The hotel very well.
But the reception guy should be left prejudiced. He did not want to give me a room because he was wearing a sweatshirt. When I remove the card yes.

Very good location The breakfast is very rich, although they do not replace it as fast as they should and although the reception staff is not very friendly, the hotel is worth it. The rooms are big and comfortable.

For the third year we are going to this hotel, for its location and the treatment of the magnificent staff. The project of the new image will win whole but I hope it does not become one more of those hotels so new and so cold and not because of the temperature.

This former Sofitel has been reformed and rebranded as Mercure. The rooms are nice, the restaurant friendly with good selection including healthy choices, and the wine is great. Absolutely perfect for my visit to Madrid.

Very good place for breakfast at a reasonable price but quality, with large coffee, glass and foamy milk, rustic bread with tomato. All in a modern and design environment. I have not stayed at the hotel, but it looks great judging by the cafeteria.

The hotel staff is friendly and professional; unfortunately they have to work in a hotel under construction. I had to wait 20m because none of the two elevators worked (my room is on 6). The room's motion sensor did not work either; If you do not move, the electricity is cut off and therefore the air conditioning. There were more than 30 degrees in Madrid! I have a bad night because of the heat but I have to be honest; once the works are finished this will undoubtedly be a good hotel to stay.

The room is really nice, clean, no complaints. The location is ideal. Only downside: the state of the bathroom that in some places was poorly finished or dirty. The staff is really welcoming, speaks mostly English and French, great from this point of view. The breakfasts are good, nothing very original, but the dishes are good and seem fresh. Always nice :) I will come back here if I come back to this city!

The good thing is it's central well located near plaza de espana with the metro yellow 3 easy to get to - well the average rest for mercure hotel chain is old and renovation is needed staff interests going on and listless for 3 day trip to Madrid though OK

What I did not like has been the bad detail that the phone rings from 9 a.m. every hour as warning that I have to go. I found it fatal, it has not happened to me in any other hotel. Everyone knows what time hotel rooms are left. When I arrived the first day the room was very clean, but the second day they only made the bed, there was no cleaning, weird.

Room not so bright as in the pictures. Maybe because my room was on the 1st floor and the window was looking on a wall 3 meters away.. other than this it is a decent business hotel without a gym although you can visit one nearby. But there is a park where you can run 5 minutes away. Breakfast was ok. But in general more was expected especially from the room

My opinion is regarding the cafeteria. The surrounding area of the Plaza de los Cubos has many restaurants with terraces on a 100% concrete plaza that overheats in summer, which is pleasant and is usually not very clean.

The cafeteria of this hotel is like an oasis not only because of the full air conditioning but also because of the contrast with what is around. Edwardian wallpaper decor is inviting. The bad thing is that now they have changed the coffee machine for a Nespresso.

The services that are carried out are by book and all the details are taken care of, there are not usually many people. They do not have any specialty as they are typical hotel aseptic international cuisine.

My wife and I were offered a free drink each at our arrival. We went to our room to put things away, came down and asked for two bloody mary's. No one said anything about being charged when the bartender delivered our drinks. At checkout there was a 18 euro charge on our bill. The clerk 's explanation was that mixed drinks are not free. I felt like we were had. I don't think they should continue this practice. Nice hotel, poor service.

Hotel under construction, my room was one of the refurbished and it was fine, the big flat tv, the bathroom was fine. Most notable was the breakfast buffet which was good. It is very well located.

A very nice business trip stay. They had a smart new check-in procedure which worked well. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.
Despite having lots of plastic packaging, I like the fact they had a little packed of anything you might need in the bathroom - I needed the toothpaste!
There was a taxi outside whenever we needed one. 20mins from the train station, 40 mins from the airport.
Overall, very pleasant stay.

We were very comfortable for a few nights here. The room was clean and staff friendly, only 30 Euros to the airport. It is still a bit expensive to have 16 Euro for breakfast. You can also go to the street to find other families, it will be cheaper, and you will see different people.

Currently the front facade of the hotel is being renovated, I do not recommend living in it (4-21-2017).

There is no valet parking service, but there are parking spaces nearby
There are cafes near it, a McDonald's, a Starbucks, and a modest cinema

The rooms inside are updated and new

Staff are unfriendly, I don't say bad, but unfriendly and don't help

It is about a kilo and a half from Corta de Sol Square

Much lower than the standard Accor hotels

I do not recommend living in it unless it is a last resort

Convenient location. Quiet. Basic rooms and furniture (Ikea type) but recently renovated, clean and spacious. Very fast WiFi. Breakfast is just OK. I have been there several times.

great reception with clean, modern rooms. the breakfast is good but can get boring since it never changes. overall a nice friendly, cozy stay in a good location.

Hotel freshly renovated. Beautiful room. Near the royal palace. Go ahead without hesitation.

Once the renovation is complete all will be perfect, as is already its location to enjoy Madrid

Recently refurbished and rooms look a lot better to how they used to be. We got a standard and a superior bedroom. Both rooms where identical with the difference that the superior had free drinks, bathrobes and few little other hotel treats whilst the standard was a bit like a budget airline style where you have to pay for anything else you need.
Breakfast was ok. A bit mismatched but one can eat well.
It's a shame the gym is across the street and you have to waste time registering (5/10 mins) but still when you are only there for a few days with a busy schedule every minute counts...

We have only stayed one night but this hotel has already fallen in love! The decoration, both of common spaces, and of the rooms, is original and pleasant, the situation, great, and the treatment of the very friendly and close staff. Unbeatable! If we can, we will repeat !!

Good hotel, central, spacious and bright rooms, good cleaning, nice reception.

We have organized a seminar all week at this hotel. The rooms are quiet and fairly clean with WiFi access throughout the hotel. The meeting room had only one but enough room for 20 people. The breakfast and the food varied and quality with a very attentive staff continuously. Hotel staff in general very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very well located, behind the square of cubes and you can walk everywhere in this neighborhood full of restaurants, cinemas and shops. The park of the West next to the temple of Debod to a step of the Hotel. Highly recommended in all aspects.

The hotel has recently been refurbished - it's modern, cool and let's a lot of light in for a relatively dark street. Favourite part is the pineapple water in the lobby - it's a nice touch!
