This is the nicest hotel by the Oakland Airport. The rooms are pointed very well and it is quiet. For the most part, the facility is clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable and did not look to be overly abused. I will certainly stay here again if there is availability. Be sure to book early as his hotel fills up quickly.
Clean room, nice & warm reception. But there is a charge of $9 over night fee for the parking, also breakfast is not free.
The check in staff was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful especially at 1 am. My room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Everyone was super nice tonus at check in. Had shuttle cone get us from car rental drop off, which saved a ton of time and hassle. Clean quiet room. Got to pay for parking at a hotel you are paying for...which kinda stinks. Went over my free fifteen minutes from driving in to checking in to unloading luggage. 3$. Not much, but a bit annoying.

My experience with Holiday Inn Express is always awesome!! I was relaxed like I wanted to be and comfortable.. staff are always nice and courteous that's a plus! Everything was clean that was a concern due to COVID-19. I'm a happy customer
You can literally hear the ppl next door laughing and being loud. Oh and who the hell unplug a fridge other then that you get what you pay for.
Food in the restaurant was delicious, and they had a good selection of beers on tap.
Hotel was clean and in a great location. Due to strike happening at neighbor hotel very loud sirens constant Lee heard from my Room starting at 7:00 a.m. To 6:00 p.m. in which hotel could not do anything about nor they advised would the police department. This made staying in my Room during day hours very difficult. Additionally charge of parking overnight per vehicle was $10 which seemed high.
Very nice hotel and staff. The restaurant in the lobby was very convenient too. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Did not stay for the night, but the rooms were spacious, clean, and accommodating. The restaurant downstairs is what lost a star. Still, the bar had decent fries and drink selection.

Relocated to this hotel following the cancellation of our flight, we were able to test the dinner and breakfast in the American format, so there is plenty to eat (partner restaurant in the lobby of the hotel). The room we stayed in was huge, but given the circumstances I do not know if this is the case for all ...
Towels smelled like chlorine. AC for the room didn't work effectively and turns off at night. My car was hit in their gated parking lot and they couldn't tell me who hit it even with the parking lot cameras around. The restaurant service was a hit or miss, great five star service on some nights and very slow service on other nights. We were here for over a week so we went there to eat most nights due to our work hours. Front desk seem nice and courteous. The pool is nice and heated. The gym has a basic dumbbells set up to 35 lbs. The location itself is close to the airport which they do offer shuttles to and close to the BART also.
I was there for an event and the space was comfortable and clean, bathrooms were very accessible, staff was nice.
Everyone was awesome, to the check-in experience to the shuttle driver to the pizza delivery. Rooms were excellent and big. We were very pleased (and shocked) at the great experience. We will use OAK airport again and stay at Holiday Inn before our flight.
Paying for parking at a hotel I am a "guest" at always rubs me the wrong way, but besides that, the property and staff are top notch!

This hotel and staff were top of the line!!! I stay at a variety of hotels in a variety of cities throughout the Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay areas for work and travel. This was my first stay in a hotel in Oakland instead of staying with family in the nearby city of Berkeley and it was truly wonderful! Fair price, great rooms and friendly staff and a courtesy shuttle to and from the Coliseum was a great added bonus! Will stay here again whenever traveling to Oakland!!!

Extremely clean and fabulous Suites! Convenient due to the fact that they're right, like literally, 3 minutes, away from the airport!! Friendly staff and I was on the quiet side, so the stay was perfect!! No free breakfast like the Holiday Inn "Express!" So that was a bummer. But, they do have a restaurant however I don't know how good it is!! They have a happy hour during the week from 4-7pm. I only stayed 1night and overall, the stay was comfortable for a good night's rest!!

I'm here regularly for business. It's right by the airport and they have a complimentary shuttle. Never had a problem. A sports bar is on-site and gets pretty crazy when the Raiders are playing, but the staff is always great.
I stay here frequently for business. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are very friendly. Although, as an IHG Platinum Elite member, this is my least favorite holiday inn to stay in. Mainly for three reasons - the breakfast at the restaurant is VERY expensive. I really don't understand why. Also, the walls are paper thin and 9/10 I've stayed here I can hear people on the other side snoring. Last time it was so loud I had to switch rooms. If the rooms were configured differently it wouldn't be an issue. Lastly, in my last stay, having booked my room weeks prior with my preferences saved (high floor, far from elevator) I was assigned a room on the second floor and right next to the elevator. When I asked for a better room they said they were booked.
When staying near the airport I prefer the holiday inn express. It's currently under renovation, but has free breakfast and I don't seem to run into as many noise issues when I'm sleeping.
Stayed here for a couple of nights while having some work done on our boat at Grand Marina. The hotel was clean, but in need of some upgrades as it is an older hotel that has been modernized . The restaurant/bar in the lobby was a nice perk. Good appetizers, meals and beverages without having to fight Bay Area traffic was a plus for us. We will use HIE Oakland again if the need arises.
Superb service, excellent customer service on every shift and always clean. Made me feel like home away from home. Close to Oakland Airport and the Fairview Metropolitan, a beautiful golf course.
I would recommend anyone coming in from Oakland airport to stay here, wish they had some breakfast options in the morning though besides their dinner.

This is one of the best hotels that I've spent time at. The rooms are clean & upgraded. The staff are professional, always friendly & deliver spectacular customer service.
I live in the next town and come regularly to visit the bar & grill as well as stay the night for a quick get away.
Free airport and shuttle to nearby places, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Close to the Oakland airport. Strongly recommend this place.

All rooms come with king size beds with lots of comfy pillows. The rooms have microwaves & mini fridges & the lobby has a restaurant. I also like how they serve infused water in the lobby.
Excellent stay during my temporary work at the Alameda Coast Guard Base. The hotel is modern looking and bright. My first impression was the lobby. The check-in process was easy and fast. The check-in staff is professional and quickly got me settled. She offered me a room with two king-sized beds with no extra cost even though I originally reserved for a one king-sized bed room because I'm the only guest using the room. But with my luggage full of my work-related items like tools and equipment, the extra space in that room made it even more comfortable for me instead of being crammed if it was a smaller space. The small gym facility is clean and I used it for my routine workouts while on travel. The cleaning staff were always very thorough in the cleaning in the age of COVID-19. Overall, the stay was pleasant for me. Everything is meticulously clean and constantly being clean. Looking forward to another stay at this Holiday Inn when I return.
Rooms have motion detectors on the heat/air conditioning. If you fall asleep and don t move around it basically shuts off your a/c. In my opinion this is stealing. If you pay for a room that is supposed to have a/c and the hotel effectively disables it while you are sleeping how is that fair?
I can't really write much about this hotel, other than I really liked the view from my room and the elevator spot in the halls. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets!
The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. The beds were the usual holiday inn quality, which I really tend to like. More pillows than one cotton field can make, and soft pillow-topped mattresses that put me to sleep like I'm laying in said cotton fields. That might actually be itchy, so lets just assume I'm laying on sheep instead. Darn fields...
So I was only here one night and didn't get to use the hot tub or anything fun, but it was a nice looking facility.
The free coffee in the lobby in the AM was tasty too!
All in all I'd say this is an Above Average Holiday Inn. Great internet, great beds, great rooms, plenty of space, friendly staff, and clean hallways/lobby/rec area. A little far from things, though, so if you're staying longer than one night, go more downtown Oakland for the fun stuff - like the house of chicken and waffles ;)

This is a pretty nice hotel, though it needs some updates on the inside. The staff is very nice, and the bedding is comfortable. However, I'm disappointed with Holiday Inn. We made a quick reservation at this hotel, unfortunately for the next month. Our mistake, yes, but we got there very late at night and needed a room, there was one available, but the rate we were quoted originally was $120. The night we got there we were shocked to see that the rate was almost $400! And no free breakfast. We were only there about 8 hours. We had to take it, we were tired and had an early flight, but that's way too much of a price hike. The girl at the desk said the rates vary by night, but I'm sorry, that's ridiculous. My beachfront hotel in Oahu wasn't that much, and it was much nicer. I'm not happy with the fact that Holiday Inn is adding restaurants to its hotels and dropping the free breakfast, not worth it because most other hotels offer it. I'm an IHG Rewards member, but that only helps you out if you do a lot of traveling and occasionally get a free night. I've always liked Holiday Inn, but from now on it's last on my list.
The room is nice enough. Micro/fridge is great. My only complaint is the deotorizer used in the rooms. Heavily concentrated spray used to mask another smell. Causing me to sneeze all night and have a horrible headache. The hotel needs rooms without this spray for sensitive noses.

The family and I stayed here two nights. I would have rated it higher but the AC went out in the middle of the first night. I received nothing but an I'm sorry from hotel staff. They insisted it was working and when we came back from being out all day the room was hot again. We had to insist on a room change for the second night to get it.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. It can be a bit noisy, the walls are thin, but overall a very nice property. Super quick complimentary shuttle service to the airport. Gated entry into the hotel so I felt secure.

Went for a conference. Location near Oakland airport so not the worst neighborhood but not the best. Rooms are clean and well kept. The food at the little restaurant was surprisingly very good.

We arrived at 530 on a Sat. One person at the front desk! What we the issue is was, the girl couldn t assign us the room we booked! She can t tell in her computer how many beds the room has? Its the yr 2019, get your system updated! She gave us 2 rooms, still incorrect with 1 bed for a family of 4! How hard is it assign the room we booked for?
The room was great and the front desk was super nice. But I was going to drop off my rental and the front desk told my to just Call them and they would send the shuttle to come get me. I waited 45 minutes after I called, the front desk had said that the shuttle was leaving then, and it had to drive 5 minutes. I wound up walking back to the hotel.
This room was great! 2 king beds, a fridge, a microwave and a kuerig coffee machine. The food in the restaurant was alright, but they need more servers.

WiFi is pretty hit or miss. Some rooms are better than others, and even different parts of the same room will vary. In-house restaurant is a little pricy, but has good selection and taste.

The Diamond restaurant was great, from the servers as to the cooks to the bartenders, excellent job ladies and gentlemen. Very kind and overall perfect in my eyes. Now as my stay there my experience was horrible. The 8 days that I was there they over charged me from the parking up to an extra cleaning fee of $300. The people at front desk were very sneaky and would take out money out of my account without informing first. One of the nights there front desk gave my so call friend a key to my room around 3 am. $800 is missing in cash over all very bad experience. I can't speak with the manager because they would hang up on me
The Restaurant at this property has Amazing food, and a nice selection in their Bar; And you dont even have to have a room to enjoy it. Although there rooms are nice too. The manager,
