Hotel Sheraton Salobre Golf, Resort & Spa Review

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Salobre. We appreciated the multiple places to relax and the tranquility of the place with its multiple swimming pools!
The breakfast and dinner are excellent !! And the staff are really lovely and go out of their way to satisfy the customer.
The room is very comfortable and the must we had a terrace which overlooked the pool!

Regarding the points that disappointed us a bit:
In terms of cleaning very good except that we did not have cotton .. sometimes forgotten the bath mat, or otherwise another day of shower gel.
the deckchairs are not very comfortable and will need to be changed (you can feel the metal bar on the back)
The bar on the 1st floor is good but the terrace overlooks the passage of customers to go to their rooms so a lot of coming and going before your eyes, moreover the wine list deserves to be a little more supplied with international wines, cocktails proposed are a bit simple.
Finally, room service is non-existent since no card is in the room, this point was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel.
Also pay attention to the mini bar which is automated if you touch a package for example to read the composition and put it back we will charge you!

Beautifully located luxury hotel, car rental recommended. Located 8 km from Maspalomes. So you want entertainment and bustle .... you're there!

Great location for those who do not like the chaos, a few km away from the coast, quiet, high quality services, hearty food, good and varied, friendly efficient staff, does not disappoint ...

The best hotel I've been to and at a very good price for a deal we took.
The best: the bathroom in the room.
The worst: the price of water in the house itself.
The hotel people very nice and close (aunq in the case of one of the hotel's chefs - low, dark, with black uniformity and big hat - maybe even too much).

Very nice hotel but a little bit isolated, you need a car there. Shuttle bus is offered.

The hotel is amazing with 7 pools and a gym. The food is fabulous with places to order food fresh and buffet style dining as well. There is also a minibus that takes you down to the beach for free. I have enjoyed my 3 stays here very very much.

Simply extra! The views are magnificent, the pools well maintained, the services very pleasant, the activities offered are numerous and at fair prices. Breakfast and dinner are all-you-can-eat buffets and really good. The golf is magnificent. I will stop there, I will write pages ...

This hotel is a marvel, with smiling and friendly staff, very comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean hotel, excellent food and breathtaking taste and beauty in decor and furnishings.

The location of the place is set back from the coast, in height, and this gives you a rare calm, for a high quality rest.

Our stay is not over yet but I wanted to thank you, we could not expect better than the service and the place offered.

Very quiet and quiet, ideal to rest, the urbanizations are nice and the villas highly recommended, always good weather.

Our vacation was an absolute dream! The hotel is off the beaten track and elevated on the mountain which gives it a beautiful view. The area is huge, well maintained and clean. There are several restaurants and pools on different levels, so guests are very well distributed throughout the hotel. The food is fresh, varied and varied, so you can always look forward to something new. In the evening there is often live music, so you can comfortably end the evening at the bar. Particularly noteworthy, however, is the extremely friendly staff. I have rarely experienced such a great and friendly team, really commendable! Overall highly recommended and we will certainly come back.

An excellent hotel in the hills about 10k from Maspalomas. Two golf courses on site, gym, spa, seven pools, hourly shuttle to Maspalomas beach and many other good things. Friendly, most welcoming and helpful hotel staff I have ever come across.

Good hotel with a few drawbacks

Several pools on different levels and enough pool chairs

Free wifi in many areas of the hotel

Dislike:
The food is okay - but it is far from being a 5-star level: unspectacular, sometimes loveless, sometimes little to no variety e.g. at the cheese buffet
The shuttle bus only runs every hour and is often fully booked
Drinks expensive (0.5l beer - 5.40 EUR; Sangria 0.5l - 9.20 EUR)
Food expensive (e.g. hamburger with fries 14, - EUR)
Hotel is a bit out of the way with no shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance; without a rental car you have to rely on a taxi
a large part of the staff does not understand German
At least one pool could be heated
In the restaurant Gofio you can smoke on the terrace - it is annoying when eating

Taxi ride to Playa del Ingles: approx. EUR 15 each way
A supermarket (SPAR) is 1.3 km away and is located in the parking lot at the entrance to the resort - about a 20-minute walk

It is a hotel for those who seek tranquility and good treatment. The excellent staff, the food of good quality but little variety, very cozy and with good views that if a little boring .... I find it wrong to charge 3.50 euros a small bottle and 8 euros for a cocktail at the pool bar and bad information on the web since the spa and Balinese beds are for a fee, which also seems to me wrong that is not included with the prices charged per night and hotel cache ..... everything else is great .. ..I recommend it

I never understood people who travel and spent most of their time at the hotel until I stayed here. One of the best hotel I have ever been and so far the best I have seen in the Canary Islands.
Nothing I can complain, the hotel is well located huge oasis, heaven for golf players, honey mooners, couples, families, youngs and olds of every ages.
I already miss its food so badly and I cannot wait to be back!

Nice hotel and the buffet food was exceptional. Only let down was the price which was pretty expensive.

It is not worth this price. Excellent service and very attentive and friendly staff. the food is not from a 5 star hotel and the half board does not include drinks. a bottle of half a liter of water is worth 3.5 euros. They think that with 250 euros a night and only dinner, half a liter of mineral water worth 3.5 e? the food is a 3 star hotel in the middle of August in hotels.

Beautiful hotel breakfasts are at tops le restaurant "Sidecar" is a marvel, very good wines, the service is worthy of the best French gastronomic restaurants. A big congratulations to the Spanish cuisine regains the level with this kind of restaurant still bravo the team.

Almost one of my top 10 hotels. Staff is the best! All super nice and kind! And not just superficial and nice because they have to be. It comes from their heart.

For me it remains one of the best hotels in Gran Canaria. Great service, comfortable rooms, super friendly staff. For those who love golf I suggest taking lessons from the Argentine master. The property has two magnificent fields.

From the sunset pool you have a gigantic view of the surroundings to the Atlantic and a beautiful sunrise.

My first approach to Gran Canaria was definitely amazing thanks to Salobre Hotel. I decided to stay in this hotel for 3 nights and I couldn t be more happy about my choice. Everything was perfect! The hotel is really huge; there are many pools and golf camps and there is a secret pool too, which is so hard to find (that s why they call it secret )!
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
But the best part of our stay was the food. We had an half board pension and we enjoyed a lot the breakfast and the dinner buffet. The food quality was perfect and we had a big choice of different dishes. Every day we could ask for a fresh omelette or crepes for breakfast, or for a plate of hot meat or fish for dinner.
The staff was very helpful and nice, available for every request and always smiling.
At the check out we were so sad to go, that s why we can t wait to be back again soon.

How 5 stars leave a lot to be desired. The Spa is pathetic because the pool it has is cold water ... so in winter it's better not to get close. The maintenance of the facilities is terrible. On the contrary the attention of the staff is great and cordial.

I would add more light to the corridors at night, you have to take the flashlight of the mobile phone or you'll hit it .....
It would also reduce the height of the dead guards, they are bestial

Nothing worked in our room. The air con was making a noise and water was dropping from it, tv didn't show any channels, and the ice machine by the lift wasn't giving any ice. There was no extra bed for our son in the room. It took 2 phone calls and couple of hours to get the bed eventually. It arrived around 10pm. The air-con was also fixed at the same time by very friendly maintenance guy. Overall, the hotel is very nice, rooms are nice, food is good and we got a contemporary bottle of wine. However, if you don't play golf then there is nothing to do. Your kids will get bored very quickly.
