Great hotel to enjoy as a family with children as a couple, has spaces for everyone. The fantastic treatment, the spectacular room, the wonderful service, I do not have any but to put the hotel. Without a doubt if I go back to Cartagena it will be to this same hotel.

Terrible service and mistreatment of clients. I went to dinner at the hotel restaurants with the bad experience that they wouldn't let us in without any explanation. The very rude and haughty doormen, expressed themselves in a very bad way, it was evidenced the negligence of the employees to allow entry (especially the employee surname Godoy). The hotel advertises in the surroundings for third parties to use its restaurants, however, according to experience, they do not receive everyone equally.
I do not recommend that third parties visit the hotel, they are not welcome and they are mistreated. There are many more hotels in the area that will surely give you better attention and service.
Very nice hotel. Good location and beautiful beach. People are courteous and polite. Many of them will be happy to answer you in English if your Spanish is defective. The only downside is that the merchants on the beach are very harassing. But we are in Colombia.
The new building is very modern, the rooftop bar has a great vibe. The older portion is very dated given how exclusive and expensive it is. But still one of the best options for a resort style feel in cartegena.
We were staying in Torre del Mal ... the excellent room, super clean, comfortable, with everything you need to feel good. The hotel facilities are completely excellent, you have everything there and there is no need to leave. All the staff very friendly and that is what we liked the most ... they are always attentive to help you and collaborate in the best attitude ... total recommended ... and in terms of price although it is not economical .really worth it, and you are not It hurts to pay for something with quality and good service ...
Good service, good food, but the hotel is very neglected, it lacks more attention to its pools and areas in general. I would not go back the truth, it seems to me that the price is not fair for what the hotel is today.
I have no complaints about this hotel at all. It's very big, so be sure to visit the neighboring hotels. They are all connected. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Don't leave your balcony door open, because the lizards will sneak into your room. We had two of them trying to stay with us. The hotel is maybe 10-15 minutes away from The Walled City. The hotel is right on the beach with an excellent view of the sunset. So have your cameras ready. The pools? There are so many choices. We loved the infinity pool at neighboring hotel. You are allowed there. Like I said, these hotels are connected in some way. If you decide to bring your kids along on this vacation, Hotel Las Americas is a great choice. There are kiddie pools and a playground.
Hello the truth I'm just going to visit them, arrived on January 5, 2018, and I want to know if there are shows at night and also my two children of 1 and 2 years are going to enjoy, I appreciate if someone tells me something about this thousand thanks
I ll begrudgingly give this 3 stars, up from my initial impetus to give it 2. Check in was terrible, our room was not ready at checkin time. We were told 15 minutes, which was the exact amount of time it took for the young man who was attending the checkin counter to disappear. After 30 minutes we asked again and we told it would be about an hour. We had to ask for a temporary room to transition. 90 minutes later we called the front desk. Not once was anyone on the staff proactive. Unfortunately that ser the tone for us to notice everything that went wrong. The hot tub was disgustingly dirty. None of the clocks in the rooms were correct. There was garbage on the lawns.
There were a few shining, helpful, friendly, outstanding employees that salvaged what was looking to be a terrible stay. They earned the extra star. I ve seen the boilerplate response from the hotel regarding the 5 star service we re know for . There s no way this comes close to a 5 star hotel, and the service is well below 5 star. I d encourage the ownership to visit a 5 star resort to discover what that actually means.
Hello, I have great affection for Las Americas because I have been coming with my family for a long time and we had always done super well, but this stay we really got a stranger from the hotel, the pools with problems, many closed, lack of toilet, lack of staff, I don't know but I hope they can improve
Be aware. You pay per person, not per room. To my surprise, upon arrival at the hotel for check-in I was asked to pay an additional $50 per person or 250.00 USD a night for 3 nights after pre-paying 2 separate connecting rooms. I totally felt scammed, I travel a ton for business and pleasure with my family around the world, and I've never ever been charged a per person fee for a hotel room stay. I was travelling with my family (4) and my parents (2) booked 2 separate connecting rooms, and was told at the front desk that I owe'd more money!! Ridiculous!!! The hotel itself is decent, good breakfast buffet but NO ORDER, totally DISORGANIZED people walked right past the host, sat where they wanted even though I was standing in 'line'. No LINE? Anyway, rooms were comfortable, had a great oceanfront view (beach is ok, remember you are in Cartagena, so beaches are not nice at all - that's why you have to travel to either Baru or Islas del Rosario). The restaurant Erre, atmosphere was AMAZING, food was decent BUT EXTREMELY OVER PRICED! View from the top of the hotel was FANTASTIC. After we got over the intial shock of having to pay for no. of people in room (which we negotiated down) and supposedly happens all the time (whatever), I would NOT go back to this hotel. Not worth the pain, $$, better to stay in old city and hang in with the locals and other tourists.
We had an incredible time !!! Totally recommended. The staff, the food, the drinks, the pools, everything is perfect. I would go back without a doubt. The sea is not paradisiacal but very pleasant
Excellent service from all the staff. Good stay. Please exercise greater control of alcohol consumption in pools other than those of the 10th floor. Regards. Carlo
Had an awesome experience, went to visit for first time Cartagena and the staff at the hotel was amazing especially one of the porters Luis Fernando, he was very attentive, making sure me and my best friend were feeling safe, there is also another guy his name i think it's Brian? He works at the beach area, very nice and pleasant. Thank you all for the good experience. The accomodations are excellent, the ocean view amazing, the infinite pool great, all restaurants are fine, excellent food. Was there from july 30th to august 7 th. I will do it all over again
Beach house is absolutely run-down, it's not what it used to be, efforts are aimed at maintaining the new tower and everything looks run-down, the walls are damp from a long time and the "remodeled" rooms were better before. I do not recommend Casa de Playa to stay if what is expected is quality of at least four stars, being five, but if it reaches three. Choose the new tower to stay in.
It's the second time that I stay at the Hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with ample spaces, including the bathroom. The best thing about the hotel is the area of the 10th floor, which is only for adults (+18) and there is a pool, and bar service and meals. However the menu of meals is limited, and a bit formal. It could be much better.
Breakfast at the buffet is quite good, but there are times when it gets too crowded and there is no room for all the guests to sit.
The hotel has a beach, and sunbeds to be in this area. These must be reserved early to be able to sit and have a good location. On the beach there is also a hotel drinks service, so there is no need to buy from different people. However I recommend the ceviche they sell on the beach, ask for "NARCISO", super recommended
In general it is a good hotel, with reasonable price, and where I am sure they will have a good time in Cartagena.
Hello to all the Las Americas hotel! We stayed in the part of beach house. The truth that everything beautiful: cleanliness, comfort, swimming pools. The kindness of all who attended us! We had a spectacular vacation! Excellent hotel! Greetings from Argentina!
Buenas Noches, is a hotel with fabulous service in all fields, I especially thank Mr. JAIRO APRIL security chief for his hospitality and attention, every time a briefcase which was forgotten in a taxi that arrived at the hotel facilities and Thanks to his tireless management, he managed to recover it for two days. I reiterate the gratitude of the whole family and without any interest in their services, not all act in the same way.
Spent 4 days 3 nights at HLA and loved it. Staff was friendly and accommodating despite my limited Spanish. The room was comfortable and well air conditioned (we regularly turned the air off because it was too cold!) Food, drinks, and pool were all great as well. My favorite part was while it was definitely family friendly ( kiddy pools, splash playgrounds, water slides, parks, kids club, etc.) It did not feel like kids were overwhelming you or running rampant and independent of their families. The only downside was that there was maintenance and improvements being done so two of the pools were shut down. However, even with two pools shut down there was no overcrowding and pools I didn't even make it too. One last note there were tiny bugs in the flowers and so we placed ours outside on the balcony.
We have been with the family and the truth is that the treatment was spectacular. The facilities have many swimming pools and they also have a children's area with monitors and makes the life of the parents a bit more flexible on vacations. The breakfast very very rich and if you want something at the time t do it without a problem a 10 for you until the next!
Breakfast is terrible, requires a better standard of food. Restaurant is average for lunch and dinner. Rooms are average, rooftop pool is nice but advertised as an infinity pool despite having glass panels which are not clean blocking your More
Good day ... I am from Argentina and I really love this hotel ... very good service, good location and very good attention. 5 Stars and I would give more
Overall it's a beautiful Hotel. Great pools. Close to the beach and they are not as crowded as other touristic areas. Rooms are nice. Bathroom was a bit outdated but what bothered me was the fact that it was dirty. Dirt and hair on the floor and bathroom had chunks of old soap on the tiles found in the shower. We informed the front desk and they were quick to resolve the problem. So I would say guest service was great as well. There was always someone willing to help or assist us with anything we needed. I would go back.
The hotel is very nice, it is spacious, the staff super friendly. The location of easy access. The beach is cute, clean and safe. Typical food of the region, delicious buffet, although it would be good more variety between days. Cleanliness of the room impeccable. The infinity pool without words, beautiful view and with a great host. I loved being in this hotel.
