Holiday Inn Leiden Review

Very nice hotel, very modern, with spacious and well-kept rooms and well equipped for both work and leisure. Highly recommended !!!

Sorry, but the hotel is a disaster. We had a room on the inside, until late in the evening an unbearable noise level. And since that's known, earplugs are on the bedside table. The bathroom has no light switch, but is controlled by a motion detector. This does not work in the middle of the night, because then the entire bedroom is illuminated. General areas not tidy (trash can, playground, etc.). The much-praised breakfast offers a good selection, but the quality of the food and drinks is rather modest. Orange juice is just a joke. We stayed in the family room for 1 night. Parking (also a joke, that you have to pay) over 140 paid. That was not nearly worth it. For us the last time Holiday Ink and clearly NO recommendation!

Fantastic breakfast buffet with full english breakfast, poffertjes and various types of bread and spreads! The rooms are nothing special. A standard bed and not too extensive a bathroom. It is a fairly old building and it shows. The facilities on the other hand are fantastic. Great gym and swimming pool with sauna. Very suitable for conferences or the like, less for family holidays. The hotel has a fairly business-like character.

That's good on the whole. We stayed there one night. The pool is not good at all. Especially the paramedic area has no separate dressing room and for babies there was no changing room.

A good place for a short stay, but not for a long period of time. The rooms are very small, with kitchenettes, one medium cupboard is available, the other with hangers. Good internet, TV, decent laundry room, several dryers and washing machines, quite cheap compared to other hotels. Ping pong available, pond, apparently there is also a swimming pool and gym, but all inaccessible due to corona ... Free car park and space for bicycles, free rubbish are also advantages. There are also places for smokers. Employees take care of order, they regain defects, which cannot be criticized for. Nearby shops: Jumbo, Lild, Albert Heijn, Polish shop, bicycle shops, Leiden University, central station, bank branches ... Although on the edge of Leiden, we have everything "under our breath". The neighborhood is quite nice.

I think it's a great place where you can be vaccinated and tested now, in corona time! Taking pictures was not allowed, but it looked very good!

Avoid when there is an event inside the ECC. Asked for a quite room and now the DJ is playing next to me. This is just ridiculous.

Typical holiday inn service, nice swmming pool and kids play area, good buffet restaurant, close to Lisse for a visit to the keukenhof (tulips). Close to the city centrum of Leiden, about a 5 minute drive and close to some good local restaurants

The weekend buffet is good but is declining more and more over the years.

I recommend this hotel if you go to Amsterdam and do not want to leave your salary in a hotel. It is 20 minutes by car and there is public transport. Very correct rooms and bathroom too. Our room was not facing the restaurant so it was very quiet and quiet. The breakfast very complete.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great food and fully equipped and more. A successful stay! One point for improvement. Internet. Paying for good internet is no longer possible. Even with ibis budget (1 *) I had much better internet. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

Nice hotel. Inside very atmospheric with lots of greenery and water. Have not been in the rooms.

Really good family hotel. No frills, not a 5 Star Hotel, but really comfortable beds, great spaces for the kids to play and keep entertained and areas for the adults to relax. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Location is out of the way of the town center. Room is comfortable and quiet. The breakfast food is good. Service is about average and the price is ok.

Nice, bur don't get a room on the restaurant side too noizy, and dont get a room from the back side where rooms open directly to the wild.

This is very family orientated hotel. To me it looked and felt more like a holiday park than a hotel. We spent one night here. The rooms were a little outdated but ok. We had a room on the inside ring, and it was very noisy. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. I just personally would not come again because of it being so busy with families with kids. We had a room facing inwards of the hotel and it was super noisy, kids running back and forth on the balustrade and constant screams from the play area. Even after the play area closed the noises just went on from the other rooms. Great for some but not for me...

Neat and spacious hotel. Good and wide range of breakfast (small minus is the lack of fresh juices). Staff are friendly and an advantage is the indoor swimming pool with gym and sauna. If there were shampoo and shower gel (preferably without cocamidapropyl betaine due to allergy) at the pool and a bar of soap in the hotel room, my rating would be 5 stars. All in all, this hotel is worth repeating.

Nice hotel in the typiche American style. Pleasant service, good and complete breakfast. Spacious rooms with all mod cons. Streaming from mobile and watching YouTube is possible on TV, so you are not tied to hotel TV.

The staff is nice but the rooms should be improved, if they renovate the rooms and maintain the same level of customer friendliness it will be a 5 star.

It was a good experience staying here.But m not at all satisfied with the cleaning standards.The day we checked in,there was no dusting done n the kettle had tea in it....the bedsheets n curtains were torn!!!!the internet was very poor.
The staff was very friendly n helpful.the parking was right in front of our room so it was very convineant to access.

Nice hotel with nice people and food. 2nd time there is a succes again.

Everything is great and chic for children.
Staff friendly. The only thing that bothered me is breakfast which is very important for me for my day was p.p.
I find 19 euros a bit expensive when you consider that all the rolls were only from the chilled goods and were also small.
no fresh rolls from the bakery. Coffee latte looked like regular coffee.
Cheese only 2 types.
Glasses for the juices all small.
Coffee cups all small for latte also the same glass.
In short, you were simply stingy for breakfast.
good that I didn't book lunch or dinner who knows what kind of surprise I would have experienced ??
had already had breakfast much better than here for less money per night with breakfast and it wasn't skimpy either.
But big cash collects.

The hotel is already getting a bit old. And the situation is not good either. You can not reach anything on foot. But the positive prevails.
Staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. There is a children's corner, billiards table tennis, gym, swimming pool sauna. Breakfast is something for everyone. A lot of choice. Parking also no problem. Are enough parking spaces there. However, with costs. All in one I would give 3.5 stars.

Key cards for the doors didn't work for 2 days. The swimming pool was a joke. Wifi not working at all...

The wifi is terrible. Just awful. Like mid-90s dial up speed. It's definitely a hotel for tourists/families. The other guests always seems to have their empathy dial turned right down. Whatever time of year there's always someone have a party in the room next door, or outside in the corridor. So if you're after doing some work online, an early night, and guaranteed uninterrupted sleep, this hotel probably isn't for you. It's not easy getting a taxi for the airport either.

The cleaner is very bad. They forget the garbage on the bathroom.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms and very spacious beds with the possibility to choose between a soft pillow or a firmer pillow. Staff are friendly and also have a chat with you. Had a very good stay here.

Good hotel with all facilities! Great hotel for families too! Swimming pool, fitness. Buffet on the Saturday evening was good for children up to 12 if you are a hotel guest. Beds on the small side room very warm there is an "air conditioning" but that is not all. Downside the barriers of the parking lot just open and close without a map o.i.d. But a parking fee of 5 per day is charged.

Easily accessible with two buses and a large parking space. Handy for events or meetings.

Very enjoyable hotel. Also very kid friendly. It has a great atrium, with a playground for the kids. It gives a feeling of living in an apartment complex. I had a very good staying for the weekend.

Exclusive hotel for families. An oasis in the center of the hotel. Very original. Good internet and breakfast

Great hotel to go to with children. Beds a bit small, 1.35m wide, and a double duvet on it, but even 1-person duvets solves this. Dinner buffet and breakfast are fine.
Nice pool and playroom for young children.
Unfortunately the table tennis tables are gone and in its place 1 football table.
Ideally located for us for excursions and family visits.
