Want to give this place 4 stars, but the breakfast buffet and the type of customers put this as a 3. Otherwise a solid place. This is a solid 3.5.

Excellent hotel, it welcomed us while it was the congress of the ICT, ANDICOM2016.
The attention on the part of its personnel was excellent, the spaces very ample, tod very neat, the security very good. 5 stars my 3xperincia! Stay with friends and colleagues journalists.
5 star hotel, very comfortable and comfortable. The human warmth of the people of the heroic (Cartageneros) joyfully infect every moment of the stay. Ideal for holidays, conventions and enjoy Cartagena.
Excellent hotel Country house is older, Torre de mar 5 stars ..... nothing negative.
We arrived in Cartagena during the Covid-19 crisis. Being stuck in Colombia we figured that a 5-star hotel would be our best option as they have everything in one place.
However, at arrival - so it wasn't mentioned on the website, nor on their social media channels! - 75% of the facilities were closed. They still charged full price though.
Communication around Covid-19 and the measurements taken was solely provided in Spanish. I know, we were in a Spanish speaking country, but we're not talking about a guesthouse here, but about a 5-star hotel.
Staff was quite hostile towards tourists staying there. If you don't want to interact with non-Colombians, fine, but close down.
Because the Colombian airspace about to close down completely, we had to leave sooner than we thought - thank God, I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer in this place. At check-out we were told we'd get a full refund for the days we didn't stay and received a check-out bill for that. Finally some service!
Well... that was on March 20th. Till today we haven't seen any of the money back and our emails are being ignored. Absolutely appalling.
I understand that Covid-19 is an exceptional situation, but treating your guests as a burden, bad communication and not living up to your promises are not to be excused by this for a professional hotel we thought Las Americas to be.
The view of the hotel is very beautiful, many pool options, the rooms are clean, but with no queen beds as they offer, the breakfast is very good and varied, but for lunch and dinner does not offer many options, their menu is very limited , the pizzas are terrible. The hotel staff is very nice. The pools close at 8:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., awful option when you go on a family vacation because we all want to relax in the pools until later.
As always the only bad thing in Cartagena are so many vendors on the beach
The rooms are nice. The breakfast was mediocre. Food does not have much bisey. The fruit is weighty and the eggs cheese or something edible. No cakes :) olive domatrs like cucumber greenery don't have any bisey. Beach sand sea sand is not deep but I think it is not preferred. Wave too. Not regular. Looks like Basibos. I'il come back. I do not think so.
The beach, pools, and restaurants are excellent.
We stayed in a room at beach house with a serious humidity problem, everything remained humid. We asked for help and they brought us a dehumidifying machine which helped but definitely didn't fix the problem.
Very nice the place has a complete infrastructure and service
Stayed here on a school trip. Had an awesome time - great rooftop bar
I love the beach at this hotel and the service. I recommend it 100%
Excellent hotel with luxury amenities and attentive staff. Comfortable rooms with very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is very varied and with quality products. There are several offers for lunch and dinner, of very good quality too. There are many pools and games for children. Even nursery have. The beach is nice and the staff attentive to the safety of the guests. We spent 5 very pleasant days.
Pleasant, central close to everything very comfortable and elegant
Quiet place, with good service, good food and very close to the beach
The arrival and greeting at the airport made me feel right at home. I had a long flight and my mood was instantly turned super positive after interacting with the girl from Hotel Las Americas at CTG airport. They really go above and beyond in terms of service. Facilities are pristine, food is phenomenal, drinks are cold, weather is perfect. Thanks everyone
From the arrival you can see the desire to take the money from the tourist: I booked a double room, well in advance. I arrived to check in and they offered me immediately: "If you want it with an ocean view, it's worth an additional 50 thousand pesos per night."
In restaurants, whose food is of varying quality, I was NEVER asked by servers if I wanted to include service or tip. They have to ask that BY LAW. With the consent of those who made the account, they always included it without asking. This is illegal and unethical. Burglars
The access is impossible, by works, it does enormous damage to the hotel, it looks unoccupied.
It is a good hotel, quite expensive, with good infrastructure and rooms. However, I only give it three stars because: 1) the beach is public, a lot of walking that is annoying, although it does not depend on the hotel if it affects you when selecting a destination, 2) the food is of good quality but the menu Infant is not nutritious. 3) There is no place available to work 24 hours, I walked at 4:30 am where I sat down to make a report, I ended up in an open area and the light went out, 4) They don't clean the rooms well, they just fix them ( the sand is still there). 5) Although at night they take an artist to set the time for dinner, they do not perform activities for guests that allow them to feel the Caribbean, 6) the staff behaved well, good attention, 7) you already notice the years to the pools, it would not hurt a fix, 8) for its price nothing cheap and should have smart TVs with Netflix (devices already old technologically) bad cable television (both video quality and offer).
Excellent service, perfect hotel, rest and total relaxation!
I stayed in two hotels during my stay in Cartagena at the Hotel Cartagena Plaza which is better located and at the Las Americas Beach House. The Las Americas is practically a resort, with several pools and oceanfront. First rate service, restaurant and rooms very good. Highly recommend!
Good hotel but not impressed with the hotel trying to stick me in a room with no balcony and then trying to say i had no breakfast included when Expedia email said clearly all those things. Then on top of all that they claim the room are 65sq m when they are not even 35sq m. They include a useless space of balcony in that and still not 65sq m. I build homes so I know ... 1ftx 2ft tiles on the floor make it easy to calculate it... nice try but come on... tell the truth and ppl will be happy. Don't try to sugar coat things please. The culprit and most the headache were caused by the "manager" Luis Antonio. Stay away from him if possible. Quite the liar
Hello I loved the hotel for the attention and recreation for children I hope many people visit it
The hotel is very nice. With good attention. Three restaurants The room very nice and clean. With balcony and ocean view. You can see the planes landing near the airport
My friend is there and I hope in these bacaciones there is
The facilities and service are very good, cleanliness and adequate presentation.
The price of food and drinks that are not taken "all inclusive" are quite expensive which is unfortunate.
Improve maintenance, some installations or accessories are deteriorated
It was the best week of my life and the restaurants, the pools and the spa were delicipso
The facilities and the service justify their five stars .
Wonderful experience, attention exquista, good service, super clean, I have stayed twice, and would do it again, the cost is worth it.
Great hotel, in fact there are two different hotels (Torre de Mar & Casa de Playa). Torre de Mar is more business minded and Casa de Playa more family oriented. Nevertheless I stayed with my family in Torre de Mar and enjoyed all the amenities for kids in casa de playa. Food & Drinks are excellent, beach is not private but it is closely guarded and safe, with so many pools and entertainment we almost didn't go to the beach though.
An improvement point is the fact that the hotel has many stores, but I think it lacks a convenient store in the premises, I had to order dipers to be delivered to my room, but if I had a convenient store I would have bought that there and probably many other simple stuff, like sunscreen, etc. My experience was great and my kids enjoyed the Kids club.
a hotel of 4 stars and half a beach house, the bathrooms in the B7-317 somewhat uncomfortable the top of the bathroom, the restaurant area something old the tables near the pools, to highlight the very nice swimming pools with good maintenance, hotel near to the airport, something unfair is that in this hotel there are many species of animals, and have no place to drink fresh water, birds taking water from the pool, the hotel should provide them with water. otherwise well, clean well, staff attention very well !! but in my opinion it is a 4 and a half stars hotel. The beach is very flat, delicious. On the beach, puppies are seen in abandonment. The mayor of Cartagena should help them. It is not fair to see them die of thirst and hunger.
Very good facilities and service. Excellent swimming pools and attention on the beach, with the hotel's own security. The staff are mostly very friendly, always with a smile. The only thing I don't like is the buffet lunch, it has nothing of the Cartagena cuisine and is expensive.
I still could not stay but the attention I received wonderful
A wonderful place to rest and enjoy
Excellent infraedstructura, the spectacular food and the best the attention of the staff, friendly always well arranged educated.
Good hotel.Recommendable. Good attention.
Low quality cafe, hurts for a 5 star H.
This hotel is located on the beach of La Boquilla. It is very close to the airport of Cartagena (10 minutes) and 15 minutes from the walled city. It has two main sections: Hotel Beach House that are cabins and Torre del Mar which is a building. I recommend Torre del Mar since the rooms are more modern. It has several restaurants, bars and multiple pools for adults and children. On the top floor there is a swimming pool for adults only.
Great place, beach, good service, good food and fun for children.
Excellent hotel, very complete with its tennis courts, swimming pools, beach and from its facilities of beach house, to tower of the sea are very aesthetic and pleasant for the whole family.
Your attention the facilities pools beaches and the staff 1 A
My best memories in Cartagena are always in this Hotel I love your attention and your Buffet
Very good hotel. Complete leisure structure. We had some infiltration problems in the room that were not resolved. The staff is not the most friendly and the food in the restaurant takes a long time to arrive.
Comfortable and comfortable rooms, excellent toilet and good food.
We miss NinaPaula Rojas in the safety of the beach. I hope we find her on our next trip
We used the restaurant for the tour lunch.
The table was stylish and the dishes were elaborate. It was nice to have a Colombian-style meal.
The hall was large and clean, and there was a pool, and it seemed comfortable.
Exelent hotel, delicious food, beauty views, all is perfect and beautiful
Traditional Cartagena hotel, recognized, comfortable and with good service. In my opinion it is staying in time and is losing the luxury and comfort of previous years. In a good old hotel, without anything new or automated. I recommend it totally, but with that price you can already find alternatives that offer more services or have more features of a new comfort.
The best hotel, the best service, private beaches and with access to many parts of Cartagena.
It is a very good hotel complex in Cartagena located at the exit to Barranquilla.
It has a good number of swimming pools and bars, shops and restaurants.
Getting to the city or the airport is easy.
The a la carte food in the restaurant is quite average.
Excellent Hotel, with incredible attention and spectacular food. To come and enjoy its facilities and its beach
Excellent place to stay if you are looking for a large, resort-style stay. The property includes good restaurants, bars, and plenty of activities for kids. They have several pools, each offering something different. The rooms were great and the service was excellent. Located right on the beach and just outside of town. If you wanted to travel to the old city, it is about a 10-15 minute taxi.
Bar and pools only work until 8, there are no plans for adults
we went to play mini-golf as we saw this on internet.at the gate we were rejected cause we were not guests.but we could buy a day-ticket including pool, lunch and minigolf.price was 194.000 peso.the time was 13.30 and we had eaten and brought no swim-wear.it was windy and cloudy.we had to return and spend another 45 min in the taxi.wasted a day and 50.000 taxi-pesos.horrible attitude to people visiting colombia :-) ban this place.
The service is excellent, although the facilities could be improved to maintain an adequate temperature and avoid the noise that seeps from places outside the hotel.
