The InterContinental B.A. is an elegant, old-style hotel with a quiet location 2-blocks from the busy Avenida de Mayo. While the lobby, lounge, and restaurant are in fine shape, the rooms are in need of a freshening.
I have stayed at this hotel 4-different times in the last 2-months. The floors and furniture are old, dull, and scratched. The area rugs are dingy and worn, and every one of the king beds I slept on was crowned in the middle, pushing you towards the edge overnight. The in-room coffee makers were old and disgusting. All these little things add up to a hotel offering a declining product.
On the other hand, the staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel has an "okay" location relative to the tourist attractions and restaurants. The rooms and baths are large, and dark for sleeping. Bathrooms include a shower, full bathtub, bidet & toilet, with large towels and bathrobes.
The second floor gym and spa are excellent with trainers available to help with your workout. (Cybex equipment and free-weights) Also a medium-sized indoor pool.
I have not eaten in the hotel restaurant, but my colleagues tell me it's very good.
I would love to spend a night in that hotel. But I don't think I can.

I have not used the Hotel, but its cafeteria on the ground floor is an excellent place for a business meeting, with lots of silence and tranquility and if it is a quick meeting there is a Starbucks a few meters from the hotel.
I had lunch and dinner and it is highly recommended, the lunch buffet is super varied, fresh and exquisite and the a la carte food at night is equally exquisite.
Very expensive ..... too much luxury ..... for connoisseurs ...

You always know what to expect when you visit this level of hotel. Clean, nice amenities, and very polite staff. Where I wasn't very impressed, was with the quality of morning breakfast, this could be vastly improved. Location is good and it is very easy from the hotel to reach many points of interests either by foot or via taxi.
Intercontinental is one of the most prestigious hotel chains in the area where you will find excellent rooms as well as a restaurant where renowned chefs prepare the menu that will delight all guests.
There are also the famous bars where you can drink a potion prepared by expert bartenders and have a good time.
Could have better mattress and better pillows. Great location.
Maybe I didn't like it because the style of the rooms is not what I'm used to, although they were spacious and comfortable. The common areas are awesome. The quality of breakfast excellent.

Nice property - rustic style. We had a room up in the high building with an amazing view of the lake. Service was very good. Nice selection at buffet breakfast. Restaurant next door was also quite good. A ways out from the center of town. Will need rental car or taxis. Would stay there again.
