Loved the room and the staff was great! However, the "facilities fee" is a ripoff and leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially if you are only using the hotel for lodging. At resort hotels a "resort fee" makes sense, but here the facilities fee is just a way to nickel and dime you. I would highly suggest nixing this fee if this hotel expects repeat business.

We had... problems, to be succint. The location is good. But that was about all. The rooms are NOT as advertised. The king room is smaller than my bedroom, with a bathroom about as big as a standard bathtub. Despite booking a room about four or five months ahead of time, we weren't given the room we booked. The reason given was that every room can only be "requested", and it's on a first-come, first-serve basis. That didn't seem to make sense since we'd booked everything up way ahead of time. They also gave us extra fees upon arrival because we had "extra guests", which wouldn't be the case if they hadn't given away our room. All in all, we did not enjoy our experience and immediately switched to a better hotel a mile away. Which was cheaper.

Went to Miller's Guild with a fairly big group and got seated in the bar area fairly easily (it was a Monday night). Food was delicious, although there are not a whole lot of vegetarian options available. For anything more than a late night snack and drink with friends I'd recommend a reservation.

Rooms are small, but large enough without being cramped. Bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Had a corner room with a great view. For the price, it's hard to find a better place downtown.

Just visited Seattle and had a great stay at hotel max. We were greeted by Hannah. She was so nice and offered amazing recommendations for our stay. They also have beer every night which is a great start to the evening. The rooms are very small but comfortable and clean. Excellent staff (especially Hannah) and fun atmosphere.

This is a great hotel best described as vintage chic. The rooms are hind of small, but extremely comfortable. And what could be better than a free craft beer happy hour? I enjoyed talking with fellow guests in the lobby over a beer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the building's history.

Really cool design and atmosphere throughout the hotel and the location is great. But the rooms are tiny and the prices are large. Stay here if you want something different and are able to afford it.

The rooms are very comfortable and nicely furnished. Entering the bathroom required a 4-5 inch step up, but was very clean with great water pressure and temperature. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the daily happy hour is always appreciated! I stay in this hotel everytime I travel to Seattle. It's an amazing hotel!

Amazing hotel! The elevator is a tight squeeze but the view from this place is pretty cool. The rooms are large and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The shower is huge! I loved staying here.

This place is especially nice if you're traveling with pets. They had a pet bed, bowl, and a bottle of water waiting in the room for us and even had a doggie room service menu and emergency vet info in the unlikely event that you need it. Super helpful staff

I visited the lobby and grabbed a drink at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and made great drinks. The interior of the lobby was nice and it's centrally located right in downtown Seattle with plenty to do around. Would recommend.

I love these people. My wife and I stayed here the night before our wedding and they took such amazing care of us! Wine waiting for us and everything! The beds are firm, so if you don't like that you won't enjoy your sleep but we do and had a great last night before the big day!! The hotel was clean, we loved the free beer hour and they had board games available in the lobby as well!! Couldn't say enough about them!

This place was straight legit. Service was top notch. We stayed at two hotels while in Seattle, Hotel Max and The Warwick. Max was by far the best experience. Rooms werent huge, shower was tiny but the experience was fantastic. The hotel has a great vibe and design. Record players in the room, free craft beer, awesome customer service. We will for sure stay again.

Hotel Max was, by far, the swankiest place I've ever stayed! The "You Got It" button is ingenious! Everyone from the concierge to the valet staff were SO friendly and helpful!! The bed was amazing, the decor was incredible! I didn't notice any noise out of the ordinary. We will DEFINITELY stay at Hotel Max in the future!

Trendy rooms and atmosphere. Little tight and our room was near the elevator so very noisy during the night, though they did provide a set of ear plugs. Staff was hit and miss. Either fantastic or meh. Overall an underwhelming stay in a beautiful city.

Traveling for work is an almost weekly thing for me. I usually stay at chain hotels because of the consistency. I am always a bit leary of boutique hotels but... wow! Hotel Max is awesome! Check-in was a breeze and the staff was great. The rooms are nice and despite the busy city street outside my window, I slept great.

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Max. Front desk staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel staff very helpful as well. Loved the craft beer hour and the record players in the rooms. I haven't listened to Beach House in a long while. Lobby was super cozy and chill. Board games to play and books to read while sitting on the couch across from the fireplace. Would stay again and recommend :)

Horrible!! Do not stay here. Waited outside for 30 minutes for valet. Called the hotel to see if someone in valet would be coming out since it was raining and the guy hung up on us. When I went inside to ask the manager Sasha said it was because they were busy however she had nobody in line. Do not recommend this hotel to anybody. Spend your money elsewhere.

The room I had for $216.00 was just larger than a walk in closet. When I opened the cabinet to access the refrigerator the cabinet door fell off. When I checked out I was charged an additional $75.00 for one night of parking. I would not recommend Hotel Max.

Food was quite nice and the staff made for the evening to be quite enjoyable though they could have paid more attention. It took a while to get our water glasses refilled. Other then that it was wonderful and I would say yes if someone asked me to return.

Hotel Max is very hip but once you get into the rooms the design falls flat and the lighting in the bathroom is harsh but the amenities and bed are really nice and the themes on each floor is fun. U was handed a beer upon check-in, nice touch!

Stayed here twice. Trendy hotel, great location, terrible bathrooms. Both were tiny, second room had a shower head that was busted and a drain that didn't work. Standing in hotel bathwater is less than ideal.

Upscale hotel in a great area downtown Seattle. Service at the desk was great! Nice restaurant/bar (Miller's Guild) attached to the lobby. They offer free beers for guests each night from 5:30-6:30pm as a bonus. Small elevators match the small rooms in this hotel. The room (King bed) was very nice but be warned for a couple with a week's worth of luggage it was kinda cramped. Small signs of recent renovations like bad paint jobs with miss matched paint and patched holes. Great walking distance to a lot of shopping and the famous Pikes Place Market. I wouldn't recommend bringing a car as hotel parking was $45/night, though that did include unlimited valet service in the center of Seattle. If we had paid regular price (around $200+/night) I doubt we would have been as happy but paying almost half that was a fair rate for the location. Overall if you can get a good price and dont mind the tight quarters then this is a great place to stay!

Hip boutique hotel. Microbrews on tap for a daily 5:30 happy hour. Retro games (Battleship, Simon, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots) in the lobby. Easy access to the Public Market and a short ride from the Space Needle MoPop, PacSci Center. Friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent hotel close to the Washington State Convention Center. Aesthetic is very punk rock with musical instruments and art on every wall. Free local craft brew sampling at 5:30, every day.

This place is just perfect. Convinently located in the downtown so if you are here for anything amazon all those buildings are a walking distance from here. The hotel has a very chic feel to it. Some good places to eat close by and even a shopping mall at walking distance if you are in a mood to shop or watch a movie.

Spent the night here, first time in the area. They had a valet service to park our car for us (costs extra but worth it). Parking is a nightmare, but the car stays in a locked garage. Check in was a breeze, the staff there were extremely professional and kind. The hotel has a modern design and room sizes are decent. The hotel room was very clean and had snacks/drinks (costs extra). Also, the restaurant attached to it is exquisite and provides room services! I would strongly recommend, plus location is central to downtown Seattle. Family friendly and very romantic

Perhaps the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. This is counting POS motels on the side of highways. The up side is that everything seems to be very well kept. The decorating, painting, and other touches all seem first class. Given the small amount of room in the rooms the hotel has done a very nice job of providing everything that a person needs in a hotel.

I can't say for sure if I would stay again, because I am not sure of the other choices available in downtown Seattle. For sure every member of the staff has be awesome. I have not stayed at a place with better staff.

Friendly staff interesting decor, record player in the room.
They're very upfront about who they are and what their shortcomings may be (really only that because it is old and has thin walls it can be noisy) and they provide ear plugs.
Really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

I was going to give my stay at this Hotel 4 stars since everything was pretty clean and I felt my stay pretty decent. But the dings are the rooms are really small, walls are somewhat thin (could hear a phone conversation in next room), and the fact that I got a weird $10 credit card charge after I left. The extra charge actually annoys me the most as they should have been up front about it when I checked in and not when I checked out. It just feels super shady. Anyway book it if you're willing to make the sacrifices I just mentioned.

Great little boutique hotel. One of my two favourite places to stay in Seattle. The other being Hotel Five. Great downtown location. Trendy with friendly staff. The attached restaurant and bar isn't great. Rooms are small but that's what you get with a boutique hotel. Doesn't bother me. I don't need room to do yoga on the floor. Ask for a complimentary beer when you check in.

Funky hotel with a good vibe. When we checked in it was during complimentary draft beer hour (score!). The artwork everyone was super fun, even the room keys had their own unique works (I may or may not have swiped mine). Next time I stay downtown it is sure to be here.

Went for a few days for my birthday it was over 800 for a little tiny box studio that looked like it was previously a hospital room. Its overpriced but on the bright side it's got a beer event nightly where you get two pretty tasty beers and a quit environment to relax also there is beautiful artwork throughout the entire place and your right in central downtown close to Capitol hill as well.
