Hotel Sheraton Salobre Golf, Resort & Spa Review

Fantastic golf course, new course is a bit tricky but definatly recommend playing both courses

Stayed here over the Xmas period
1) Check in - Complementary glass of bubbly, very efficient at checking in, everything was explained in great detail. cases took to the room straight away, did ask for some extra coat hangers, but they never arrived, not a major issue.
2) Rooms - We over looked the golf course which was lovely 8th floor, lovely big bed very comfy, lovely linen, spotless , bathroom lovely , plenty of clean , large towels. plenty of bottles of water left in your room every day.
3) We had half board , breakfast, bubbly or orange juice on arrival a very nice touch, plenty of choice hot, cold, freshly made egg station, freshly made smoothies ,you will not go hungry,
Evening meal - again plenty of choice, service superb, tables cleared away very quickly, and very attentive staff.
Pool areas - plenty of them it was just so windy when we were they so not able to sit out in it as much as we would have liked to, The pool on the 11th floor is lovely, the views are amazing but sadly the bar area lets it down considering it is adults only it could be a lot better, nicer seats, nicer tables , nicer bar. I know we went in the winter and I am sure it is probably a lot better in the summer buts it a shame when you have such a asset and it is not used. In the evenings they could do would lovely patio heaters, comfy seats, cocktails and it would be buzzing .
Spa - You get 1 free 3 hour session, which includes, steam , sauna, ice bath, outside pool, the spa is spotless, staff are very attentive, changing grooms really nice and clean. I think as a hotel guest the cost could be reduced slightly if you wish to go in again. Costs of the treatments are about the same as the UK.
We used the free shuttle bus form the hotel into the beach/town , very well organised., just ensure that you get both tickets for the return journey as well.
We walked along the beach ( please note that parts are nudists) and easily seen, just in case you have children or are easily offended.
Plenty of bars, shops , chemist, clinic, .
We went back to the drop off point and used the pool area, and loungers, it was a little sun trap, and again the staff were superb, clean towels issued and nice to chill out.
We ate in the Al Carte restaurant on evening residents on half board get a 50% discount , highly recommend, food amazing, service superb, lovely atmosphere.
We walked to the local Bisto which is a good 25min walk, but so worth it, amazing views, amazing, food, amazing service, highly recommend.
4) Hotel entertainment , needs to be better, by 21.45 the bars are almost empty for a large hotel, there needs to be something else going on, people tend to be playing cards, reading, but could be so much better.
5) Plenty of exercise classes going on throughout the day, but no one comes up to pressure into attending, you are given a class time table when you check in .
6) Check out - cases collected very quickly, bill 100% correct, no issues.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.

It is located on the mountain in a quiet place overlooking the golf course. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The staff attentions are very good Both the buffet breakfast and dinner are varied and with everything you want and the bars very nice In general, a highly recommended hotel

Very enjoyable stay. Hotel is a little out of the way. Those who prefer peace and a dignified ambience will feel at home here. To explore the island, it is worth renting a rental car at the airport.
Hotel, rooms, cleanliness, staff according to the standard good. Hotel is perfectly equipped for golfers, bikers.
Prices are also good according to the performance.
All in all, the hotel and the location are worth the trip.

Woah. This might be the nicest hotel I've stayed at. The views from your room the hotel offers of the golf course are breathtaking. The sunset bar at the top of the hill offers even more amazing vistas of the other side of the island. The hotel is spread out so it can be quite confusing to navigate, and there is no way of getting around the going up some stairs even with all the elevators. The buffet is one of the best buffets I've ever had, but at around 35 you for sure pay for it. But everything is made in front of you and you also get a great variety.

It is a divine hotel and it is in a spectacular place. I want to come back!

Great view, and good interiour. The outside seating could be better. It s comfortable, but hardly shade or heating for (colder) evenings. But that s just a minor point of improvement. All by all, it s a quality place to visit for a drink, stay a night of play a game of golf

Nice pool area. Good restaurants. Here you can sign up for the golf course and borrow golfcars. A small golf shop leads the hotel as well. The staff is very friendly and happy to help. You have a beautiful view over the golf course and the sea.

Absolutely awesome hotel. Beautiful views from the balcony of the mountains and golf course plus a sea view from our room. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent everyday. Staff extremely courteous and friendly. Room was excellent and very clean. Will definitely return.

We are here for the fourth time - that probably says it all. This time we had booked a somewhat stupid variant through TUI, which is not offered by the hotel itself. But Angela from the front desk had her mind set on making us happy ... and she found a good solution!
The pools, the grounds, the food, the cleanliness and the service leave nothing to be desired.
Sometimes you can tell that the hotel is fully booked (e.g. queue in front of the dining room), but that translates into little things at best.

The price / performance ratio is right because you get a lot on offer and the entire staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very clean, great staff, perfect food.
1 star deduction for the minibar, which you unfortunately can not use (refill), as this digital with sensor is checked, and you still have to pay the full price.
So be careful when using the refrigerator.
Otherwise everything was great

I keep repeating, would be appreciated to leave room in the refrigerator in the room, to keep cold creams, medicines and some other things, said refrigerator is a vending machine. It's the only downside, to put something. Since the rest (staff and facilities) all of 10

A luxury hotel with unparalleled attention. The impeccable staff. After checking out I asked him somewhere to leave our bags because we were leaving at 8:00 pm and they had the details of leaving us the room until that time and enjoying the facilities and the spa. The rest just perfect.

Excellent peaceful getaway from it all. The current pound/euro rate makes things a little pricey, but still well worth it.

Superb hotel very quiet and full of plants everywhere. All employees are smiling, welcoming and always available. The food is excellent and very varied.
Frankly a place to absolutely recommend.

This hotel is superb in every way. Their staff & service are excellent & their approach to detail is something we have never experienced before even after travelling around the world and staying in many 4/5 star hotels. Would highly recommend this hotel for it's location, food, service and environmentally sound techniques.

My second day here and I am loving it. The service is phenominal and overall hotel look and quality is awesome! Highly recommended as it is different to other parts of Gran Canaria.

Quiet, architecturally exceptional hotel complex. Large rooms, many open spaces. Top offers in the restaurant, trained staff. Super leisure activities: golf, tennis, swimming, bicycles, beautiful sunbathing. Definitely real 5 stars.

Not a highlight

The price is high, the level is rather low.

Food is borderline; you get full, but it's not really good. In the evening there is only a buffet and a restaurant a la carte - cuisin. The latter was so bad we only visited it once. Any restaurant on the beach is better.
At the buffet there is always 90% the same. Different topics are more like marketing. Some of the food from the previous day is used.
The staff is friendly, but actually speaks no English. There is only sparse information about the few wines on the menu.
The other restaurants are either closed or just for a snack.
The bar was the worst of them all. Zero atmosphere, drinks only with syrup and cheap alcohol.

The restaurant is very open and therefore sometimes very drafty and cold. Many sat with thick jackets at dinner. One day it was raining heavily, water ran into the restaurant in many places.

The rooms are ok. On the positive side, it's quiet. Negative that the hotel is in the shade all day. Only at level 11 there is sun, but also strong wind, which makes it very cold. The pool should be infinity. With a grid in front of it and sun loungers, there is little left of the view. Extremely unclever.

The golf course is ok, service could be better. The new course is more of a lunar landscape from hole 14. You don't see a marshal. Usually nothing works for less than five hours on both courses. The course is not well suited for high or medium handicaps. A cheek is double the price for a cart when used by two people. The driving rank is a bit small. Here, too, you have to pay for the balls yourself.

Spectacular hotel The pools, the Balinese beds, the perfect room. It is not close to the beach but there is a transfer to the beach that leaves you in a chalecito next to the beach where you get a towel and there is a pool or showers while you wait for the bus back. The food very good.

Hotel that has exceeded the expectations created. The attention given by all the staff has been exceptional at all times (restaurant, room, reception, etc). The views are spectacular, the pools very clean, a lot of tranquility and comfort in the bed. Place where to achieve the desired relaxation. I recommend it, without a doubt.

Forgive me, I was wrong to rate with only one star, I give you five, thank you.

The service in general is very good, all the employees are very kind, friendly and attentive, they work 100% and they achieve it. I came with my baby for 4 months and they made all the meals for her (vegetable purees) you only had to request it and in all the meals they had their puree. Problems: the bed was not as comfortable as it could be for a hotel of this type. I paid full board and the food was not very good, it was only correct, breakfasts and dinners if they were good xq there was a lot to choose from. Accesses to the disabled are basically nil, we know it because my daughter's cart had to be lifted constantly to go to the pools and bars, with a baby cart can be done but with an impossible wheelchair x what that part they do not have it covered and if they have it they did not inform me at any time and more than once the employees helped me to go down or up steps. We also took our puppy and they gave me a bed and plates for water and food, as well as bags. For my part, we had a great time in the family pools with our baby and the cocktails are excellent. It has many entertainment options for both children and adults without having to move the car because they have transfers to the beaches and several excursions.

Expectacular ...... everything perfect ..... treatment .... facilities .... etc etc. I will return.

The hotel has a beautiful view and dream location. It is remote but that does not matter at all. The rooms are tidy and well equipped. The golf course is not really part of the hotel. Even if it was a 5 star hotel, I personally miss here and there on the authorization for this 5 star. The food is good but not varied, it comes again and again the same only on the table, the service is not available you get nothing to drink. There are many little things that I personally missed the 5 star. All in all, a nice holiday in this hotel.

My wife daugther and I enjoyed the time being very much. It was quite and yet entertaining. The room was very well equiped and very clean. The hotel service/ staff, in general were very professional and fast, when it came for request. The view from your room was unforgettable. Both breakfast and dinner were great. Many varities were served and there was a theme at each evening, which we always were looking forward to it. A compliment to their cook and staff especially Dayan Ramos, Taziane and Alba Ubani, great job. If we would have the opportunity, we would without no doubts book the same hotel. Many thanks for the marvelous time we had spend there.

A fantastic hotel, also with some wow! Effect, such as its swimming pools on several levels or above all, its beach villa (with changing rooms, showers ... and swimming pool, although I don't know why these days I was not in functioning).
We have repeated stay and will do it again.

Nice Hotel, bar lacks any atmosphere, nothing goes on in an evening or would rate higher. Staff are superb, helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble. Taxi service is good locally and very reasonably priced, food in particular breakfast is world class, every choice you can imagine Just sort the bar out

Excellent location, service and food. Changed from the Sheraton to Salobre when we were there and asked for feedback on our last breakfast, then genuinely wanted to know. In addition to the food, service and food, the bar prices are reasonable for an hotel when it has a captive audience, there is no other place to go. There is a shuttle into town every hour, balcony was large and comfy beds.

I would say though the air con wasn't cool enough, the pillows on the rattan balcony furniture was PVC so made you sweat and the Spa and non buffet dining room were being renovated.

Superb hotel, rooms are spacious and comfortable - yet very quiet, regardless of proximity to other guests. Food is amazing and the choice is wide and varied. Pools are plentiful, with the 11th floor being adults only. Staff are courteous, engaging and nothing is too much trouble. Really an amazing hotel, and not far from Maspalomas, Melonares, Peurto Rico and Peurto Mogan either.
