Hotel Porto Palácio Review

Nice modern hotel. We had a corner suite which was spacious. Good service. NIce VIP lounge on top level.

Very disappointed. In my opinion this is not a 5 star hotel. I ve stayed in 4 star hotels in Porto that are way much better.

Very small lobby with a carpet horribly stained and worst of all they offer plastic cups near the jar of water. Not so good for the environment.

When I made the reservation online, I asked for a king size bed and they gave us 2 separate beds. Also not so good for a married couple.

Check-out day - The cleaning lady woke us up at 9:00, entering the room and finding us in bed! Why would they want to clean a room at 9:00 am when the checkout is at 12:00?? Doesn t make sense at all and shows lack of organization.

Breakfast - Poor decoration, small space and the food was mediocre. The eggs were done most certainly by a person that doesn t even know how to cook!
We also didn t feel well after eating.

I forgot my toothbrush at home but thought that as this is a 5 star hotel they will have that in the bathroom. I was wrong, no travel toothbrush.

The only positive thing is that the room is great and they put us on the 18th floor which was nice.

I m sorry to say that I won t be booking this hotel in the future.

Superb hotel, modern and welcoming. Parking is less pleasant surprise.

Right in the heart of the shopping area. Parking wifi and rooms with views. Was happy with the service. You must visit Porto!

Wonderful service and willingness of all staff to help. Interior design was roomy, yet modern and dynamic and some great ideas... Rooms were clean and great and the view from the rooftop bar is to die for and definitely a must to watch the sun go down...

The hotel is undergoing modernization works which we needed. I did not enjoy the lunch served. The soup was a sample, in the main course came the dried beef though tasty and the dessert creamed milk accompanied with fruit did not like.

The hotel is worth its 5 stars. The only small uncertainties about the opening times for bars, restaurants and pool / spa during the turn of the year were ugly!

Otherwise the staff is very friendly, the rooms and wellness area clean!

In terms of food, it is best to go to the Portobeer restaurant next door, which is part of the hotel. I have already made a comment on this. The breakfast itself was delicious!

Tha river is a good 15 min drive but since the traffic is not an issue here, one should not mind the distance

Although the hotel has excellent facilities and most of the staff are well trained, I can not remain indifferent to the comments of a receptionist who tells me when I ask if I can go to the rooftop to work while I wait for the check-in time , "may, but breakfast is a little expensive."
Nothing to point out from the other staff, quite the contrary: very friendly and adequate.

Far from the action. Plain rooms. But very well appointed.

We went to a Christmas dinner. Very spacious and comfortable lounge, plus a buffet note 10.

One disappointment, no fruit of the season, fresh only imported fruit

This hotel needs a renovation or a reevaluation.
To start I booked the room through the hotel's website and everything went perfectly until I received an email after a few days reporting that it was canceled due to the credit card not being valid. (Before that they sent an email that went to spam for me to provide the data again, they could have called the number that was provided during the reservation and not just cancel the reservation because they didn't get a reply by email) when I see the e-mail on sunday contacts the hotel and they say that they cannot see anything related to the reservation as the reservations department only opens at 9 am on monday. On Monday, I give you the same data again and it works, I arrive at the hotel and say that I have two rooms reserved. (Solved without problems) but it is still an unpleasant moment.
The room, as you can see from the photos, mattress without cover, sheet torn, floor in very bad condition, (5 stars out of 10).
Spa, they say it has a swimming pool and a free jacuzzi at -2 (but they do not highlight that it is from the gym and not from the hotel) and that it has the hotel spa for you to enjoy at an additional cost (they do not mention that it also has a pool and jacuzzi) o that comes in the photos is the fee. I wouldn't mind paying if they informed me more about this issue, but since they indicate that as well as a hotel service that takes responsibility for the same, old-fashioned, cold jacuzi, sunbeds that you don't even want to touch.
Parking (10 euros from 20h-10h or 15 euros daily, which is a little expensive but admitted in a 5-star hotel).
As for the hotel, I can barely justify 4 stars the more 5 and believe me I have a wide range of comparison. I advise you to see better the offer that the city offers.

We went for Christmas Eve dinner, it was a different dinner but a great experience. Your staff is exceedingly friendly. I highly recommend a visit to your hotel.

The hotel has 5 stars for the services it offers. it's clean. the pool is normal, as is the gym. maybe a Po too expensive for the quality and price ratio. quite close to the center you can easily use public transport. breakfast varied but nothing exceptional.

Fantastic hotel with all the comforts of its category. Spacious and perfectly equipped rooms, totally soundproof. They gave us a room of a higher category than the one contracted. Indoor pool and spectacular spa. The ideal place to relax and unwind after visiting the beautiful city of Porto. All the hotel staff were super friendly with us and tried to make us feel at home at all times.
It has a very nice pool and a spectacular spa in the basement that is a gift for the senses. Delighted with the stay !!

The truth is that very bad, I had never seen a bathroom with so much dirt and full of mold. A big disappointment . A 0

Restaurant with a fantastic view. The buffet is reasonably good.

I could not recommend this spa highly enough. For me it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable spa experiences I have ever had! The staff have incredible attentiveness and attention to detail. The facilities are 5 star from the moment you arrive through the spa door. The pool, which is heated, has power jets with different levels of water intensity for your back, which is something I have not seen before. They also have 2 heated stone chairs for lying on which are fabulous. A few people mentioned the fact you have to wear a swim cap as a negative, however personally I find this much more hygienic. To the spa therapists themselves Louisa (and of course my boyfriend can t remember the name of his ) thank you so much for a wonderful massage and facial. The care and attention is second to none. I didn t feel imposed on or ignored and this is a very fine line which many don t get right so Obrigada! We left feeling so relaxed we had to go home for a nap. Don t hesitate to book this spa if you want to de stress. It is worth it. I am looking forward to returning again in a few months!!

Five star luxury hotel good breakfasts and good service

It is located in the commercial district of Porto. It offers gym, indoor pool, lounge club on the terrace and lounge for both meals and congresses.

Everythings good except the swimming pool that looks quite old and it is too little for swimming seriously.

Great hotel with lovely view
The staff are really friendly. Large, clean and conenient rooms. As we had a car it was great to have local parking for it a very cheap! (10 euros for the whole weekend ) Fab rooftop terrace.

Spectacular, it hurts that the weather will not accompany us, the views from the terrace should be spectacular

Struggle to give here more than 3stars...rooms decent, but dated, food not great, sparkling wine and water offered at dinner was flat, staff are courteous, health club hours very limited on weekends so unable to use, dissapointing!

Good conference rooms. Rooms sufficient for 5 stars

We stayed for a few time, it was a year ago since our last visit. The room condition was very unpleasant. The hotel did a facelift in the lobby which is nice but all we didn t see any friendly staffs that we are familiar with this time.

Great space, great for lectures or other kind of events.
