Hollywood Casino-Aurora Review

I am not a gambler, but my husband is otherwise I wouldn't go here. Lots of slot machines. Bring headphones if you don't like a constant barage of noise. Stay away from the machines near the bathrooms if you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke. While the building is smoke free, people can go out the doors near the bathroom to smoke, lots of smoke and smell filter back in. The food is OK. Free water and soda machines available.

Been going since it came to Aurora. It's pleasant for the atmosphere. The food is amazing. I even been to the steak restaurant. I can easily give HC five out of 5 stars!!!

They offer full variety of slots and table games. Offer buffet, deli and upscale dining.

Loved the bright atmosphere and everyone was having a good time, BUT THE LINES FOR CASHING IN TICKETS WERE VERY LONG AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TICKET CASHING KIOSKS

Not a big as I expected. Small selection of newer slots. Could not find any $5 Blackjack tables.

I guess it's been awhile since I've been to a casino. They don't have a person that will let you take out money and get tokens anymore. It's all ATMs with heafty fees so bring cash. I learned that the tables take cash but won't take the credits given in the slot machines. I had to cash out to play again. The person at the roulette table was very friendly with letting me learn the rules. It was my first time playing at a real casino so it was fun. Beware that of you look under 35 they will card you and it might take a minute to get your hand stamped. I got a little flack from the rest of my party for holding them up a bit. At least I had my ID ready.

Had a great time with my daughter's 1 of them played for the 1st time and hit a $200 Jack pot.

They don't care about the people that gamble their.

Bad casino in this area. last night spend like $1000 in one slot machine nothing was paid out. same thing happened last week. It was not just for me there was another lady sitting next to me had the same experience. We complained about our experience to the manager and a technician came and did some testing and we had seen right after that we got at least some money back. that shows this place is full of s$%t. Money eating machines. Not a good place to spend your hard earned money...

Nice and clean casino. My experience was that they didn't fool me like I was going to win in slots that day and didn't notice anyone else winning either. The buffet was clean and food available was well prepared.

For a place called Hollywood, some areas at this Casino are a bit lack luster. I love the Hollywood paraphernalia disburst throughout. Now if I could win here, that would be fantastic!

Such a fun place to be at! It s crazy here and what made it better was our waitress. Her name was Lydia. She is really nice and goes out of her way for the customers. One of the best I ve ever witnessed at casino; definitely coming back to play.

We always lost,,not like before we are winning , starting next month we just go in JUMERS even it us very far, they give free buffet for two and free hotel for 2 days.

It's okay...definitely a place to at least visit once. To say "Yes, I've been there". Other than that we will probably go elsewhere next time.

Great customer service! One of the best! Kiosk was down so I got cash to play instead of slot play.. no casino I have ever been too gives cash. Unreal. Thanks much if I'm ever in the area again I'll be back!!

The worst casino in the area. I have been here several times because it is close to home. Tonight was the last straw, I'll never come back again. I had a dealer who's name was Alexander and he was the rudest dealer I have ever had. I'm not sure how a casino could actually hire someone so rude to be a dealer. I'll drive an hour away to go to Harris now.

Nice assortment of machines. They also have refreshment bars where you can get your own drinks (non-alcoholic). Which is great! Especially since I had a hard time finding someone to get me a drink. Nice snack bar with food that is both good and reasonably priced.

Do not valet if you have an over sized car or expect to wait 30 mins! Also, drinks are not free! Worst casino I have been to!

This looks like it might have been a nice place at one time. Why do they charge for parking??? So sad...

This was my first time at a casino and me and my friend had a ball. We had a coupon for the all you can eat buffet and everything was delicious. I will definitely be returning there and will stay longer so I can experience the casino more but to also enjoy the food.

The poker room is ran by unprofessionals, they haven't gotten a clue about the rules of poker. I called the player's all-in wanted to muck my hand when the player asked him to show it, which I refused. The Floor was called who said that it doesn't matter who called whom, if anybody asks to see your hand you must show. Absolutely unacceptable!

Nice casino and very good dinning options. No more boats but the bardge is very nice with lots of slots and table games. The general parking is about a block away but there is a heated and covered walkway. The area around the casino has great bars and restaurants right along the river.

Turned 30. They denied my ID. Everywhere I callled casino wise, Said as long as it s a hard copy I m good. Worst experience ever there. Wish I could give negative stars.

Like any casino you are better off trying your luck at the tables. This place is always nice and clean and the staff are always very professional.

You cant beat friday night poker action. Free parking with players card.

I enjoyed the experience. I, and some other people, wanted to gave dinner before a show just across the street. The buffet wasn't as eye exhaustive as some others that I've visited, but the food was very good.

This has been by far the worst experience I have had at a casino. I have several friends and family who have gone to this specific casino and needless to say we will not be coming back after the disrespect by staff we have received on multiple occasions.
I was asked to leave after being up at the blackjack table by over $1,000. When my friends and other people at the table asked why I was getting kicked out, they responded with "I was showing signs of intoxication." I ordered 1 beer and didn't even drink half of it. I was excited yes, I was up over a grand but that was by far no means to be asked to leave the table. I asked a staff member named Willis to speak to a manager and instead walked me outside.
I asked for a manager out by valet for a second time. Manager Sonya met me out outside and I explained to her that I drank not even half a beer. Her response, "There is nothing I can do."
I am 100% sure that this casino kicked me out because I was up a grand in blackjack. The disrespect and customer service was disgusting. My friends and I will not be going back.

Checked out the barstool sportsbook bar, very nice setup, great food, friendly staff, our bartender Daisy had some great recommendations. The manager Cheylene also stopped by to check on our experience and was so friendly. We will definitely be back.

Fun place but restaurant doesn't open until 4pm...they should either change their hours or set up a small snack stand so people can get something...we ended up leaving earlier then we wanted because we thought there would be food and there wasn't...thank you...

If you want to win pay the floor rep.it's a looters paradise. no fun it's all money eating machines. ..I won't recommend this place to anyone..give the money to homeless that will make your life happy...customer service is the worst I have ever seen....worst casino and it's waste of time... no fun at all....

I parked on the street in front of the casino so I could feel safer going to my vehicle. But as I was leaving I was followed to my car thankfully other people are coming down the street. I don't think I'll be coming back here it's not safe I don't feel safe.

STEALING IS GOING THERE. someone took my jacket within 30 mins. security wouldn't do anything about it. Old & outdated casino. spiders everywhere INSIDE Casino. not attractive as an entertainment place should be.

Went to the cage to find out how to get my free slot play on monday night & was mis informed so lost the free play. Nobody seemed to care that the employee at the cage told me wrong. She even admitted she told me wrong. Thanks for not helping me. It was only $25 or something. This is how they treat you as usual. I have spent so much $$ there because it is close to me & I think it's time to go a little further from .now on.

Aside from the atrocious parking situation, the casino is a basic one. There's nothing there that causes me to recommend it strongly, but it is fairly clean and has two levels of games.

No one ever wins. Very tight machines. Plus, seldom NEW games. And, they never offer a reason to go out there.

We went yesterday and it was like they didn't have the air conditioning on. Was so bad. Sweat the ENTIRE time there. Won't EVER return.

This is definitely not my favorite thing to do, but I usually do have fun while here--a testament to a fun, interesting place.

Try the Real casino's don't waste your money here. We stopped by one day during the week early. We thought great we got a parking spot rite in front No sign other than no valet till 8very30 am but that was it, we go towards the Elevator's which were closed we proceeded down the stairs only to find out they were closed till 8:30 AM, we were there @ 6:30 who new really. Before walking I had asked if I could use the restroom, 1 of 3 people at the Entrance 2 men 1 woman to the casino floor One of the men said" yes sir go rite ahead, but the other man short ,& puggie in size stated no you can't , walking with a cane you think a little passion . Midwest hospitality NO. So go to The Hard Rock or to Vegas or Atlantic City, But stay far away from Hollywood crapcino.

I brought my boyfriend here for his 40th birthday, because he had never been to a casino before. We had a blast. The place is clean and the staff member at the cage was kind. They have many penny slot machines and a huge variety of games. We will definitely be back for the dinner buffet and to gamble.
