Clean hotel. Great flight status viewer in lobby. Will stay again

We are a family of 4, with 2 boys 16/19 (adult sized boys) Room was very clean and housekeeping was always consistent. The king sized beds gave our boys plenty of room to sleep comfortably together. Shower head needs to be cleaned, water was not coming out of some of the spray "holes". This did not deter from getting a good shower, so there was no need to contact the front desk. Shuttle service was prompt and runs 24/7 to the airport or the nearby BART station. There is an on site restaurant/bar, but we did not visit. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy the lobby or a rest right outside the restaurant (within the lobby). The fitness center is well equipped and maintained. It was clean and had no obnoxious odors. Husband had no problems with his daily morning runs on the treadmill. If we are in the area again, we would definitely consider this hotel. Only negative for us, which we knew when we booked our room, is there is no free breakfast. Hence why we would consider this hotel on our next visit. :-)

Everything was Amazing! We had reservations because it was a big group(60 people) but check in was s breeze! Excellent Customer Service, Room were super clean and spacious! Everyone loved the King size beds! Thank you so much for everything!

Was not satisfied with the room. They gave me a room in the first floor and they had other ones that are empty.

Nothing really wrong with this typical business hotel. Parking is not free but the beds are comfortable and rooms are ok clean.

The hotel is accommodating and the facilities are adequate if not emaculate

If there was a star lower than one, this place would be it. 6AM Sunday morning there is a ALARM BLASTING after a hour ( so far ) the Front Desk informed me it may be Motel next door. They knew about it being set off every morning and said nothing. Thanks for the 6AM WAKE UP HOLIDAY INN. I only wish I could record it. I am sitting here wondering why staff here didn't warn me. Of course it has only going off for a hour and a half now. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SLEEP. Never have I seen staff uncaring as this.

I've never been fussed with the family friendly Holiday Inn chain, preferring the more upscale and trendy chains like Starwood or the reliable business class chains from Hilton (Garden Inn) and Hyatt (House/Place), but a recent stay at this Oakland Airport adjacent overnight blew out my expectations so much that I thought it worthy of writing a review. And here it is.

Let's start with the property itself. I don't know when this location was built, but it shines like a new penny
with modern and admittedly predictable furniture and decor that feels like it just opened this year. Common areas and my room were pristine. There's a full service restaurant and bar on site, surprising at this level of hotel which typically serves breakfast and little else, and certainly nothing memorable. But the bar looked like a place that I might enjoy hanging in for a night-- fun, boisterous, and full of people. This is helpful because the neighborhood the hotel is in, adjacent to the airport, is not designed for evening strolls to see what's available on the local food scene. A room service request made at 10:50pm was not only accepted, it was delivered in under 30 minutes and was hot, and thoroughly enjoyable (two dishes of pasta and two desserts of the day, total including tax, delivery and tip was $75).



Lastly, the hotel amenities were another pleasant surprise. In addition to the full-service restaurant and bar, the property boasts a decent sized outdoor (enclosed) swimming pool and sunning area and a bigger than usual fitness center combining both aerobic equipment and weights for strength training, and in a room spacious and bright enough so as to not flip you into a depressive episode after 20 minutes.

Rooms are nice, clean. From desk service great. Restaurant service a tad slow...otherwise a good stay.

Nelsie, Eric, Larry and all the employees here are amazing, and super friendly. The location is great, and the shuttle is organized and on-demand. Also the Diamonds Bar and Grill has a good selection is food and drinks. Great staff there as well.

The location couldn't be any more convenient. Very close to Oakland airport and the rooms were very spacious. The front desk also helped with any request quickly.

The rooms are very nice. The only drawback for this hotel is the service in the restaurant. The servers were very slow and seemed rather confused on the menu. Other than that I would definitely stay there again.

Comfy, clean, very close to the airport, decent restaurant inside therefore no fee breakfast.

Airport is real close and convenient, We just missed the shuttle as we walked out from the airport because it was full and were told that one would be by in about 7 mins, well 20 mins later no shuttle so we had to call and remind them we were here. Once we got to the Hotel which was a 5 min ride the staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby was modern looking and updated. My room was pleasantly clean and a good size, I checked it top to bottom and they did a very nice job. The water was hot in the shower, the towels were soft which is always a plus. The bed was soft and comfortable and I slept well. I wish there was a continental breakfast but you can't have everything I guess. Overall it was a good one night stay and I'd stay here again

Convenient to Oakland Intl. Front desk has a Arrival-Departure board, with real time updates. Great service rooms nice. Food service only til 11 pm, small snack shop available.

Price is always high as the good location and great service. My family and I love this place. Nice clean and smell good as well.

This is the hotel for me near the Oakland airport. I used to stay at Hilton and my issues were the age of the hotel and the poor internet connection. At Holliday Inn, the rate is better, internet is included, breakfast may be included for $10/day. Internet speed test shows 15Mb down and 15Mb up (!!). For a high tech professional, this place is great.
Of course, the rest is here also: clean rooms, fitness area, airport shuttle and so on. My new favorite place !

This hotel needs an update. It's not gross but nothing special.

The Holiday inn was nice and the bar down stairs was a nice addition. But one of the staff members on Tuesday night was a little rude. Besides the apparent bad attitude the hotel was great.

Wow just wow! I made this reservation kinda last minute but what a delight to have stayed here. Everything from the shuttle pick up at the airport to the check in staff that we met late night to the servers at the Sports bar and the housekeeper who greeted me and was ecstatic that the weather so nice... just such a good experience. Thank you for being "that place" when I needed it. : )

I attended a full day course in a conference room and it was a very nice facility. The room was comfortable and well lit, the restrooms were clean, and the outdoor courtyard was the perfect place to have lunch.

The conference hall is nicely lit. Good breakfast food.

Staff super nice. Free shuttles to BART and the airport. Room could use a little upgrade but definitely not the worst.

They took a hundred dollar deposit instantly and it takes 10 days for them to return it.

Great Eggs Benedict! The next morning I enjoyed a savory breakfast scrambler, the next day I had an flesh english muffin w cream cheese. Watch all the games and get your favorite drink here! Highly recomend the fast track access for the toll. Saves HOURS of traffic!

Maybe a 3.5. For the price (over $200) the hotel needs to be updated. Room was big but dated and we'll used. Shower and tub were dinged up with poor repairs and shower head was dirty. Staff was nice. Been to a few Holiday Inn Expresses that we're much nicer and they are a lower tier.

Great bar and grill downstairs with good happy hour specials, bed was huge and comfortable, and the shuttle driver was prompt and courteous. Overall a great experience after a long flight.

Good holiday Inn experience. No free coffee in lobby and hot water for the shower was a little on the cold side. The bed and soft sheets were very comfortable!

Really enjoyed my stay and the food in the Diamonds Sports Bar was really great, I will stay here again for sure. The room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful which made for a very pleasant stay!

My wife and I booked a non-refundable room at the Oakland Holiday Inn. The airline missed a connection, and we were stranded in Los Angeles overnight, much of the night on the tarmac.
We called the hotel and explained the situation to no avail. No refund, not even a credit.

It's possible to be legally right, but ethically wrong. Holiday Inn had an opportunity to save the day, but instead they made a bad situation worse. This experience has 100% affected how my wife and I perceive this chain, and we're less likely to use it in the future as a result.

Nice clean hotel with a sports bar. Only problem we had was they only gave us decaf coffee for morning and had to go to front desk to get the regular coffee. All good other than that.

This room was great! 2 king beds, a fridge, a microwave and a kuerig coffee machine. The food in the restaurant was alright, but they need more servers.

Beautiful stay,
Which Queen size beds ,were more comfortable than my own bed.
