Not bad food, palagi bread store. Beautiful old-fashioned atmosphere, palagi there is an old car on display in front, adding to the uniqueness of this hotel. Old, but still maintained, with old-fashioned ceramics, and clean public areas, clean bathrooms, albeit old-fashioned.

Surabaya is the city where my parents met each other and lived until 1958.
Hotel Majapahit is the best place to stay for me, exploring the city and its history. A friendly staff welcoms the guests. The colonial style of the interior and exterior is something you will like. The breakfast buffet is superb.
I am certainly coming back. Sumpai jumpa.

Historic hotel first opened in 1910. It was the site of the flag incident which occured on 19 september 1945 which led up to the battle of surabaya.
The interior of the hotel room has a classic elegant old colonial era style, making you feel like being transported back in time.
The gardens are beatiful & very well maintained, inviting you to just sit there and relax for hours.

If the hotel summarizes the conclusions it can be with a "classic" word. The rooms available are very spacious and comfortable. The concept of the hotel like the old inn directly facing the park (pavilion model) the room was made like we were in the early 1900s

There are myths about this spooky hotel, I think it's very unproven. There is no strange aura and kind of thing. I think this is just business competition.

For a very strategic location so this hotel is very premium if judged on a location basis. But for food I think it's normal.

this is a fantastic hotel. you could easily spend two weeks here without getting bored, just enjoying the hotel and relaxing. room is big and nice, food is great, people are professional and kind. the best is the big garden. if you ever come to Surabaya you should stay here. it's worth every dollar, and it's very cheap compared to similar hotels in Europe or America.

It's an iconic and historical hotel in Surabaya. Built during Dutch's colonial period which could be seen from it's beautiful design and interior which looks well maintained.

my first time to be here, all of the employees are humble and friendly. they give so much attention for me and my colleagues. i like the place and the decoration of the restaurant. maybe i will give a comment about what i ate while there. the drawback is that some of the food served is a little too salty, but this is probably a special taste by the chef who prepared the food.

Big hotelroom looks like a living room with couch, tv etc. Great Wi-Fi connection everywhere in the hotel. Great and very various breakfast.All kind of foods (pudding, rice, nasi, bread, muffins, drinks like juices, coffee etc). Staff was very helpful to print out some forms which we needed at the airport. Negative downsides were our guide and driver were not allowed to eat with us. We had to pay extra for them! 2 years earlier this wasn't the case. In addition we had to make a deposit of 400 euro, this could only be done by creditcard and not with cash money.

The hotel is beautiful. Very friendly staff. I came for buka puasa with a friend at 19 pm. But there was no food left from the buffet. Even glases and plates were not anymore available. The restaurant manager schould mention it when asking him to join the buffet.

Hotel Majapahit is a historic luxury hotel on Jalan Tunjungan, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Formerly named LMS, then Hotel Oranje and then Hotel Yamato and also Hotel Hoteru. At present, the Majapahit Hotel which was built in 1910 by the Sarkies Brothers from Armenia has turned into a five-star luxury hotel with a total of 143 rooms on the first and second floors. The hotel was managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group from 1993 to 2006. In 2006, the hotel was acquired by PT Sekman Wisata. Most of the hotel s original buildings can still be seen today, although some outside buildings and some elements of the interior have been renovated.

One of the moments of struggle at this hotel occurred on September 19, 1945, namely the Flag Incident. The incident began when a group of Dutch people led by Mr. Pluegman raised the Red and White Blue flag at the top right of the hotel. The Indonesian fighters carried out a blue tear on the Dutch flag, which was red, white and blue, thus the flag became red and white, the flag of the Republic of Indonesia. The flag incident also killed Mr. Pluegman.

Historical hotel located in city center near tunjungan plaza. It offers hotel tour for public for only 85k/person. I was staying in suite room, the room is old and vintage, they don't change the interior to keep the history and classic feel. Breakfast was amazing. It's hard to find a Hotel with tranquil environment on crowded city center like this. Really suitable for those who like and seek the history of Surabaya.
