If I could 6 stars, I would. The hotel was immaculate and the service was excellent. We loved the use of the hot tub and pristine swimming pool, the spa services they have are amazing. We will come back to Amsterdam just to stay at the hotel.

It is about 20,000 yen per night, 3 kilometers from the center of the city. The building is new in Amsterdam and the rooms are slightly larger. Great to use on a business trip. In the case of sightseeing, it feels like moving to the center of the city every day is a long way to go. Japanese food is served for breakfast because it is Okura.

Loved the hotel, it s quiet in a residential area. Restaurants, shops, bars, transit and groceries are close by. We had an adjoining room with our kids which had a lovely view of the canal. The rooms are very spacious with very nice toiletries by Fragonard. Great Portuguese bakery next door serving pastel de nata. Hope to come back one day!

Inoubliable hotel. the suite was huge, with two bathrooms, a large living room, a spacious bedroom with king size bed, plenty of storage, and everything works in remote control on a tablet provided (closing blinds, lights, tv, music, room service etc). The bedding is fabulous. There are large picture windows throughout the suite which allows you to observe the city from every angle. The occupants of the suites have access to the spa, which is very complete, and the pool. You also have access to the private lounge, with breathtaking views of Amsterdam. Inside you will find a permanent cathering, as well as cold or hot drinks (all offered by the hotel), a very comfortable relaxation area and a co-working space with computers and printers available. The breakfast is sensational, with a wide variety of sweet and savory. The staff is efficient, professional, and friendly. There is of course a concierge service, a valet, a laundry, a souvenir shop in the basement and a large restaurant with Asian inspirations. In summary this hotel will do everything to take care of you, it has a lot of charm and its comfort and luxury are incomparable.

A lovely spa day experience, we ate lunch at the restaurant called SERRE,the food was not very tasty but served beautifully across from a wonderfull view. We also used the spa facilities and had a Swedish massage which was excellent. Lastly we ate at the SAZANKA restaurant, we had the 120 menu which was a 6 course meal, well cooked traditional Japanese food, very tasty, but the portions of food compared to the price we paid was small.,

Very nice room and services provided. Enjoyed the room and swimming pool with sauna. Actually the sauna scores top marks. One star down due to inexperienced desk service, mistake happens so stay sharp.

Very upscale Japanese flavorings ;)

But they really need an Onsen and electric bidets to complete the ambiance! Not just damn expensive Jap food that's only par for the course.

We have received a very friendly welcome at this hotel, staff really make every effort to make you feel at home. Our room was in good order, of course the interior could use some modernization. But the basis is absolutely right.

For us, a kettle and large mugs for tea had been a final touch. In these types of hotels we are also used to having water available.
The reason I give 3 stars, our room was so warm at night that sleep was really less for us. The climate control really needs to be done.

Don't know about cost, was part of a cruise, but, definitely a great hotel. It was in all ways excellent. The only draw back at all would be location, it is a mile or two from the city center. It is about 2 blocks from the tram stop and only a bit further to the metro and two stops to the center of town. So pretty good, at least.

Fantastic hotel with all facilities at your disposal. Friendliest staff and service. Rooms are well sized and really comfortable. Breakfast was nice mix of English, Continental and Japanese foods.

Location is 20 minutes walk away from down town, but there are access to taxis instantly from lobby or you can go by tram.

All in all fabulous stay and I will definitively recommend Hotel Okura.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Okura and recommend to everyone who likes the highest room, food and service quality. Specifically the Emerald suite, where you can enjoy beautiful view at the city from 21'th floor. We are really happy, that we could bring our little dog with us as well. Thank you for your hospitality and see you again next time!!!

Have just spent 2 nights at this hotel, and I have nothing negative to say about it.

The staff were extremely helpful, accommodating, polite and friendly. They were full of advice and handy helpful tips. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a room on the 8th floor, overlooking the canal that runs outside the hotel which was lovely. The room itself was beautiful with THE most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! The room is a more than adequate size (superior room), the bathroom was lovely with a separate shower and bath, with built in speakers in the ceiling and a glass partition wall so you could still watch the tv while you bathe, very nice touch!

It is in a more residential area, which for us was no issue. We purchased 2 x 48 hour tram passes from the front desk, and also given a really helpful map with landmarks and bus/tram routes so it was really easy to get around. Only 12.50 each pass.

Definitely recommend hiring an E-Bike!!!! It was 29.95 from A-Bike rental which is up on dam square, but that's for the whole day. You can cover 80km on a full charge and even for the larger people like myself or those worried about fitness levels (again like myself) it was an absolute pleasure to ride around on. Weirdest part...being on a bike YOU have right of way over everyone! Very strange but also very reassuring.

Don't waste money on a taxi from the airport! You can easily get to this hotel on the NS Sprinter train (which is attached to the airport) to the station Zuid for less than 4 a head, then the bus (no 65) for less than 3 a head, which stops about 5 minute slow walk from the hotel. The whole journey takes about 20-25 minutes depending on waiting times.

The whole stay in Amsterdam was awesome. The people are lovely, the place is lovely, and we can't wait to return to this hotel and this amazing place. HIGHLY recommend Okura!

The staff here really are proud of their hotel. We were escorted to a room that was not quite made up. The bellman called the manager who was aghast and immefiately provided an upgraded room. Fine food and a walk along a canal.

My wife and I stayed at your hotel April 20-22, 2019. I called ahead the week before requesting an early check-in as we had an overnight flight from the US. Upon arrival we were exhausted and had been without sleep for 24 hours. We got to our room between 3:30 and 3:45!! This treatment is unacceptable! A 5 star hotel with 1 star treatment of its guests!!

Excellent city structure. I also had the opportunity to try the high-level wellness center both for organization and care and for the spaces and equipment available. The "Serre" restaurant is also highly appreciated with more than positive value for money.

We were kept awake half the night (not overly!) By a noisy couple in the room next to us. Complained twice at the reception and after the 2nd time hotel security finally came into action. Damn lukewarm and late response from a hotel where you pay just about an arm and a leg for a room.

Nice room, great view on the 14th floor over the city. The temperature in the room when arriving was 27 degree Celsius but there was no way to turn of the heater in the room. Just possible to put airco on or open the window a bit. After asking at the reception they had to turn it down by hotel staff. The result was it was still on but could't anymore using the airconditioner.
