This hotel is poorly managed. They overbook and leave your family without a place to stay. We had a reservation and they even sent a confirmation email to let us know our room was available. However when we got there to checkin they had sold our room and left our family without a place to stay. Our family will never stay at this hotel again! I recommend that no one ever book this hotel unless you want to risk sleeping in your car. If I could give zero stars I would.

Great hotel. Very convenient parking on site. The rooms are a little bit outdated, but very clean with comfortable beds, good working desk and chair, great variety of channels on TV.... Free wifi available with good speed. But the highlight is the restaurant in the top floor with great view of Potomac River and Georgetown University.... Excellent breakfast for this level of hotel, better than the average Holiday Inn.

Beware. Bad experience. They do not have microwaves in the rooms or a refrigerator. We were charged three times for breakfast. We had already paid for breakfast when we made our reservation online. The restaurant breakfast wasn't even that good. The pankcakes were dry and not even hot. Our room phone didn't work. The smoke detector is old and probably don't even work. When we checked in the hotel the front desk clerk just asked for my ID and credit and just gave me my room keys. She also said that we have to pay $20 for parking. What a ripoff. When we made the reservation it didnt even state that we had to pay for parking. She made sure she told us that parking was $20, but she didnt give us our voucher for the breakfast we had already paid for. The room she gave us wasn't that clean. It looked liked they just changed the sheets, linens and the trashcan and went on to the next room. The tables, dresser, desk was dusty. The mirror and the granite countertops werent clean. I could see some stains on them. There was some paper on the floor. The next morning when we went to eat breakfast the employee had added the cost of our breakfast to our room even after we had already told him that we had already paid and he even called the front desk clerk and she also told him that we had already paid. That is ridiculous. Beware. Make sure you check your final bill at the front desk before you leave the Hotel to make sure that you're not being charged three times for food or for something else that you already paid for.

Smoke free room reeks of smoke. Staff not very attentive. Outlets loose, won't hold apple computer charger and in weird locations. And what appears to be a blood stain on the drapes. Not recommended for the $150 a night.

The room was what you'd expect for the price, I do agree with the "dated" comments I've seen where it's time for a refresh and totally agree. However, the location is excellent access to the Metro and the restaurant on the 17th floor was a wonderful perk.

Beautiful marble entry, older building in heart of downtown. Highly performing staff valleys to laundry and every bit of front desk.
Everyone was happy pleasant and helpful. I couldn't have been taken anywhere better for my Birthday.

I have been using this hotel for years. Reasonable prices, near restaurant choices, a block from the Metro, and 1 train stop to DC on the blue/orange/silver lines. Direct train service from the station near Dulles Airport is a big pkus. Always clean with a friendly staff.

I went there for a job fair and couldn't get out of the parking lot because it was small and had no space. I was stuck literally in the parking lot trying to get out for almost 30 minutes. I had to call the front desk to ask if someone could come out and direct traffic. That was the only way I was able to get out. I missed the job fair due to a lack of organization

Great value hotel. Clean, free parking, and the staff was friendly. Stayed here when making a quick stop in D.C. for 2 days during the summertime. Easily accessible to the Metro if you're going to visit any of the monuments. We also walked over the bridge to Georgetown if want to grab a bite, get a drink, or do some shopping. Cheap Uber back to the hotel.

We did not stay overnight, but we shot a wedding party there. The rooms were very clean, had nice views, and the staff was incredibly helpful, even considering the fact that we were not paying guests.

My stay was nothing but comfortable I absolutely loved it! The staff was very kind, patient and helpful. My room was cleaned and restocked every day. It was very spacious and clean, the balcony was a great size and I had a beautiful view from the 12th floor. Elevators were nice sized and clean. Parking was easy. I didn t try breakfast it was personally out of my price range. Great location literally 5-10 minutes from D.C without all of the traffic and chaos and a good distance from Maryland. Wonderful hotel I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location and look forward to returning soon. This is the best location for accessing D.C. via public transportation systems and is a short walk to the train station.

Close to DC , but far enough away you don t have to fight the traffic to get around. The rooms are spacious and comfortable . The restaurant on the 17th floor offers a panoramic view of DC and you actually have a fully operational balcony! Very competitive prices....great value for your money.

Everything was going ok... Little trouble with the elevators but for a place to fall asleep between 12 hour adventures in DC it was fine, even had a nice breakfast, plus it was close to the metro ... Until.. My wife and several other patrons actually got trapped in the elevator... Then my opinion changed. There was trouble with the elevators... Everyone I bumped into staying there knew it, sometimes 10 min waits for it to even show up. If everyone staying there knew it, the staff did too and still, people, including my wife got stuck in one that just quit. As a matter of fact, at the time of this survey, she's still in it.

Our two night stay was a pleasant one. Calm, clean and upscale hotel in a modern surrounding near Roslyn metro station where you can catch Blue, Orange and Silver trains to the National Mall. Free car parking, nice view from the 17th floor Vantage point restaurant are a plus, however lack of complimentary breakfast was bit disappointment. Check in time was 3 PM but the staff was kind enough to make us check in as early as 1 PM. Will go back again and recommend this place.

Outdated is an understatement. Dirty and dilapidated is more accurate. Heat in the rooms is nonexistent. Double beds instead of queen size were not adequate for three adults. Laundry of the linens smells of puke as well as the hallways.

We stayed here last year and liked the location and the hotel so we decided to stay here again this year. We arrived, dropped our bags in the room and went out for dinner. We returned later and went to bed. When we got up the next morning we noticed that on the sheet under the pillow was blood. We looked to see if we had cut ourselfs but had nothing that would have bleed. We realized that the blood was there under the pillow and we did not notice it. The sheet must not have been changed from the last person. We checked out and decided not to bother saying anything because we were leaving and we will not come back to this hotel. I took pictures of the sheets and decided to write a review. After we left we received a phone call from a police officer asking if we had left anything in the room? I said not that i was aware of why what is there and why are you calling. We were told a bullet casing was found in the room and asked do we own a gun. NO we do not and I told them about the blood. The officer said ok I will take care of this and hung up. I was very shook up and upset. We we're in town visiting our grandchildren. We will NEVER stay here again.

Went to restaurant at the top of the Holiday Inn with a group of 16 for drinks and late night small meal. Service was poor. Not enough wait staff and attitude poor. Resented the 20% tip that was added to our bill for such poor service. Crab bites were excellent but chicken sandwich was burned.

Very outdated rooms. Small showers. The breakfast was not included and not worth the $10 per person. The room did have a balcony and the bed was comfortable. But the card system was down so the restaurant and cafe did not take cards and wanted to charge everything to the room or take cash. Parking was a ridiculous $20 a day! There was also no microwave in the room but the fridge was a decent size.

The best part about the place is the dining area. Other than that the building is old, weird noises in the wall probably equipments behind the wall and there were people making noise and banging on the door at midnight. Not very family friendly.

It is an older hotel, but kept very nice. The rooms are clean and very nicely put together. Really liked that every room had a balcony and a view. The beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. The restaurant on the 17th floor was over priced for their menu and cooking abilities. Our waitress did not speak English well and her desire to actually wait on us was unreal. She would not be prompt on refills of beverages, never asked how the meal was, or asked if we wanted dessert. The restaurant wasnt busy, but she couldn't handle her workload. It was our first time there, and will stay again. All other staff of hotel was very accommodating and reliable. One bad meal with restaurant did make me take one star away. Had we not been to the restaurant I would have given all five stars.

Came as a chaperone for a trip to DC. It is an old hotel. Came in to a broken heater that was blasting. Amneties seemed outdated and many rooms smell unpleasant, esp when you run the air. Bathrooms are small. Very loud guests and the hotel did nothing to control other schools from being disruptive. Thin walls. Not friendly staff.
