HOTEL CASA IGUANA Review

About 10 years ago we had gone and we obviously returned because we loved the place! Amazing staff. Your hospitality and attention.
The rich breakfast!
I give 4 stars because the pools need to be more careful.
I know that because of the pandemic they cannot invest because it may not be convenient.
The restaurant and bar is not available. (It's understandable)

It's a little neglected ... and the pool was not working.

Recommended, it is a few kilometers from downtown Vallarta but close to several beaches worth visiting. The facilities are good, mostly attended by senior citizens and families (gringos).

The hot tub has apparently been broken for TWO YEARS but other than that it was fun.

Very good place, and at a very good price, I really liked the experience, it is very close to Mismaloya beach and it was very close to downtown Puerto Vallarta, the hotel is very close to restaurants, it is quiet, I really liked the service it was very efficient, although when I went there was a receptionist a bit inattentive but the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive

Really bad the worse place, broken toilet in the first room the gave me, I told them and they gave me a different one, it had AC broken and lights in the room did not stopped blinking. They offer me another one but I asked to cancel. Since I booked through Priceline they told me to call them. I didn t get a receipt that it was cancel and they charged me anyways even though I stayed at a different hotel. I would not recommend any body to stay. CASA LA IGUANA SUCKS

Rooms smell musty, excessively, air conditioners are really very noisy and ineffective, prices don't respect them and surprise charges occur to them and the staff can greatly improve their attitude.

It is an excellent alternative because it is comfortable and very quiet and dry from the beaches and its very friendly staff!

Very fresh looking, well designed and clean. Many rooms with 2 bedrooms and a living room, and a kitchen. Nice pool area. Stuff is also really friendly. A variety of shops and restaurants nearby. Beach in 5 min walking distance... Loved it!

Hotel off the beaten path with charm, rooms with kitchenettes and a/c. Beach towels provided by the hotel with guides available within walking distance to go beach hoping at reasonable prices.

All very good food and excellent service but very cold pool water ...

50 room hotel. The Mexicans can really party. If you're good with that, great place. Kinda like glamping. 2 bedrooms, LR and half equipped kitchen with 2 burner stovetop. Very clean. Excellent staff. Excellent restaurant. In beautiful beautiful Mismaloya. 15 minutes by bus to PV. We really enjoyed our time here. Out of the very busy PV. We're a 55+ couple. Will answer questions. Have traveled lots.

This simple but very nice hotel has a very good layout and is ideal for when you want to get away from the city.

It's a small spot very nice Waters clear you can do will watching snorkeling or just take a little boat ride

Excellent attention from all the staff, super clean and organized rooms, exquisite food, all at a very good cost

The hotel is very nice about 10 minutes walk from the beach mismaloya, it has a minisuper and but about 5 minutes walk there is a well-stocked store.
A truck goes by that goes to Puerto Vallarta charges $ 8 and takes about half an hour to arrive.
The buffet breakfast offered by the hotel is very good and with vegetarian options.
They accept pets
Rooms are well appointed and feature ceiling fans and air conditioning
They have a pool and a jacuzzi

A nice quiet place to stay. A short bus ride to Puerto Vallarta.

It is a simple but cozy. Clean and the receptionist was very helpful. Nothing glamorous but has a great view outside because is next to a small river. It has a restaurant that provided buffet style food in the morning and good Mexican dishes throughout the day. Only 2 miles to Eden and the Zoo, 5 miles to Boca where you can take a water taxi to the wonderful beaches of Quimixto, Animas and Yelapa. 25 minutes to the Malecon. In case you don't want to drive you can take a taxi or take the bus in the corner for 8 pesos.

Place is super beautiful and nothing else but green forest,at wake up time birds tropical life, just 50 ft down there is a fresh river creek coming from mountains , ocean not very far 1/4 Mille ,be ready for off road travel to "EDEN" . Nice, Where predator movie where filmed , great memories.

Excellent place to spend your vacations. Excellent attention and service from the staff.

Clean, pleasant place, with pool, rooms with two rooms, living room and kitchen. For two people pay 800 pesos.

We were here just because it is one of the few hotels in Vallarta that allow dogs (there is an additional cost of 250 per pet for the entire stay), but in general the price-quality ratio is fine, the rooms are nice, the mattresses comfortable, the Staff is friendly ... A buffet breakfast is offered, but it is very short, there are only chilaquiles, eggs, beans, hot cackes, fruit, coffee, orange juice and an additional stew, yes, it is rich, but very limited. .. The one that is not good is the super cold pools, on the PriceTravel page it said that they are heated, but we asked the hotel staff and they say that the boiler had broken down for a long time, so in cold weather, Better not to get in, but from May to October, I think it's great that they are cold ... The hotel is small, nice and close to Boca de Tomatlan beach ... How there are not many options for traveling with pets, we do think to return

The net is not what they promise, besides that the photos are not real they are super edited and the beach is very far away, besides it is very dirty and with many boats. Bad the net

It is a comfortable, clean hotel with a good price vs. service ratio.

The hotel boasts a framed copy that is on reception as 4 stars but is at most 2. I will comment only on the details that are relevant to the stay because there were several other details that are not critical to the stay.
1.-Never take a room on the top floor, it is too hot. 2.- The mattress is plastic and makes noise when you move so it is very uncomfortable to sleep, the noise it makes wakes you up. 3.- The worst point of my stay: the plate of the access door to the room that touched me. All rooms have an interior door plate and to make matters worse, the system that prevents someone from entering when you are inside (a type of chain that is put on the door so that it can only be opened a little to see who knocks) was incomplete. , I only had the part that goes on the door but the part of the frame was torn and absent, which gave me a bad feeling and mistrust to sleep so I used furniture to lock the door. 4.- The air conditioning does not work properly, it only has 2 options (cold and off) and although if it expelled cold air it was not possible to sleep with warm or cool air. 5.- For breakfast there was no one to clean the tables that were already occupied, morusas and food remains. In the chopped fruit flies stops.
I think if you go to that hotel for cheap you must realize that you will really sacrifice many basic hotel amenities and needs to save money, coupled with the fact that it is far from the center of Pto. Vta.

It is a place Excellent price ratio.
Its beaches and sercas services walking. Apart if you like the activities acaballo or motorcycle 3 minutes walking rent without needing to occupy tourism promotion agency. This way I will make you hungry.
If very recommended if you are not a person looking for a hotel of great tourism. This place is excellent

Nice and clean place at a good price that includes a buffet breakfast, which is average, good or bad, and not much variety. A good point is that the pool is closed at 10pm and opens at 10am

I did not stay here overnight, but took a scuba lesson for discovery dive in the beautiful pool. Fabulous location for actual dive site near Los Arcos

Good service, the breakfast of the hotel restaurant is rich, it is one of the few places that you can still find the true chilaquiles. Comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. They should only improve the maintenance of the pool and put urine detector because it smells a lot of pee and also prohibit drinking alcohol there because the drunkards after 2hr drinking beer after beer never leave there.

The truth is they lack maintenance .. I had to clean the air conditioning filter because it did not cool .. I don't mind doing it but they lack a lot of attention .. The rooms smell old .. The staff lack training .. They recommended a place to us eat on the beach instead of their restaurant .. Which I appreciate because it was very good .. But I think it is not a good point for the hotel ..

Excellent hotel, breakfast included, the rooms have two rooms, I liked that, I have gone to other hotels and they have both beds in the same room

Staff is friendly, but facilities don't work. Nothing in the kitchen works so we don't recommend it

They should talk to the client that there is a malfunction in the pool, whether they decide to go or not. The others are fine.

A hotel accessible for the price and location but not for demanding. I had a great time but just to rest, the staff is very friendly and honest.
