were going on in town at the same time and the difficulty in finding accommodations. Very conveniently located (easy walks to nice restaurants and shopping as well as seeing the sights)...very clean...helpful/friendly staff.

Yes, it is a bit dated. But the rooms are super clean and the staff A1. For the price vs location it is the best deal around. I am here on business and do not regret one minute booking here instead of a more costly establishment near work. Will definitely book here again no questions.

Bilingual staff was a blessing. Though I studied French for five continuous years, that was many years ago and it's very rusty. Thankfully, the staff didn't subject either themselves or me to the embarrassment of my poor verbal skills (lol).
The hotel lobby is incredible; and while the sidewalk was being replaced with granite during my stay, the construction crews made my safety and daily commute both safe and a priority. The hotel cafe was clean and well-staffed, food and service excellent. The rooms were additionally very clean and the housekeeping staff were very polite and friendly.
I will recommend this hotel time again.

Not the best room quality or service, but is a good location close to McGill

Was looking forward to spend a night last Saturday with my husband but had to cancel the morning of due to a death in our family. Was pretty discusted when I saw today that they charged me for the room anyways even after I had explained to the front desk clerk on the phone that considering the situation, we would appreciate an exception not to charge us and that we would reserve again at a later date. Now I will be booking our new week end getaway with a different hotel for sure !

Great place to stay, I suggest the small Cafe inside the hotel for breakfast over the hotel own restaurant.

One night stay here, situated in a great area, happy smiling staff although there were 49 in our party, staff were very helpful and polite, large bedrooms , we had 2 king size beds , safe, large TV and free WiFi.

Good hotel, under construction so a few inconveniences. Front desk was great. The cleaning staff needed to be a little more diligent, ie hanging / re-rolling towels etc, emptying garbage. Working exercise equipment - a definite plus (rare these days), internet good - which is important for business.

Beautiful hotel downtown Montreal. Great location which gives you easy access to large selections of restaurants, pubs, cultural museums, and so one. Well connected to an efficient and safe public transportation: bus and subway.
