This is a great hotel. A bit pricey but it is very comfortable. It is also bustling during the day. They have a very unique layout that was hard to navigate at first. The shower is incredible.

Great place to have a brunch / lunch, inside or in the garden. There are heaters to keep it warm and sometimes live (jazz) performances. The hotel building is made from beautifully connecting premises on the canals, and the inside garden is utilized in an excellent manner.

Lot of memories here ... :-) always nice to be back. The atmosphere is a little gone but the headcount has increased what a lot of staff I saw today. Stopped at the Pause cafe. Excellent macrons but cappuccino not too good, wel presented though. Staff quick, friendly.

Great place for a lunch outdoors! In the heart of Amsterdam, the inside garden is an oasis of silence. Good coffee and great ceasar salad is served. Good and friendly service. International orientated staff.

The Jordaan district is the place to stay in Amsterdam, and the Pulitzer makes it a beautiful world class experience. The hotel was built over many years by gutting and integrating several contiguous old row houses. The result is a combination of old and new, beautiful and practical, quiet yet centrally located, with outstanding service and wonderful food. Highly recommended.

Their reputation exists for a reason without a doubt. Possibly the best hotel in the whole of Amsterdam. Character is not in short supply, neither is the service and the location could not be more idyllic. It s in the heart of the Jordaan. The room service and drinks could have been better, but perhaps they will improve upon it next time.

Beautifully laid out, great location, upscale rooms and decor. Tour groups often stay here so can be crowded at times and hard to negotiate changing rooms. Only somewhat handicapped accessible and not good for those with mobility issues.

Having traveled Euro, USA and Asia for business and leisure, it's rare that this jet lagged workhorse gets excited about staying in a hotel, but this so cool set of houses turned into campus style hotel, is SO COOL, and SO FRIENDLY, that it's the must stay place for central Amsterdam. The drive up was super smooth, check in was immediate, and the room is quaint yet modern. The shower very nice. The bed amazingly comfortable, too comfy for a travel weary fool like me.
The concierge have all been amazing helps, just too damn good.
Service in the restaurant and courtyard are the best I've ever experienced. You can be so remote in these spaces, yet they will not forget you, and circle around you at just the right frequency.
Highly recommended... just stay here.

We were excited to stay in Hotel Pulitzer for our only night in Amsterdam by ourselves upon the return from a garden tour in Germany that day. We booked our night many weeks in advance hoping to enjoy ONE evening there. After booking our reservation, the tour guide told us that we would not be arriving until the morning because of the distance traveling that day. We were very disappointed and I called to cancel the reservation and received a cancellation number. Unfortunately, after paying over $400 US dollars, they would not return our money when we cancelled and didn't stay there at all. Don't take the chance with your reservation because they keep your money!!! ALL OF IT!

One of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in while on business. Every little thing is thought through, from slippers to robes to coffee, etc.. Situated right in the center of the city. Great bar, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and reasonably priced... Not much else to ask for. Talk to concierge for great restaurant recommendations.
