If you are at the falls you should definitely go with this boat. With this you get very close to the waterfall and you have the best experience. You get a free poncho and you really need it. Do not take large valuables with you.

And be on time! In the summer period there is a huge line from about 12:00 PM

Hornblower gets a mixed review. Fantastic experience of the falls and friendly staff.

However, during COVID I would have expected crowd management to have been a little stronger, especially during boarding and departing the boat and even more so upon exiting through the gift shop which was not conducive to physical distancing at all.

Took my overseas friends here for a million times here but this time I chose to onboard this cruise for the very first time and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! I highly recommend it for anyone if you want something fun beside from taking picture from the above. If you have a credit card you can get your ticket from the self serve kiosk it's pretty easy and quick. The price is $25.95 during the day. Then you just need to follow the the path and take the lift down to the pier where you board. You will get the red poncho before your board. We were on the left side of the upper deck and it's a spot where you will get wet! We saw people on the right side stayed pretty dry but we had fun getting wet. I recommend bringing an extra pair of pants as the poncho couldn't cover your lower leg and you will be soaked in wet pants after the cruise.

One of the best experience in niagra. I must say to visit on weekdays for perfect and personal experience. But i request to wear slippers and short pants when you visit cruise, its because your whole below legs and feets get wet due to water sprinklers near the Canadian water fall . But i am sure that you will enjoy this experience the most in whole niagara fall's view area. Must try once.
Thank you.

Lovely time!! We bought tickets online which helped save us time as we didnt have to wait in the ticket line. We walked right thru the line to get to the funicular which was included in our pass (otherwise you would take an elevator down). From there we were quickly given our ponchos and walked to the line to board the boat. Tons of people were ahead of us but we still managed to get a spot for 4 right along the railing for best views and picture taking. Staff was great and welcoming! You get soaked so be prepared!! I would definitely do it again!

The boat takes you very close to the falls and the experience is amazing. We purchased our tickets online(saved some time). We went on a Friday morning, the wait time was very short. The boat was not very crowded. The rain jackets provided were pretty good.

Paid a lot more for a 40 minute fireworks cruise. Only got to cruise for 25 mins. False advertising.
Emailed and filled out a survey with no response from the company. There are so many tourists through that they don't need to worry about return customers.
Boat is shoulder to shoulder packed.

Would have been a great experience; staff was friendly and ordering tickets online was a breeze. However, my girlfriend and I did the nighttime fireworks tour for our anniversary, and the fireworks were cancelled due to high winds.
While this possibility was disclosed beforehand and it isn't the company's fault for inadequate weather conditions, there was no mitigation on the Hornblower's part. Our experience was enjoyable (since we always have a good time together) but the Hornblower's "tough luck" policy left us wih a sour taste; I wouldn't recommend the fireworks tour to family or friends due to the additional cost / risk of cancellation.

Decently priced. A little expensive, but worth it. We went in November so it was quite cold but not very busy. They provide ponchos that are cheap but do their job well. The ride is about 15-20 minutes long and gets you very wet if you stay on the top deck. They serve some drinks and snacks on the boat and while you are waiting for the boat.

Worth every penny! Handicap accessible as everything is either ramps or elevators leading to the boat. Amazing views and photo ops if you can manage to keep your phone or camera dry. Even with the poncho (provided) we got pretty wet but it was so worth it.

I have mixed feelings about the Hornblower Cruise we took. I am definetly glad we went and tried it out, but can't say it would be on my list to do again when we come back. Once was enough Our wait was actually not too long, we came at a good time. Didn't much enjoy hearing the employees screaming at all of us to keep moving down constantly. They sounded angry, though I am sure after yelling all day I probably would be irritated also. They had us so cramped and on top of eachother. Wasn't too happy about that.

We got great spots on the boat and love how when it turns around you get to see the opposite side. When you get half way to the falls you cant see anything and It so windy. It is like you are in a hailstorm or hurricane. Couldnt see anything and spent the whole time wiping my burning eyes. My daughter was smart and turned her poncho around so that it covered her face. She could see everything. 1/3 of my party loved this attraction. I just was happy to get off the boat and get dry again. Worth experiencing once. The American boat looked much smaller than ours. Glad we had the big one lol. Only wish is that there was a better explanation of what to expect when boarding.

I really liked the boat ride. I really hated the wait. I recommend you wake up early and get there by 8 am. In that way you get on the first boat. Even if you get there at 9 am, wait becomes close to an hour, and then longer through the day. We were here during the holiday, so it added to the wait. Watch your phones when on the boat, they will get wet.

Awesome, like the true meaning of the word, not as in how good a t shirt is!. The noise and the experience of being so near to the falls is fantastic.
Highly organised and you're herded in and out like cattle, but hey ho.

While it is exciting to get as close to the horse shoe falls as possible it was a big disappointment when the boat did not stop even for a minute near the horseshoe. No sooner had we reached close to the falls the captain did a quick turn around and we were headed back in no time. I saw all the 'Maid of Mist' boats cruising for a long time near the horse shoe falls and this is what makes the trip worth it. The waiting time to get into the boat was just about 5 minutes when I went two days ago. The boat people should cruise for at least a few minutes near the horseshoe falls to allow us to savor and experience the falls properly. Considering that the ticket prices are quite steep I felt cheated and that it was not worth the money.

With all of the crowds, we too got on the hornblower cruise to view the falls from up close. It's a must experience to feel the thunder and power of the falls. Also learned a bit about the daredevils who took on the falls.

Definately a must-go when you visit Niagara Falls. It allows you to feel the power of the thunder closely. It is a totally different journey to look up at the Falls from Niagara river. Price is abiut $30 CND.

Awesome experience. We bought out tickets from Groupon and had no trouble using it. We went mid-October, so it was chilly but still well with it. Our boat went right up into the horseshoe, we got some amazing photos. The gentleman who worked the gate gave us great advice on where to stand to get the best view. He was very friendly and chatted with us and another couple from London while we waited for our tour. I advise going early as the lines can get very long.

The boat ride into the mist of the falls is exceptional. Being so close to the falls is a fantastic way to see and hear the falls. It is a definite must and for those with mobility issues you can take Walker's or wheelchairs on the boat

Simply spectacular!!! Excellent ride, no doubt unforgettable! You go to the fall of the falls! It's beautiful and very wet haha The boat people deliver ponchos to everyone so don't worry! It is worth going in front of the boat to see everything up close (this is also where it gets wet most). Especially in summer is a must see trip! Worth every penny !!!

We did the night fireworks cruise. It was so fun and so worth the money! I highly recommend bringing a waterproof phone case with landyard because we got to get awesome pictures of the adventure and not have to worry about our phones getting wet or them slipping out of our wet hands.

Great experience, I was afraid it would be a "tourist trap" but it is the attraction to do here!
The staff are very friendly and the organization perfect (people spaced in the gondola, in the lines and on the boat, not very crowded elsewhere), with little waiting.
The best way to see the falls up close! The shower is guaranteed, fortunately a pretty red poncho is offered before boarding.

One of the most worthwhile projects in the world. Coming to Canada without a cruise is a lifelong regret. The boat sailed all the way down to the waterfall. It was so shocking that I couldn't describe it in words.

The experience was awesome and my daughter loved every minute. Worth the money. Customer service was great, waiting times were totally bearable. I highly recommend Hornblower to everyone.

Disappointed that our trip was cancelled on 1 November. The boat from US side was going so unsure why Hornblower was cancelled.
We never got refund from our Tour operator, Niagara Toronto Tours.

Relatively inexpensive, efficient, and a bucket list experience. The boats are spacious even when packed with tourists and they have restrooms. Not too long of a wait and a really pleasant experience.
