Close to Venice Beach. Loud at night. Large but bare room with very cramped bathroom. Two of our attempts to eat at the in-house restaurant were unsuccessful for annoying reasons.

Very friendly hotel
Very cool staff
Great hotel just put a hold on room charge and tie up your credit card
best view in Venice to see the sunset... jalapeno mango drink I had was perfectly spicy and sweet... pricey but work the drink and the view.. valet only 10-15 depending on your length of stay, and free entry to the rooftop
I chose a bad hotel. For the kind of money I'm paying I should have stayed somewhere else. Internet connection is bad, they don't even leave the mini lotions in the room. When I call front desk about lotions, they pretend it was an oversight. Then next day same thing. Pillow case has food stain and not the kind washing couldn't remove. Free water first night only: which makes no logical sense since you're paying the same money each night. Would it kill then to do these little things? It's crazy. It's as if they don't know people write reviews and tell each other.
Nice hotel close to the beach, friendly staff with clean and modern rooms.
Great location, fantastic roof, and wonderfully helpful staff.
Staff was friendly and hospitable, and the bar had a great setup with a beautiful view of Venice beach.
Great little boutique hotel but on the expensive side for what it is: the Erwin has an amazing Venice beach-side location but it's a rather ordinary hotel inside. From the hype surrounding it, you'd think this is an uber hip W hotel but it is not: Rooms were clean and OK but nothing special. Upper floor rooms have three foot balconies with stretch-your-neck sea views. Would definitely return, though, as it seems better than most accommodation in Venice and the "high" roof top bar had unparalleled views over the sunset. See separate reviews of high (roof top bar) and Barlo (downstairs restaurant).
Fantastic views and friendly service. Every staff member i met had a smile and was very helpful.
Clean room and Very friendly staff
We will come back again
Cocktails , atmosphere and
Great view
Very Venice, friendly reception desk. Close to the beach and restaurants. Rooftop bar is fun and has great views
Pretty average place. Poor sound insulation between rooms. I actually had to move hotel because the people in the room were up late making noise, and the management couldn't do anything about it. The staff were very friendly and helpful otherwise, though.
Nice views, great way to spend a nice sunny arvo. Service a tad slow, but drinks were nice. Easy to book a table/booth via open table.
Always come here when in LA because of the great location, inexpensive rooms and nice friendly staff. Totally recommend when in Venice.
Rooftop bar has good view. Strange that they check a group of us that obliviously above 21 for ID (the ladies welcomed it tremendously). Food on high side $$$ beers are cheap relatively for the location.
Excellent views, especially at sunset. Nice drinks, the prices are about the same as other places
I wish they had a swimming pool but love the roof top here
Met for a friend's birthday and had a table reserved. We had to pay a reservation fee, ok I get it. But then we had to pay a cover on top of that. It's not a lot, but shouldn't have to if you are already paying for a table. The service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd, and I heard comments said under breadth a few times.
This is a review of the rooftop bar. I highly recommend anyone visiting Venice to check this place out. It has amazing ocean and city views and a fun atmosphere. The only downside is the high price of the drinks.
Extremely loud hotel. You can hear every conversation and bump in the adjacent rooms. And there is a rooftop club spanning the length of the building with bass bumping party music. To top things off the fire alarm went off in the building at 2am on our pay night and everyone had to evacuate. I m leaving the last day of my vacation feeling wrecked.
I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel last summer. Starting with a rooftop patio with a stupendous view of the beach area across Los Angeles. Great and supportive staff and loved my room! Thanks guys! "I'll be back."
Amazing rooftop, and even better brunch. Highly recommend for drinks, views, and food.
The location of this hotel could not be better. We booked a ocean view room from where you can observe the action in Venice Beach front. The rooms are spacious and clean.
Very nice hotel super close to the beach, restaurants is amazing!
Went to the rooftop for drinks and had an incredible view of the sunset. Highly recommend you make reservations before you go.
The rooms are amazing, with a huge living room and a magnificent bed. The average price in August of the room is about 560 euros per night, taxes included. It has a roof top where you see a beautiful sunset and sunrise in which you see all of Venice
Came to Venice Beach for a family vacation. Staff and valet are extremely nice and welcoming. I will be coming back again.
In an awesome location in Venice! Fun, fresh, great hospitality!
Convenient and close. The concierge and manager went out of their way to accommodate us and were so very professional. Thank you.
Walking distance to the beach and the roof top has very nice view.
Disappointed in general, we had booked a room with balcony and sea view but we had a partial view, the beds are not very comfortable, on the other hand nothing to say in terms of cleanliness! Otherwise it is well placed in the street teeming with homelessness!
I booked by mistake the wrong dated and no one was able help me. Had to stay in the street since I used all my lost money on booking them. Recommend going somewhere else with better customer service
Great Location next to the beach and restaurants. Rooftop bar is a welcome amenity. Rooms are OK size.
Beautiful view and great staff. Unfortunately my room was under the rooftop bar
Staff was great! Rooms are spacious and clean. Only minor gripe is that the rooftop restaurant keeps the one elevator really busy.
Lovely, helpful, friendly staff and stylish, clean, cosy rooms just steps from the beach.
My Family and I just stayed here fr the weekend couldn't have asked for a better stay we enjoyed the whole beach view great costomer service I want to thank Miguel who was the man who helped me out on my stay will defenetly stay here again... Loved the beds very clean...I loved the shampo and condicinor ..
They have this roof top bar with an amazing view. A bit pricy but worth it. Right in the heart of venice beach.
Great location, fantastic roof top view of all of Venice Beach
Great experience as usual. Clean, comfortable rooms and great staff. Will definitely stay again.
No free parking but definitely worth the extra cost. Huge rooms, rooftop restaurant and bar plus ocean views from our balcony.
Just spoke with Anthony. Very friendly, informative and directed me to the the right person's to further assist my quest for a possible small wedding venue. Thank you.
Lohan, at the front desk was not so.
Nicely decorated. Rooms standard, clean, roof top bar.
This place is just a motel (with good customer service) located at the beach. Very overpriced for what it is. Rooms are dirty and not maintained. Only one elevator to go up and down which will take forever to come. Hotwire rates it 3&1/2 star. the only 3 star it gets is for customer service. BTW, parking is $30/night and with tax ends up at $35/night. The beds are old and squeaky. Also I got charged for gummy bear candies that i did not use but I called and they said they would refund it.
Amazing service! The staff were wonderful. The roof top bar was chill. And rooftop brunch was great! Its expensive but worth the price.
Remodelled for a better look
Beds are soft
Staff is cool
Small terrace for fresh air
Party on the roof
This hotel is extraordinary!!! We came early and they didn't have our room ready but they had an extra rom which was an upgrade from ours, so they gave it to us! The people here are all so friendly and they actually feel like they enjoy working here. There is one large bed in our room, and a pullout one in the huge couch. It's right next to the beach so you can just walk out to the market, or even bike there with the old fashion bikes they rent out. Awesome style! 10/10 would come again!
Don't go here.
They will overcharge you!
I lived here a week ago and buy some dinner from their Barlo Kitchen or something. The food is like $15 and because it is takeaway (I got the food and go back to my room). Today I found they charged me $10 tips. So ridiculous!
Great rooftop bar. Excellent location on Venice boardwalk. Reasonable prices and accommodations.
Rooftops bar is a must stop in Venice. Great view with a decent menu. Tables are reservation only
Very cute and hip small hotel. Location was perfect for quick weekend getaway. Front desk service was friendly, prompt and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and we even had an ocean view. Next time we will stay a bit longer.
Super roof top for a drink at sunset, reservations recommended to have a seat, otherwise you will find a standing without worries.
Clean. Expensive. Not so fancy. I stayed there for 5 nights and took an Ocean View room. The building doesn't really feel like a hotel and the lobby is very small. There's only one elevator that serves all rooms plus the bar on the roof so More
Unfortunately we got there 20 minutes before close but the staff was friendly and didn't make us feel rushed. Beautiful night, beautiful view
Lovely hotel. Maybe right on the expensive side, but we had a nice room with a balcony and a view of the Pacific Ocean. Stayed at 6 floor room 12 .... Go for 616 to 610 ....
Expensive parking but it worked perfectly .... The hotel is just off Venice beach just perfect and after all it's a special area but we didn't feel unsafe.
Very nice home. The staff are lovely. Room with impeccable sea view. Quiet and spacious.
Two criticisms all the same. Even if the roof top is superb, up there, it's a rip off .... in addition to being neither good nor plentiful.
Personally, I find the hotel a bit expensive.
Girlfriend called and inquired about reservations about 5 or 6 weeks back. We have stayed here several times in the past few years just because we like the proximity to the beach there in Venice. She asked a simple question about the beach opening during the pandemic and the gentleman she talked to at reservations gave her attitude and responded back with a snarky answer. That is why we didn't stay here this time, and in truth probably wont anymore. The reality is the place is over priced anyway at $350+ per night not including taxes, fees, etc. The accommodations are on par with a La Quinta or Ramada. Your paying for proximity to beach is all. Parking is ridiculous too at $50 a night, and the upstairs bar which probably isn't open at this time has sub par service and a lot of the workers up there have snide attitudes to boot. We did wind up traveling to California but elected to stay over in Santa Monica at a cheaper and nicer hotel also on the beach.
I liked it since uvo a good service You received a cordial mind 1697 pacific ave, Venice, CA, 90291
Great views and easy walking to all the places Venice has to offer.
Great locale. Great atmosphere. Clean, modern room.
Had the best time. Amazing roof top bar with a 360 degree view of the beach and all the way to downtown LA
Met my wife here. We love everything about this place. Rooftop is the best. The owner and team are fantastic.
Right by the beach, big clean room with a view of the ocean, beach towels in the lobby (awesome perk), rooftop bar. Good stuff.
Clean rooms, good service, great location, cool rooftop to get food and drinks
I attended a great networking event here, I did not stay the night. Located closely to the beach. The rooftop was great, but the middle section which was carved out for the rooms below was made the rooftop from being exceptional. The private event was run really well with great food and service. For a corporate event with 100 or less people, I would highly recommend this location.
