One of the only rooftop bars on the west side (Venice, Ocean Park, Santa Monica), and their space is limited so drinks are not cheap and they prefer you make table reservations. A couple tables offer great views over Venice beach

Cool, funky Venice Beach hotel. The hot water came and went in the morning, but other than that, great place. Wonderful roof deck! Great views!

The hotel has a good position unfortunately it is very noisy at night. The restaurants in the hotel are perfect

The service is excellent. The rooftop bar has a great view. The rooms are clean.

The location might be good for dinner people but it is crazy traffic here. Coming in and out of the place is nightmare on the weekends.

Best place to stay in Venice/Santa Monica to get the real CA experience. High is just a special place.

Have stayed here twice and highly recommend, smaller boutique hotel vibe in Venice Beach & literally steps away from the water. The staff has great knowledge of the area, restaurants & sights and the rooftop lounge is an absolute must for an evening drink...

Perfect location. Parking is plentiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are well specced and and cleaned thoroughly. There is a roof bar, which is ace although pricey.

Great atmosphere at sunset but get in early as it gets busy.

A great hotel situated seconds away from the ocean, rooms feature a modern design with comfortable beds. A great place to stay if you're looking to catch some waves or spend time in the Venice area.

Staff were amazing and so friendly. Location is also great for popping by Venice Beach and soaking in the wonderful weather.

Great sunset view. They have warm cocktails which are perfect for how it gets chilly as the sun sets.

Great location, good rooms, horrible water pressure, the lobby looks old but they seem to be renovating it. This area of LA is hard to find decent hotels at a decent price. This is one of the best options in my opinion.

Renovated old hotel in Venice. Rooftop bar is great, location is great, rooms are nice but can tell that the hotel is old.

We stopped for a coffee. The barista was very sweet.

Great views, good food, staff are very attentive. Parking is tough though. There are several parking lots, but are usually full. It's pretty much in the heart of Venice Beach. Definitely have a reservation or else you'll be waiting in line. Scooters are available, so if you need to park far, that's definitely going to be the best bet. Overall, great place to chill, watch the California sunsets and reall get the beach vibe.

Do yourself a favor and go to the rooftop and have a cocktail. The views are stunning. We didn't stay there but you must have a beverage if you are in the area. Phenomenal view!

Fantastic view with overpriced drinks. Strongly recommend going right before sunset. Be warned, it's very sceney, everyone is dressed up and ready for a photoshoot.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. At check in we were offered a complimentary shot, free beach towels, free bike rentals. The elevator takes forever so we used the stairs. There was a restraunt at the bottom of the hotel and a bar on the roof. Litterally right there on the beach. Like really a 5 min walk from your room to the water on your toes. Very nice hotel, updated and modern. Beautiful

Awesome hotel! This hotel is right on the beach which is great and has tons of shops within walking distance. I stayed in a north facing ocean view room with a balcony and loved watching the sunset. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had a big walk in shower and a lot of really cool amenities. The staff was very nice, always greeting you and making sure you are enjoying your stay. I had breakfast in their Barlo restaurant and highly recommend the breakfast burrito (it says breakfast tacos but you can get it as a burrito). I ordered it with veggie sausage and it was delicious!! I also had dinner/drinks at their rooftop restaurant, High, and recommend the Mahi tacos. Absolutely amazing! Love this hotel!

Really nice hotel but it is a bit of a party hotel so it can be a bit noisy.

The guys at the front desk were super cool. Accommodations were basic at best. Ladies at the front desk were uninviting.

Close to the beach but hotel getting older: unreliable hot water, AC and heater not working on second night. Lobby and restaurant looking hip, rooms somewhat fading.

The hotel was great overall. I love the bar and restaurant. The rooms were a little small and very loud underneath the rooftop bar. Also, the elevator was very slow.

Those vegan lamb sliders & the flatbread pizza at High, very delicious. The rooftop Bar "High" a great beach outdoor venue.

Cost doesn't not equal value at Erwin. Trying to be a cheaply run hotel at high end prices. Missing basic things that hotels for similar prices have no issue providing. Stingy on the details to save a buck. Unlock your lobby bathrooms, provide umbrellas, give out more towels by default, get a better mini bar selection, replace your broken thermostats, learn who your long term guests are, don't be greedy with valet prices. Also tried to charge me 8 valet nights for a 6 night stay. Learn some basic hospitality before your charge these prices. If I wanted to stay at a motel six I could have saved some money and gotten the same level of experience.

Trendy spot with a fantastic view. Highly recommend drinks around sunset for an unforgettable experience. Drinks are slightly over priced and waitstaff are decent.

Had a couple of very fine wine (Malbec and Cabernet), while watching a beautiful sunset on the rooftop with an amazing view on the ocean. Highly recommended!

Hotel staff were friendly and attentive. Room was very clean and comfortable, with good temperature control.

Pretty cool hotel, good location - 2 minutes of walking from the beach. We received a free upgrade to the suite even though it was our first time there. Good views, tasteful decor, pretty happy with the rooms and the service. The downsides are that the internet is not free (the per-hour wifi charges are pretty outrageous in my opinion), and that parking is $30 (you can find free street parking overnight easily).

Red Bull posts me up here frequently and for good reason. It's hip, clean and right in the center of Venice action.

Excellent views and good drinks, though a bit on the procedure side.

Their customer service is pathetic. Staff is slow, call center is non-responsive. The hotel is in a shady part of town too.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in September of this year and I enjoyed my stay a lot. The staff was great and so was room service and the room we stayed in. I'll definitely be going back!! The ocean view is a big plus.
