Location, location, location. Close to everything ...
Location, location, location. Close to everything if you want to stay out of downtown.
A bunch of extra fees, but it is,what it is in the Galleria area.
$25/day to self park is steep.

The room looked nice, which was about the only positive thing about it. The bed was really uncomfortable, the parking was 25 dollars to park yourself, and on top of that, the elevator in the parking garage didn t even work, and apparently hasn t for two weeks, we had to be shuttled to the front of the hotel in golf cart while clinging to our bags so they wouldn t fall off. We requested champagne to be put in our room because we were celebrating, and they charged us about $50 for a roughly $12.99 bottle of champagne. Then, to top all of it off, we were woken up at 8 am to the ridiculously loud fire alarm going off through the entire hotel, which, turned out to be a false alarm after about 10 minutes, and multiple of the same announcements over the loudspeakers. All in all probably the WORST experience I ve ever had with a hotel, especially for the ridiculous price.
The staff at Hotel Derek are always super helpful and very pleasant. I stay here quite often, as the location is perfect, the complementary shuttle service is very convenient, the rooms are swanky, and the bartenders (Tarsha and Mike) are awesome!
Dennis at the front desk was exceptionally rude. When we called down to ask for towles, he began asking a series of questions as to why we would need them. The hotel is not cleaning rooms during your stay any more, so the only way to get fresh towels is to call down for them. The ask was for five large towels for two people. Seems reasonable to me... he proceeded to ask, "how many people are in the room, is there a leak, why do you need towels," etc. The line of questioning had me taken aback.
This used to be a nice place, but has gone way down hill, lead by the poor service.
The door to our corner suite looked like it had been forced open. The room smelled like smoke upon arrival. The halls are in need of basic upkeep.
Truly a disappointing experience. I wont be back.
Awesome hotel! Went here with my mom and had the best time. I read the bad reviews and they were misleading... thanks for a a great stay!
My daughter and I stayed here as a getaway trip. We had a great time. I hate paying so much just to park overnight. It makes it really hard for a single mom to do things like this.
I attended a Halloween party. It was an alright event with very rude people.
Three star price for a four star Hotel with a three star service, a three star bed, a four star room, a five star shower, and a two star pool. Not bad at all. Not the most luxurious, but definitely the best value I have found latterly.
Excellent accomodations. Superb staff and restaurant as well as conference facilities after some tweaking.
Nice hotel, but outdated considering it's a boutique hotel
Truly one of my rather most exceptional hotel experiences and I loved everyone. Truly and simply.
Everyone representing the hotel to me seemed more like chill and just genuine. I forget names and I am writing this a tad weeks latter however everything seemed seamlessly just flowing in perfect sequence and effortless harmony.
Trendy yet like quaint feeling throughout and sorta just felt young and younger. Definitely some psychology playing a part in this including both lighting and it's strategic placement. Young Royals type purple tone. Idk
Nice modern aesthetic if somewhat inconvenient parking
The whole place was immaculate. From the looks to the smell. Every hallway the lobby the elevators even the small restaurant/bar just had this light scent that was just BEAUTIFUL!! The bartender was very nice (everything is only to go... To your room lol) but she was super nice and patient because I couldn't decide haha. Also have to give a nod to the security. Can't even go up elevators without a room key.
Absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff was super helpful and friendly! The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel restaurant has excellent food. The parking garage behind the hotel was super convenient and hassle free.
Very clean nice up to date hotel. Friendly staff, nice lounge area and bar, good drinks, beautiful view of galleria. Would definitely come here again.
Good business hotel. the room is clean. Special point is shopping; very near to walk to Galleria shopping area . I can say this is pretty higher cost-effectivness hotel. There are many other kinds of shopping malls and restaurants near to this hotel. When I was alone in the weekend, I could spend nice day alone to go around this hotel. I felt very safe.
If you are on the business trip to Houston, this hotel is highly recommendable.
receptionist is also vety friendly.
Excellent service, great attention and total honesty in the charges
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Roomservice was very promp and the wine and food were very good. The service in general was excellent and we intend to return as soon as we are able.
