The selection of games is sparse, parking costs money, the city is all one way streets. Do yourself a favor and pick another place if you can.

It worth the time invested to drive from Rockford to Aurora. Excellent food great gifts, great Casino time, free stuff offers.

Your typical casino in an area that is trying to get itself out of the dumps. The surrounding area has rough areas but does have a desirable location considering the Metra station and the river are right there. The casino itself was vanilla. Slots are playing a little tight. The tables were average. Go in, bet, and just enjoy yourself.

Lots of bums,drugs,hookers, homeless and police, owned a business there back in 2000. Never liked the place never gambled there not a friendly casino. Had better luck with the lottery suprised it was still open! What a joke! Food really bad ,games are for fools better to bet at the otb in north aurora. Illinois not a business friendly state thanks to all those democrats like leeches with their hands out all the time state motto should be whats in it for me ? Anyway stay away from this dive and save your money for a rainy day you'll be glad you did.

Did not enjoy the buffet. You didn't have choices plus the food was old. There were only about five sides to choose from and barely any meat to choose from. This was my first visit definitely not impressed!

Nice 2AM food cafeteria. Great cheeseburgers! It comes with fries and 12 oz Coke. Good deal for around $11.

This is the situation. On December 13 2018 around noon my mother and her friend decided to check the casino out for the very first time. I'd like to say this is a review about what happened inside the actual casino but it is not. Both women nearing their fifties of Hispanic ethnicity came to the security at the main part of the building, my mother was allowed in no problem my mothers friend who is a close family friend was asked for her ID, no problem right actually a bit flattering? The security officer didnt even speak to her rather through gestures, asked her to step aside and show ID, I'm not sure why the reason was but I can assum by his later actions he didnt think she spoke English. She showed him a none expired Illinois state drivers license and was denied and then asked for her passport instead. The only reason I can guess why is because state of Illinois issued drivers licenses given to immigrants are obviously different and people can tell them apart. My problem is this, if her drivers license is enough to ID her in a bar, in a bank, to a police officer why isn't it enough for this casino when she is obviously a woman close to 50. Why was a pasport asked of her when she had a valid ID. Why did the security guard assume she didnt speak English and rather interacted with gestures until she spoke up. I'm sorry but this is nothing more but obvious racism and prejudice shown on the part of the casino. If it sounds like I'm making a big deal its because it is, its humiliating to be turned away for something you have no control over. I dont know what the solution to this is but people need to know what type of establishment this is. I've called and spoken to the security manager who was no help I will be calling again, this issue will not be swept under the rug.

updated review - upped from 3 to 4 stars - I had a great recent experience. After cashing out of the video roulette, I went to smoke. When I returned, I couldn't find my gaming voucher worth almost $200. I asked a manager behind a blackjack table and he called security. They took my info, checked the machine and cameras, and found I had dropped my voucher when I took my phone out of my pocket. They located the guy who picked it up and he had put it in a slot machine on the other side of the casino. They found him and got my money back. This whole thing took about 20 mins total. I've been coming here for about 2 months a couple of times a week and never have any issues. The only recommendation I would make is to have sanitizer or wipes available at any and all touchscreeen games.

Floating casino. I didn t stay long but seemed ok. Metal detectors at the door, which I found a bit odd but I guess you need to know your clientele.

Hollywood Aurora is better than the Grand Victoria in Elgin but that is not saying much. That is about the nicest thing i can say about this dump. Poor service, rude, expense, and small gaming floor.

Worse paying out casino every time I gone I lose hundreds of dollars. I get the bonus on alot of games and never win a single dollar on it. Multiple times got 64 free spins on a ten dollar bet and didn't win anything. I've lost close 20 thousand there cause none of the machines pay out

Three cash redemption machines down, hosts nonexistent, poor valet services, standing in lines where producers are not taken according to their status by the cashier cages......unworkable slot machines

I visited the casino this week and was disappointed by the poor effort to keep the facility germ free. There was no temperature taken as was done at the Rivers casino, I saw only a wipe table at each entrance and no where else. I would suggest that there should be wipes at the entrance of every aisle along with bowls of sanitary packets as I found at the Rivers and GVC. I did see employees wiping down many of the machines and chairs but no one ever came to the area that I was in for almost an hour. I make this comment to encourage a review and change to the effort to keep the gamblers as safe as possible.

Cheap drinks, live music, and hot tables. Most people were aged 50+ but there was still a fun vibe.

Been to Casinos around the globe, since Covid, I've NEVER seen machines so tight.
So sad, and their rewards are based on time played vs dollar amount.
Example: play 5 cents a spin all day, lose $20 and they will give you the world.
Lose $800 in and hour betting the max, and they comp you nothing.

So, needless to say you really shouldn't expect to win much at a casino. Having said that, this is the absolute best gaming experience I've ever had! Other than winning more than not. The people that I've gotten to know over the years are just amazingly pleasant individuals. From, Christian (a suit) to Kelly and Al ( slot attendants) Scott and Jen ( servers at Fairbanks steakhouse) Kristen and Crystal, Duane ( executive hosts) Greg ( GM) Sonia (head of security). Seriously, I've been all over the world and been to some of the swankiest places, and never taken the time to write a review. When you get to meet exceptional people, it's easy to make the time to write a review so that others might get the chance to experience the same. So if your in or around Aurora, be sure to go there and get the chance at hopefully interacting with some truly exceptional people.

Clean, no smoking lots of slot machines
Don't know what is going on but having been seeing many winners. But I love going where there is no smoking.

I used to come to this place a lot as a kid after shopping with my family to eat. The food and a lot of the cool statues they had were amazing. They moved the casino inside then and I had to stop going. My mother stopped coming for a bit because of an altercation with one of the guards assuming my mom had stolen something which she didn't and it was found to be picked up by the ladies husband. We decided to give then one last chance because it brought me some great memories from my childhood and I figured it would be nostalgic. A lot of those old movie statues were removed which sort of made me sad. They remodeled which is to expected. I Had an ok time gambling though. A problem came about when I went to the bar to get a drink and it was in a small glass. This wasn't an issue until I got the same drink brought to me by a bar maid and it was in a larger glass for the same price. The thing that REALLY made me upset and probably will be the reason I may never spend another penny in there is because I was accused of taking a photo with my phone. I was away from a table, checking Facebook, and not in anyone's way. One of the guards approaches me accusing me of taking a photo to which I tell him I didn't and he asked to see my camera roll because another guard apparently saw me take a photo. I wasn't issued an apology, the guy looked at me as though I was aggressive because of me being upset for being accused, and I wasn't issued an apology upon showing him my camera roll. That is highly ridiculous, rude, and left me with a bad experience. They need to do better!!!

Great to gamble, or just people watch! I recommend the Zeus 3 slots machine, he is my lord and saviour now.

Overpriced drinks and the overall ambience is just depressing. Slots are tight and the open tables are few and far between. Don't count on a waitress coming by to get a drink, save yourself the hour and a half wait and walk to the bar.

Yesterday, we entered thru the Lot Y entrance and found ourselves being held up by 1 security guard. He told us to wait for a minute while another staff member was coming. We weren't sure why or if he wasn't able to check our IDs. After several minutes we asked if he needed to contact management to figure out the dilemma. He said back 'What am I supposed to do?' And he didn't seem rushed ot bothered to radio his staff for help. We ended up leaving. Disappointing evening since it was my husband's birthday.

It stinks! Played 240.00 and never got a decent win. I haven't been there in two years and was reminded of why.

Had such a pleasant visit this evening. The young lady ariella was working at the gift shop and she directed me towards which machines I could look up my points are and she even helped me change my pin! I went to the buffet and was a little disappointed that there were no crab legs but everything else was delicious! Security was so helpful when I needed to be directed to the valet parking! Will come again!

Give me 1/2 of what you plan to gamble and leave. The machines are TIGHT!

It was my first time going to this casino. I have it three stars because I haven't had a chance to try any of the restaurants nor have I seen what kind of rewards they offer.

In the Early years of Hollywood casino,The machines would give n Take, therefore calling it Gaming n Having fun!!! More Jackpots or taking home Winnings!!! Now its a Humiliating experience to See your Moolah Gone in 30 minutes or less!! Less Jackpots,Winnings etc....!!! ATM here i Come!!!

Very tight slots... Payouts are less than bet and most slots are separated by plexiglass partitions. Very TIGHT quarters while playing. Casino was very clean though and staff was helpful and friendly.

It's a fun place to visit, and it's a well run operation

We stopped in to see the band, Libido Funk Circus. The band played in the middle of the casino and there was a small dance floor. The sound was very good. There was a single line at the bar to get drinks and it moved relatively fast. The drink prices were very reasonable. They have a Two Brothers sign at the bar which led me to believe there would be a few selections, but there was only one.

If you have the money, this is a great casino! :) The staff at this location are some of the nicest folks I've encountered in a casino. This morning, a couple buddies of mine and I came out to waste some time and $$$. There was a crew of 3 dealers at the craps table that were willing and excited to teach us newbies how to play craps. I've had the same experience with patient, helpful blackjack dealers and Mississippi stud dealers as well. You dont need to go to the city or Vegas to get high-quality service!

Good place to gamble and they have live bands Friday and Saturday nights.

high minimum roulette. valet had me wait 20 minutes before giving me the keys to my car because they said they had seen me and my two friends drinking on camera....well my friends did have drinks, I ordered a water I never got and didn't have anything to drink and you should check the cameras. Wont be back here again. I will go down to Elgin Casino where there much friendlier
