Staying at Hotel Morgan was such a wonderful experience! Probably the best experience my family has had at a hotel. RJ, Keith, and Mike were lifesavers. They went above and beyond to make sure my family s stay went smoothly. They parked my car, carried my bags, and made my daughter and I feel like family when my husband was out working through kind conversation. My husband and I can t thank you all enough.
We have stayed here once (almost twice since we are here today too) and love the remodel! This is such a beautiful and historic hotel right in the heart of the action!
Stayed at the Hotel Morgan for one night with my 4 kids heading back from Florida. The Staff was incredible, they loved my kids and were super accommodating from the moment we walked into the door. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. I recommend to anyone passing or staying in Morgantown.
This is an older hotel; it's been renovated fairly recently. it's pretty in the rooms are nice. The staff is friendly, which I always think is very nice when you get in late. There was no coffee in the room which seems pretty unusual to me.
It's in downtown Morgantown and I guess parking is at a premium there. They have two choices for paid parking: valet and self-park. We chose to self park. The slight issue there was that it's not completely obvious where the self park for the hotel is. I took a picture of where my car was in the parking lot to show the staff at the front desk, he said my car "should be fine there tonight". I would have liked a little bit more of a definite answer or even better more definite signs in the parking area.
Overall though it was very nice. I enjoyed the view from my room; it'ss featured in the photograph here. We didn't get to stay very long so I can't speak to the attractions around the hotel. Generally, I would recommend it.
This historically preserved hotel is now the crown jewel of Morgantown s downtown district. Mick and his team are accommodating and hospitable. My office had a meeting in their conference room today and I will be looking for many more reasons to visit this wonderful hotel.

Beautifully appointed hotel, ignore the google street view the construction has been completed and this hotel is top shelf. Friendly staff, very comfortable clean rooms, easy parking and valet, walking distance to good food. Table 9, Flour and Feed, and the Grind were all very good.
Everyone that works there was extremely helpful especially Mike in valet and Savannah who helped the cafr attendant make me a drink and bacon. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quality place with a great staff!
Pros: the styling of this hotel is very cool. The common areas are chic but not stuffy, and the whole hotel has an eclectic vintage industrial feel. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The beds are comfortable, and the towels the softest I ve ever used. The location is great with an awesome tavern right across the road that was delicious. I thought valet parking would be awkward, but it was easy and the attendant remembered me and was super courteous.
Cons: train noise can be loud at night, and woke me up more than once. The beds only have sheets and a light coverlet, and I prefer to sleep with a heavier blanket. I didn t get the chance to try out the bar in the hotel, but someone had still managed to charge my room number for almost $100 spent there. When I called about it the front desk remedied it quickly. I m not sure what is in place to make sure charges are being made to the correct rooms, but it might be an area to improve upon, especially if the hotel ended up needing to eat that charge.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again!
The Hotel Morgan is an icon for the town of Morgantown. Originally opening in the 1920 s, it was recently renovated and restored nearly a hundred years later. Renovating a landmark is a tricky endeavor, as it s easy to ditch the charm and originality for whatever new-age trend is in style. The Hotel Morgan does not do this. It kept the splendor of the old hotel in its full glory, while at the same time giving it a much-needed facelift.
Aside from the spectacular rooms and amenities, I found that every single member of the staff that I spoke with was friendly and hospitable, from the night staff to the doorman to the General Manager to the Barista. You could tell that they took great pride in being a part of the history of one of Morgantown s oldest establishments.
When I went to school at WVU nearly a decade ago, I thought of the Waterfront hotel as the premier top-tier hotel in town. After my recent stay, I d say that the new dog in town is ironically the oldest one- the Hotel Morgan.
