Hollywood Casino Toledo Review

At Hollywood Casino for New Year's Eve. Beer and drinks were cold, 80s tribute band was awesome! Great atmosphere, upbeat and fun crowd! Happy New Year!

I don't really care for Casinos much in general, not really my thing. But the place is alright. The live music stage was pretty cool. I particularly liked the local band playing when I visited, The Amelia Airharts.

They don't give comps. There points are slow. The black hack tables use auto shuffle machines so you are not playing with a fair true deck. I'd go somewhere else.

Clean, smoke free (but has a covered smoking patio with slot machines), friendly staff, good food.

Its ok for a casino , some of the dealers are not so friendly which I didnt like tho.

The casino itself is nice with friendly staff. The low rating is for the overpriced buffet that had minimal vegetarian options.

Great time! 1st time ever at a casino and i had a blast. Didnt win much but was still fun

Its an ok casino. Small not a lot of machines but it was nice.

The slots were so tight, we will never go back to Ohio to gamble. We'll stay in MI to gamble.

Fun atmosphere but pretty small in size for a casino.

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 . This was our first time dining for the Whole Lotta Lobster at the Epic Buffet and it was FAR from Epic! Worst food EVER! Most food was either overcooked or undercooked and cold. The Lobster was as if it was from the muddy Maumee River. YUCK! When we cracked the shell the Lobster was actually green in color, mushy, and no taste at all! The peel and eat shrimp was frozen and slimy! While our expectations were moderate going into this $40 all you can eat lobster but OMG this food was not even edible! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Service was mediocre at best. Will NOT EVER return!

UPDATE: I was asked to contact Hollywood Casino after leaving my review and NO ONE has responded!! Typical.

Lack some in customer service, food is good. New years eve was busy but not crazy. 99 for Steak house was high to me.

It's a fun place to go from time to time. Some of the dealers are so nice and helpful. I think it's a great place to go with friends, listen to music, play a little and enjoy the evening.

Nice and big place. Didnt win any big money but it was a nice outing with family.

Nice because it's non smoking...not the place to go if you're wanting to win big. House is stingy with letting patrons win.... it's a bit of a hit or miss...lose more often than win

I went there this evening to see Neil Diamond tribute band and all tables and chairs were sold out!!! I didn't know you had to buy a table way in advance so I left!!

My food was cold and spent around $9 for cold French fries and around $6 for a warm beer but the people that worked there were very nice and polite.

I give it a bad review because it took my money ha ha.

The great atmosphere extremely friendly personnel. Great food live entertainment of times. Very clean free coffee and soda. Pleasant place to spend and evening or an afternoon.

First time there. To many people for my liking. But did enjoy myself.

Comps suck, live close by and have spent a lot of money here, only to receive $5-$10 Back in free play a month, they don't give out food comps anymore??? We go to Greektown in Detroit, have spent less $$ have gotten more play time, $50-$60 back in free slot play a month, $30-$40 towards food and a free room!!! So anymore we choose Detroit. Personal preference!!!

As far as casinos go, this place is great. No smoking on the floor which is a super plus.

Everything is fine except the more public places all you smell is marijuana. I could smell it on the tables also. I mostly smelled it in the elevators. My girlfriend and I started getting headaches from it and ruined our good time so we decided to leave. What a bummer not much security.

Had alot of fun on my favorite slot machine. Doubled my money.

H Lounge - rude, sarcastic, short, slow service. We arrived at the casino around 10:45pm and the doorman directed us to the H Lounge. I spoke with the host and hostess and asked where our seats were located and they pointed behind them and said I should ask one of the girls walking around. I approached one of the servers and without making eye contact, she said, Your seats are over there and vaguely waved an arm in some direction. I asked again to clarify and she said she would take us there, but it was very awkward standing in the middle of the floor with 15 girls. We walked over to an open area and sat down. Adam, one of the managers, I assumed, was a bit sarcastic and gruff in manner (definitely not manager material). We waited for 12 min for a server in the mean time and finally got up to get our own drinks at the bar. I did not realize there was a one drink rule and I completely understand. I am writing to you today to bring to your attention how unprofessional this entrance had been so far with hardly the hospitality that I am accustomed to at a casino.

Next, the servers looked frantic running around trying to accommodate all the tables and were not able to do so in a timely manner. I got up and briefly said to Adam (the manager), We re leaving to which he rudely replied, ok and turned his back to me and walked away. I would have expected for a new business or any business for that matter that he would have asked me what the problem was or how it could be rectified or even a simple apology for the hassle we went through to get to the casino in the first place only to leave an hour later. This was a very important event in my best friend s life and am very disappointed that she had to experience such poor customer service on this day.

Final Cut Steakhouse - Service is mediocre for a restaurant trying to portray such a high calibre. Menu is bland..nothing creative...no gourmet food items. Food was excellent in terms of taste. I had the seabass. No ice cream. Needs to improve on creativity and add a few gourmet items. Servers are not very knowledgeable and sound uneducated about the menu and food. I have dined here three times and it has not improved. Dessert is dry. I have had all desserts on the menu and all appetizers....the most gourmet item is the truffed french fries.

The Casino is under new management and the machines are tighter than ever. I played there every weekend (same machine) for over a year and don't mind losing if I have fun for a few hours. Since new management it is beyond obvious they tightened the machines. First time I noticed I wrote it off as a bad day for playing., next time when it was the same I knew it was not a streak of bad luck as the machines were not even coming close to lining up just as before but then I tried again., yes I know what an idiot but I had to try it again. Third time I lost 100.00 in 25 minutes on .30 bet. I have lost more many times on .30 and like I said I don't mind as long as I am having fun, but this is ridiculous!! Kid you not!! Such BS..... Good luck people!

Nice n New, Clean atmosphere. It does not give out perks like most casinos. A lot of rules minimum games.

The Epic Buffet was great the price is wonderful if you're 48 years old or above it's $9.99

Not the best casino by any means. The food is way over priced for the quality. Slots are very tight. COVID cleaning precautions are a joke. Social distancing doesn t exist. Hardly ever see anyone cleaning the machines. The bathrooms are the worst, completely filthy. The promotions are completely rigged, if you don t spend a lot of money, they aren t calling your name. Other night they called the same guys name at 4 different hours, where is the fairness. So basically, if you don t have a lot of money...you aren t getting anything. Once you start herring people winning jackpots, that means time to leave because that s when they start collecting money from the common floor to pay the people in the high limit area. My best advice is to go to Detroit, better safety and health measures are being taken and you will win more money while having fun.

Went there at 400 oclock was kicked out at 430 due to dinner change over ask manager brett who would not let us pay the difference and would not help. This is not a place for a business meeting.
Never would we plan a meeting at this buffet center.

People really do win at this casino. I'm living proof although I didn't win today.. I have won about everyother visit. I'm not luckey like that so thanx Hollywood Casino.

Very nice interior, great customer service by all employees

This is easily the tightest casino IN THE WORLD.
the place is clean, it looks beautiful, the food is good, the staff is nice but the actual gambling is pretty abysmal. You're up (at all) maybe one out of six visits. It's ok to lose money at a casino but not this quick. You're supposed to have fun for a few hours and who cares if you lost some money at that point cause you had fun. All the other stuff is great just not the main thing you'd come here for. Loosen up Hollywood.

We love to go on Saturday nights for the All You Can Eat Crab Legs.

Everything is beautiful, bright flashy lights, with a "party in the air" atmosphere. They treat you like royalty here. The only drawback is that everything was so expensive. For example, the buffet was over $30 per person.

We don't always come away a winner but it's always fun trying!

Very overpriced beers, but, of course it's a casino. The machines don't payout very often and I've heard from "experts" that Hollywood casino, compared to other casinos, pays out very low. I didn't personally gamble this time, but have in the past. Overall, people seem to enjoy themselves, although, I think it's a high price to pay for entertainment, when you can go bowling, watch a movie, etc for much less.

They have it set up very well, with sanitizing stations everywhere....as well as people constantly wiping down everything. Social distancing is not a problem either....can't be close to anyone else.
